Stephen glanced at his side and found Eva fidgeting with her hands. She was rubbing her ring frequently
“Are you comfortable?” Stephen asked in an icy voice
“Hmm yes.”
“We are arriving there. Just "stay close to me as the media is present too...
"But why will they trouble me? I mean, I don’t belong to your family.'
“You appear as my date and that’s more than enough to gain the media’s temptation."
Eva just nods, but in mind, she again got an idea of how much attitude Stephen Smith carries on his nose. Such an arrogant jerk.
Shortly after they arrived at the hotel, as the chauffeur opened the gate of their car, Eva had to blink her eyes as many flashlights were sparkling together. Stephen came to her side and forwarded his hand., which Eva held in haste. She was not feeling comfortable in all this light, as she could not open her eyes.
Stephen pulled her close, holding by her waist, and then whispered near her, “Relax, just keep smiling. We will enter the hall soon. “
Eva gave a nod at him, and soon the paparazzi started clicking their pictures. Many reporters kept asking questions about their relationship but Stephen didn’t reply; he just kept avoiding them and soon the security made them better the hall of the hotel
Eva took a deep breath after reaching inside the hotel., but the next moment, her breath got stuck when she noticed the lavish party arrangements. It was something beyond her imagination .
Stephen introduced her to the organizers who were near the entrance to welcome the guests. Stephen introduced her as his friend, and the organizers provided a pair of masks for the dance.
Soon Steven and Eva joined the Smith couple, who were already sitting. Stephen made Eva sit beside him only. Eva was not appreciating this, but she didn’t have any option. However, Stephen didn’t behave badly with her today, so she was fine.
Robert and Richard entered the party and soon reached their table. Eva greeted them, but she noticed Richard was wearing sunglasses. She thought it was weird, but she didn’t comment, as she assumed it to be a fashion of elite class
Richard greeted Eva and got settled on the opposite dude. It surprised Eva, as Stephen and Richard didn’t even greet each other, and now they are sitting hostile toward each other.
But again, who is she to comment on as a couple? No, no ...she again cursed herself in her mind and corrected her thoughts. First friends—that’s what they are, so friends do fight sometimes.
Rose and William were busy chatting with everyone, and Richard Stephen was quietly enjoying his drink. Soon, the announcer made the ball dance announcement, and manycouples reached the stage and started swaying to the music. Eva was enjoying it when Richard asked her a question.
‘You like dancing, don’t you?”
‘No. Not much, but yes, when I was in high school, I got crazy for salsa dancing, as I watched it on some popular dance show. My dad granted my wish and searched for a dance teacher. I loved attending those classes, but the teacher got transferred and so I have to drop them. Anyway, she always appreciated my dance skills, and she used to compliment me as her best student. So you can say I know salsa."
“Hmm, impressive, dear, so you don’t like this kind of ball dance, only salsa? So it means I have to join salsa classes first and then ask you to dance. Well, you know I also joined some classes so that I could not embrace myself at college prom. The dance teacher tried hard to teach me some salsa but at last, she gave up some days and suggested I never try it again as I was worse in that “
Eva giggled at his joke, whereas Stephen just shook his head. Eva felt a tap on her shoulder and he found William, who was forwarding his gift to her
“May I go dancing with this beautiful girl?"
“But I don’t know how to ‘
“I will guide you; now come on."
Eva smiled at him and held his hand. Soon, they reached the dance floor and started the dance. Eva started enjoying the dance
Eva was smiling all the time while dancing with William. As the going music piece got over., someone tapped on Williams’s shoulder. He turned around and found Stephen standing behind him.
William had a surprised look on his face as Stephen was never fond of dancing, especially at parties like this. Before he could ask, Stephen forwarded his hand towards Eva. William gave a warm smile and left the stage, whereas Eva stood there in shock, looking at the forwarded hand.
Perceiving her reaction, Stephen took hold of her hand.
“What are you doing? I don’t want to dance with you. Leave my hand, Stephen. “Eva expresses her discomfort to the devil
But then she noticed other couples started evacuating the dance floor, leaving only Stephen and Eva on the floor. Eva has a questioning look on her face, looking at the surroundings.
