Eva blushed at her compliment. A pink shade adorned her cheeks. She pressed her lips into a thin line. After all, getting compliments from your crush is one of the best feelings.
“She is my friend’s daughter and going to stay with us for some months, “Rose informed Richard
“That’s excellent news. So dear, I heard how you guessed the ingredients of the desert, and you were so correct.”
Eva blushed again; her face turned red like a tomato
“Thank you."
“I wonder how you do it. I mean, this kind of accurate judgment requires interest and also lots of practice. So tell me, Eva, are you somehow interested in cooking? I mean, I am a chef. I could help you."
"I know, sir, I am a huge fan of yours. I read almost all your recipe books and never missed watching your cooking shows.” “
“That’s wonderful to know. Otherwise, some people never acknowledged me as a famous personality.”
"They must be fools for sure. You deserve much more fame and respect for your work. “
“Did you hear Stephen? She called you a fool."
Eva looked at Stephen. She was already giving her a death glare. She doesn’t know that Richard was talking about the devil; otherwise, she must shut her mouth.
Stephen retorted at Richard, “still nothing changed. I still consider you as a fool."
Richard chuckled but Eva took it as an insult to his mentor so she couldn’t hold much
“You should not talk like this."
All the heads snapped towards Eva as it was the first time she was arguing with Stephen
Rose raised her eyebrows at her statement that, to date, she found Eva so scared of Stephen, but right now she is looking like a fierce girl, or better say, a fan of Richard.
“Really? “ Stephen perked his eyebrows
Eva got terrified by his bitter tone but she didn’t figure out how she did this stupid act and got involved in an argument with Stephen
But Richard was smart enough to notice the irritation on Stephen’s face, so he cleverly diverted the topic.
“Anyway, what’s this celebration called for? I mean, you didn't inform me you were coming to my place. Love, you hurt me this time.”
“Your place? “ Eva asked in surprise
“Yes, dear, this restaurant belongs to me. Hope you like the food."
“ I loved it, “Eva replied with a smile
The way Richard complained to Stephen made Eva’s heart sink as she recalled her friends who proclaimed Richard and Stephen as a couple. Listening to the endearment, she thought that maybe her friend’s assumptions were right. She doesn’t know why, but her heart sank at this disclosure. Whereas William was describing how Steve was successful in grabbing the important deal for the Smith’s company, and Richard congratulated him on his success, which Steve received with a smile.
Soon the dinner ended and Rose told Richard about Eva’s interest and also about her joining some classes. Rose kept praising her in front of Richard, which made Eva a blushing beauty.
Soon, back, the Smith family bid their goodbyes to Richard and left for their home.
Eva kept smiling back, but she didn’t have the slightest idea how much trouble she gave to Stephen today, even Steve, too. The way she met Richard, Steve got doubtful of his looks. She never responded to Steve the way she responded to Richard, which made him upset
After reaching her room, the first thing she did was dial a video call to her friends. She didn’t even bother about the time
Her friends picked up the call and found Eva all jumping around the room. It was the first time that they found her happy
