Stephen smirked and whispered to her,
“let’s see how much salsa you know."
Eva was shocked but before she could say anything, Stephen signaled the musicians and they started playing salsa music.
Stephen pulled her close to himself and whispered in her ear.
“Let’s begin the fun."
Before Eva could hear the dance start, Stephen was dancing like a pro, and Eva was astonished to notice this. So Eva took it as a challenge and soon got indulged in the dance.
Stephen twirled her, dipped her and lifted her swiftly. He was not ready to miss the beat and Eva was not ready to give him any reason to mock her dancing talent, so she was doing her best. She was stating the truth, not bluffing around. She was trying to match his steps. But the one thing that was troubling her was his eyes, which were boring into her soul. Their moves were perfect but their eye lock was telling a different story, as Stephen looking at her with so much love and Eva was looking at him as she was trying to solve some riddle
Rose, William, and Robert were looking at their performance with their mouths agape. While Richard kept enjoying his drink with a smile on his face. The present guests were also appreciative and admired for their performance.
Many guests were astonished to know that Stephen could dance so well and till now they never spotted him dancing. At the same moment, Steve entered the party and noticed that they gathered the guests around the dance floor. He thought maybe some special salsa performance was going on. He also reached near the dance floor and his jaw dropped as he sighted the couple.
Then he observed the surroundings and reached his parents.
“Dad, what is going on?"?
“ Magic of Eva, atmosphere, “William replied smilingly. His answer made Steve more confused. He noticed how Eva and Stephen were moving in sync and not to get their intense eyes locked.
Steve was getting irritated by this atmosphere so he just left for the bar and joined Richard
He made a drink and gulped it in one go
Richard asked him, ““What happened to you?”
“My life is getting miserable nowadays. You know, today I was so excited about this party but at the last moment, I got busy at some stupid meeting. And thanks to your friend, he is sending me to Australia. And now look at him dancing like a pro after wrecking my life. Wow, just sending don't know what I did wrong with him."
Richard chuckled and answered, ” nothing much, just aiming to get close to his girl."
“Hmm, his girl? Which girl are you talking about?”
“Eva Johnson, Stephen is in love with that girl."
Steve gave a troubled look to Richard and asked him in irritation.
“Are you high on drugs? What do you do? Think? It’s rubbish."
“No, it’s not. You know the dinner party when I met Eva for the first time. I noticed how my dear friend was looking at her. Trust me, eve, he is my childhood buddy and I know all his looks and what it means. He is in love with her. That next incident was the club incident and what did you get for getting close to her?Is the order to shift to Australia? It was not about business. It’s a punishment for you and also the best way to keep you away from the girl.”
Steve was looking at him in amazement as he was recalling all the series of events
“ So you mean today this meeting was arranged so that I couldn’t accompany Eva to this party?"

“Bingo “
On the stage, the music abruptly ceased while Eva remained in his embrace. Stephen came close to her cheek and whispered to her ears
“I sincerely hope that now you realize I am not what you assume, and therefore I kindly request that you refrain from discussing my interests, as you are ill-prepared to comprehend them.
Stephen moved aside, held her hand, and stepped down onto the floor. Eva was feeling miserable as Stephen knew what she had assumed about him and Richard.
“But how? Steve?You are so dead, Steve,” Eva murmured.
