Page 69 of Chasing Savannah
Joelle nodded. “I told them everything.”
“Why didn’t they say anything before this?” Savannah was lost. She couldn’t imagine her grandfathers knowing she would be alpha female and not doing everything in their power to make it happen.
Except…
Her grandparents were constantly trying to set her up with an alpha. She sighed. They knew and instead of coming to her directly, they were trying to push her into her position.
“Sneaky bastards.” She put her finger to her lip. “But, why not bring Naomi back into the prowl? No way would granddad give up a Zeta.”
Joelle cleared her throat. “Your tribond is supposed to bring in enough power to trigger the Zeta. It doesn’t happen without you.”
Savannah’s eyebrows winged up. “I…”
“Wow,” Naomi whispered.
Charlotte laughed after a moment the sound startling them all. “You’re about to make some bitches mad.”
Naomi gave a watery laugh, and she let out a shaky breath.
“My family?” She turned back to the seer.
“There will be turmoil in the prowl for a while, but it’s not for you to take on your own. Your mates are supposed to help you.”
“And children?” Naomi whispered.
“I have never seen anything about the prowl going sterile. If the amount of power coming to our prowl is anything like I’ve seen, our cubs will have no problem keeping our place in this world.”
“Oh my God, I think I’m going to faint.” Savannah hissed, so stunned. She sobered. “Why should we believe you?”
“Fela.” Joelle sighed. “You don’t have to believe me. Your fate will unfold as it should with no input for me. Whether your mates have to work for six months instead of two, you are theirs and no amount of running will stop that.”
She looked down at her hardwood floors seeing nothing and then looked up at her cousins and smiled. She realized that there was nothing stopping her from being with her mates.
“Oh, God. I have mates.”
“You have hot mates,” Charlotte corrected.
Yes, she had hot mates, and a date with them in a few hours’ time. A weight lifted from her chest and heat flooded her body. She could be with her mates.
