By the time he helped her back on her feet, her cheeks had turned red. There was the blush that had caused me to fall for her, but I wasn't the reason for it this time. I never imagined myself being a part of a poly relationship, but I wasn't as opposed to the idea anymore. If things worked out, I hoped to have a good friend in Clark.

"You know the rules, don't you, Nick?" Clark asked as his smile faded, to which I nodded frantically.

Well, a friend for life might be a bit of a stretch.

"Yes, sir." I shook my head in disbelief. "I mean…Yes, Clark."

When he left, my shoulders relaxed and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Are you sure you're Daddy's okay with this?" I asked, taking her by the hand and letting her in.

She laughed as we took seats on the couch. "Yeah, he's thrilled. Maybe a bit too thrilled if you ask me. He's just being silly. He does that sometimes. You don't know him as I do. You'll see once you get to know him."

When she noticed the painting on the wall, she walked over to it. "You have a nice place. I grew up in a small home too. Well, it wasn't small, but a family of ten made it feel small. The music downstairs is quite loud, but it's quiet up here."

"Speaking of the club, I have something to tell you." I patted the seat next to me and she scurried back. "I've decided to take John's advice. I'm turning into a hands-off owner for a while and handing all the responsibilities over to Marcus. If I’m being honest, you're part of the reason why I want to take some time off. You make me want to live my life instead of drowning myself in work."

"That's sweet," She said, knitting her fingers with mine, her attention shifting to the bunny next to our joined hands. "Oh, look! A bunny."

"Yeah, it’s a gift for you. You can have her."

She didn't need me telling her twice. She snatched it in mere seconds as if I'd change my mind. Putting it next to her dog stuffie, she caressed both their heads together.

"I'm gonna name him Bunno." She shifted her gaze between them. "I want them to become friends. I hope they do because it'll make me happy."

I wondered if the stuffed toys represented me and Clark. Clark had gifted Doggo to her after all.

"Sorry, back to what you were saying," she continued. "I think it's a great idea you're taking time off the club. Are you gonna miss working?"

"I'd usually have the itch to go downstairs and just watch over the Little playroom. But the urge isn't as strong anymore. I get to spend time with you and it makes me so much happier. I guess I just longed for a Little of my own but tried to replace that need by watching over other Littles."

She turned her stuffies so they were facing each other in a hug. "I understand what you mean. Michael told me single Daddies like to hang out in there just to fulfill that need. It's nice to know that Daddies are just as human."

"What do you mean?"

"well, Littles think the world of their Daddies because they take care of all their worries. We almost look upon Daddies as our role models, our superheroes even. But Daddies have worries too, and some have issues that have stopped them from getting what they want. I don't know if I'm making any sense."

“I know what you mean. Do you want me to show you around?”

I gave her a quick house tour. She was fascinated by the guest nursery.

"I have Littles over all the time, and some of them are nice enough to leave behind a toy or two. I think it's their way of thanking me, or maybe they just want the Littles who come after them to play with their toys. There were so many of them I had to donate a bunch of them at the club last month. We had something called a Little adoption day, and we donated them to the Littles who participated."

"Little adoption day?" Her eyes widened. "Do Daddies get to adopt whoever they want?"

"No." I chuckled. "Interested Littles register. Then we auction the right to have a playdate in one of the playrooms. Sometimes things hit off and the Littles end up finding their happily ever after. It's my favorite day of the month. Littles who are insecure about their looks and weight are delighted to see Daddies bid on them. They're just as beautiful, but the event helps them grow confident. All of the money we raise goes to the homeless youth."

"Such a noble cause." She put a hand on her chest and smiled. "Let me guess, you came up with the idea."

"I knew it," she said when I nodded. "You've provided a haven for those who needed it the most. I hope you find all the happiness in the world."

You were supposed to find happiness within you, but mine lay with Jenna. I was sure my life would turn around if Jenna became my girl. Sometimes all you needed to be happy was love.

She stared at the bins of toys in the corner of the room.

"You can play with them all you want tomorrow. Do you want to watch some TV before dinner? I've looked up some horror animated shows. I don't think animation can be scary, so you won't have any trouble sleeping after."

I was so wrong. Fifteen minutes into the show, heads were flying and skulls were being scattered. Jenna was enjoying every minute of it as she gaped at the screen in awe.
