Page 71 of Chasing Savannah
She leaned over and instead of answering, she gripped his chin and kissed him. And not a meek kiss, but one that had him wanting to put her up on the table and claw off the pants she wore. He gripped her waist, the temptation almost too much for him to resist.
She pulled back and smiled. “I’ve wanted to do that for a while now.”
Derrick growled and leaned back in, delving his tongue in her mouth, needing the taste of her. She laughed and pulled back. She picked up a menu and started humming over food choices.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been here, so I don’t know what to try.” One hand held the menu, her other hand slid back and forth up his leg.
He looked at Carlos stunned. His friend shrugged his shoulder and picked up a menu. The waitress brought bread over for them and took their drink orders. Carlos ordered tea, overly specifying that he didn’t want sweet tea. Savi ordered a glass of wine, and water. While he ordered a beer.
“What do you have against sweet tea,” she teased Carlos and handed her menu over to the waitress.
“It’s nasty sugar water.” Carlos grumbled.
She laughed and leaned over and smacked a kiss against his lips. “You don’t know a good beverage, sir.”
She exaggerated her accent and he grew hard. He found it sexy, and found her playful side endearing. They ordered and Savannah’s eyes watched the woman until she was out of sight. Once that happened, she turned her attention to the Felix.
“Tell me about your day,” she said, nibbling on bread.
They went over their day with her, and he loved it. Loved how natural it felt for them to be together. She fed them both bread as they talked, her fingers lingering on their lips, tracing their faces. Her eyes smoldered the whole time, rousing his panther.
“Something has changed.” Carlos insisted.
“It has,” she easily agreed, kissing the Alpha’s cheek.
“Does this mean…” Derrick paused hopefully. If all the teasing was leading to where he thought, he was down.
“It means, I want to get to know the two of you, date, see how well we get along.” She cupped Derrick’s cheek.
And they did just that. Dinner went by quickly, conversation flowing between them easily. She kept up her teasing, her hands busy under the table while she nearly neglected her food. She touched them, nibbled kisses along any bit of exposed skin she could reach. Derrick’s cock twitched as her hand gripped him, not for the first time.
“Enough,” Carlos hissed, motioning for the check.
She giggled as the Felix shuffled them both from the booth and out to the valet to wait for their car.
Derrick stood behind Savannah, wallowing in her scent. “Come home with us.” He whispered into her ear.
She shuddered and pulled his arms around her waist. “Yes.”
He was surprised and he blinked, looking for something to say. Carlos got in the driver’s side, and this time he put Savi in the back.
When he got in, he turned to his Carlos. “Our mate has agreed to come home with us.”
“For a night cap,” she chimed in from the back. “I’m not spending the night.”
He groaned. For every step forward there was another step back.
Carlos gripped the steering wheel and begged his panther to have patience. He needed to get them all home safely if they were to get anything from their mate. He peeked in the rearview mirror and caught her profile as she stared at passing traffic. She took his breath away. She seemed to feel his gaze. She looked up and smiled. He turned his attention back to the road, but pressed his foot harder on the gas.
By the time he turned into the garage at their prowl house he was hard as stone, and his hands were shaking with need. Derrick helped her out of the truck and he kept a distance from them. If he touched her, they wouldn’t make it upstairs. Her scent filled the elevator, lust and gardenias. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. A snarl rumbled his chest.
“Problem, Felix?” Her voice was soft, taunting.
He turned his gaze to her, his panther pushing to the forefront. Her lust rose thicker, her chest heaving. He growled, his claws growing as he lost a little of his control. The ding of the elevator reaching their floor pulled him back.
Derrick held the door open and their mate rushed off the lift.
“I’m going to change, but will join you two in a moment.” Derrick kissed her, lifting her to fit their mouths together. He put her down and she gripped his shirt.
