Page 10 of Two Daddies for Little Jenna

"Thanks for putting in a good word for us, Michael." Daddy patted Michael's head and his cowlick sprang up for the tenth time that night.

With me on his hip, Daddy walked in and then knocked on Nick's door. Seeing Nick inside, I snuggled into Daddy and hid my face in his shoulder. I hoped closing my eyes would help me forget the vivid sexual image from popping in my head again.

"Aw, no reason to be shy, sweetheart." Daddy stroked my head as he took a seat at Nick's desk, and then turned to Nick. "I'm Clark and my friend, John, must've talked to you about us becoming members. My girl here gets a little jumpy around strangers, but she's doing surprisingly well today. She’s probably nervous because she badly needs a membership. Her friends come here and honestly, it's such a great place to hang out for Littles and Daddies. The playroom is so large and spacious, and the event was just fantastic."

Little did Daddy know we weren't strangers anymore. I had Nick on my mind ever since I saw him, and nothing I did had the ability to get him out of my mind.

Nick put up a hand. "Please, Clark. You don't have to try to impress me. It should be the other way around after the incident. Honestly, I'm very embarrassed. The members usually have to go through lengthy interviews and thorough background checks, but we won't be going through all that for obvious reasons. Honestly, I'm glad you're willing to give us a second chance. Let me assure you, it won't happen again. Not at our club."

"What incident?" Daddy asked, causing me to sit up straight with fear.

The last thing I wanted was Daddy to think I was hiding things from him. He was the forgiving kind, but we had several talks about trusting each other with the truth.

"Oh, your girl didn't tell you?" Nick seemed genuinely surprised. "Well, a member tried to aggressively come onto Jenna. Luckily, I was nearby and managed to get his filthy paws off her. Needless to say, his membership has been revoked and you'll never see him again."

I gaped at Nick, who seemed oblivious to what he had done.

"You should've said something, sweetheart." Daddy said. "I don't want you bottling things up like you're used to. Or were you planning to hide such a big incident from me?"

I shrugged and hid my face in his chest. "It occurred to me, yes. Don't be mad at me, Daddy. I didn't want you to change your mind about getting a membership over one bad incident. Besides, I was likely going to tell you once we got in. The fees are non-refundable after all, so you couldn't have canceled them."

"Please," Nick interrupted. "I'm willing to waive off the first month's fee as an apology for the incident. You have a good girl here and I'd be very pleased to have her as a member."

"Pleased?" I said, sitting up straight as blood rushed to my cheeks.

Did it mean my doubts had been true? That it wasn't a distant possibility that Nick liked me.

Daddy looked at my face and narrowed his eyes with a hint of a smirk, shifting my gaze between me and Nick. It only made me blush harder, and then Daddy's eyes turned into saucers with realization.

"That was the memory you drew on paper," Daddy exclaimed, at if he'd come to a life-changing realization. "The redheaded man wasn't me, but Nick."

He knew! Daddy knew I thought Nick was hot. It must've been easy to conclude since he knew only a shirtless Henry Cavill had the power to make me blush this hard.

Suddenly he was having a hard time holding back a smile. "Oh? Oh… I see. Now we have to get the memberships at all costs. Uh… because it's bringing out the artistic side of my girl. Yes, that and for no other reason."

"Okay." Nick frowned and slightly shook his head in confusion. "I'll get the paperwork started right away then. I'll hand you the forms and you can drop them in the dropbox by the entrance or hand them to me. You'll receive the membership cards and color-coded wristbands in the mail. I hope someone at the reception explained to you about the wristbands. It's to help other members know whether you're single or looking..."

I couldn't concentrate on Nick's words while Daddy's gaze bore into my soul, only made worse by a knowing smirk. I had to get away before my face turned any redder and Nick would realize what was going on. Nick had no idea we had discussed having a second Daddy, and for all I knew, Nick probably didn't even like me that way.

Jumping out of Daddy's lap, I walked over to the notice board and pretended to read a poster. It said they were hiring. There were a bunch of different job descriptions.

How cool would it be if I could work at the club! It would barely feel like work since the club was so much fun. I'd always wanted to work at a job that involved talking to people. On one hand, the thought was scary, but on the other, it'd help get rid of my social anxiety.

Daddy was hellbent on helping me get rid of my social anxiety. Usually, it was through small things like talking to the bank teller or cashier at the supermarket. But this was a big step and I felt ready.

Walking back to Daddy's lap, I climbed it and interrupted their conversation. "The poster says you need someone to manage events for Littles. I'd like to work as an event manager here, Nick. What kind of work does it involve? Managing the event we were just at?"

"An event manager?" Nick rested his head on a fist and thought for a beat before continuing. "No, Martha manages the event you attended today. We have a couple of get-togethers for Littles every week, birthday parties, marriages, that sort of thing. Daddies like to spoil their Littles, so they're usually quite extravagant. The position requires five years of experience managing events, which I assume you don't have, seeing how you’re in your early twenties."

Daddy had a look of pride in his eyes. He was proud of me for trying to get a job all on my own, and that too while in my Little headspace.

"I don't have the experience, but I work hard when I set my mind to it," I said. "I knew nothing about chess, but I learned it in a few weeks and now I can defeat Daddy. Think about it, Nick. Being a Little, I know exactly what a Little would want out of a birthday party."

Nick looked unsure but nodded. "It does sound like a brilliant idea. The lack of experience is still a problem, but I'm gonna give you a chance. We have a Little's birthday party next week and her Daddy is loaded. He pretty much told me the budget isn't an issue. Go all out and I'll take the guest's feedback. If they enjoy themselves, you're hired. How's that sound?"

"Deal!" I fist-pumped the air. "You won't regret it. Promise!"

I wiggled in Daddy's lap, who seemed surprised I had managed to get a job all on my own, and it hadn't even involved an interview. Had Nick been partial in giving me an opportunity? Did he give it to me because he liked me? Or was it just wishful thinking? Either way, I was going to work hard and prove that I could make up for my lack of education by working hard.
