Haunting Movements
Alexander is Twenty Years Old
Alexander was annoyed. I punched a bag, and it fell onto the ground. Angela popped to me. I turned right away greeting my sister. “Hey, Ang.” TJ popped to her a second later. I laughed, “You guys look like you are up to something.” Klaus smirked.
Angela nodded telling me, “We are and we want your help.” I asked, “Me?” TJ laughed. I asked, “Why are you laughing?” He shrugged, “I said the same thing when she told me we were coming to you.” I would argue, but I had to be last on the list of people to help.
Cassie was a shoe in for sure. We were still reeling from the attack on her, organized by Cora after her tournament. My sister got shot and it still pissed me off.
I asked, “So, why me?” Angela huffed, “Because I said so.” I felt her feelings in our bond.
I knelt down assuring her, “Ang, it’s not your fault.
” She stomped her foot, “It’s just blurry and I can’t get it right.
Now, you’re upset, and I decided you’re going to help us today. You have fun on this path. Please.”
I admitted, “You know I can’t say no to you.” She beamed and happiness flooded our bond. She acknowledged, “I do know that.” TJ concurred, “We are all such saps for the women in our lives.” I sighed, “Why must you say shit like that around me?” TJ just laughed.
I was going to ignore the fact that my little sister was growing up as long as humanly possible.
Angela was always going to be my baby sister, and that meant I would look at her as such.
So, if she could’ve just helped me out by aging at a human rate I’d have been happy.
It was completely irrational, but it’s how I felt.
I changed the subject, “What are we doing?” Angela giggled, “We are going to get Dad and EJ.” I smirked admitting, “I love it already. How? And what do I do?” She answered, “Well, it’s really easy. I need you to get them to the war room.”
I asked, “Aren’t they there?” She grinned replying, “Dad isn’t.” I chuckled, “Alright, I’m on it.” She kissed my cheek, “Thanks!” I jogged inside and went to my dad’s office. I knocked on the door before I entered. Both he and Caleb looked up.
I asked, “Hey dad, can you come to the war room?” He answered, “Of course.” He followed me there where EJ looked up.
EJ commented, “I can’t believe you’re out of the gym.” I shrugged muttering, “I leave the gym.” Oden snorted, “I could still be in the gym.” I reasoned, “It’s for Angela.” He grunted. EJ chuckled, “Not on gym days you don’t.” My dad asked, “Why are we here?”
I sat down and they followed suit. Before I could say anything, we were hit with water balloons.
Water balloon launching guns appeared in front of us.
EJ popped up yelling, “WHAT THE HELL?” My dad laughed and grabbed his gun.
He said, “You can’t get them to stop. Just join the fun, son.
” I grabbed my gun and popped us outside.
All my siblings and my mom were in an all out war. I laughed and quickly joined in. My dad linked, “You were supposed to get us together, weren’t you?” I admitted, “Yup, apparently I need to have fun.” He laughed and we launched ourselves into the war that mom, Cassie, TJ, and Angela were winning.
Cayden portaled in running through. He asked me, “What the hell is going on? Cass pulled me so hard I…” Cassie nailed him with a balloon and yelled, “SUCKER!” I tossed him my gun and conjured a new one.
He loaded his and yelled, “You’re in for it now!” Cassie giggled, “Promises, promises.” We all yelled, “NO!” Cayden simply smirked and faded back. Cassie yelled, “CHEATER!” I retorted, “You’ve been popping! It’s not cheating when you use what you’ve got.” That sparked a debate of what was cheating.
I linked Angela, “You were right, this is fun.” She giggled, “I know. You guys are always so serious. It’s why I’m around.” I replied, “You are around because mom and dad can’t stop having sex and you were everything all the realms needed.” I saw her blush from here.
Our parents having sex and even the topic of it wasn’t weird to us. I didn’t want to hear about my sisters having sex, but that was mostly because I wanted to keep them in a box where they were little and needed my protection.
I watched all my siblings firing and taking aim. I chuckled and shot Tim and Brady. Both gasped in surprise. I laughed and ran off with both of them hot on my tail. I popped out of the way of a shot from Bryce. He growled and I threw my head back laughing.
Phil linked, “The Warriors don’t know if they should hide or join.” I replied, “Everyone should join, this is fun.” Phil scoffed, “See here’s the thing, I already knew that. I am already out here in the trenches with Gage.” I was about to ask where, when I got hit on the shoulder.
I rolled my eyes knowing exactly who hit me. My cousin who happened to be my Beta. Gage linked, “I didn’t do it.” I replied, “I knew that.” Oden growled, “Now it’s on.” Angela was even getting him out of his sullen mood. That was good.
Phil howled in laughter, and I just raised my eyebrow. He called, “All in family and Beta love and fun!” I replied, “I’ll give you some family love.” I was going to nail him in the face for that. I winked at Angela, who grinned back at me as I took off after Phil.
She easily caught him, and rapid fire shot him water balloons. Gage came up next to me. He said, “There is strength in numbers.” I laughed, “Let’s go then.” I portaled behind Phil while Angela grinned. Phil tussled her hair before saying, “I could never get mad at you.” Oden snorted.
He turned and groaned, “Et tu, Gage.” I glanced at my Gamma, smirked, then fired in succession with him. Phil shouted, “You try to help a guy!” We laughed and he took off running with us following him. Cassie joined us which led to Cayden coming over.
Phil shouted, “THIS IS HIGHLY UNFAIR!” I replied, “You started it, therefore it’s fair.
” Phil shouted, “Someone be on team Phil!” Dylan shouted, “I AM HERE FOR YOU MY BETA brOTHER!” He launched a balloon at Gage who snorted and took off after him.
Dylan yelled, “The things I do for the younger Beta generation.” He ran and ducked behind Buttercup.
Gage snorted, “Hell to the fuck no. I’m not getting into this with Wesley. That’s insane.” Dylan retorted, “You are no fun. Who could’ve predicted such a reaction?” Buttercup laughed and Wesley popped beside her.
Cassie bumped me asking, “How are you doing?” I replied, “I think that’s my line.” She was freshly engaged and had been betrayed by our people. She shrugged, “I’m really happy.” I gave her a look and popped her to one of our shared treehouses with EJ.
Cayden linked, “What the hell?” I replied, “I’m sure you will find us.
” I asked, “Cass?” She groaned, “Bonds and all.” I nodded, “Yes, bonds and all. I feel that pain inside you.” She whispered, “One of our people betrayed me. Plus, I also know you feel some type of something about that day too.” I admitted, “I do. I felt weird there.” Oden howled in my head.
It felt like a piece of my soul was in that field briefly before the feeling went away.
Oden had been sad ever since. I told him, “Melanie wasn’t there.
” It didn’t make sense for her to have been.
I asked, “So, what was the word on Cayden’s source?
” I knew one of his had gotten him word about the attack.
She told me, “I can’t really talk about that.” I replied, “Ok. You can tell me it hurts that Cora betrayed you.” She snorted, “It’s not that it’s even surprising.” I disagreed, “Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. Besides, the level of which she betrayed you and our people is surprising.”
Cayden agreed, “Yes, it was.” EJ and Elise were with him. Cassie snorted, “Yeah, well I should’ve seen it coming.” I argued, “There is literally no way you could’ve.” She retorted, “I should’ve asked Angela to look into it with her sight. She could’ve seen it sooner and then she wouldn’t feel bad.”
I replied, “We don’t ask Angela to look into every little thing. We would never take advantage of her sight like that. Plus, if we asked about every jealous and catty bitch or dick she’d do nothing else.” Cassie asked, “And how many do you have?” Cayden snorted.
I said, “I don’t have someone they are jealous of so less than those of my siblings with mates, or partners.” Cassie said, “I hear there’s another crazy chick running around about you.” I asked, “Huh?” She laughed.
EJ said, “Brother, Lomax and Cheyenne came for a visit.” I grinned, “Really?” Oden huffed, “I guess that’s something.” Cassie warned, “Watch it, brother.” I asked, “Why?” She rolled her eyes but didn’t continue that statement.
I told Cayden, “I’ll see you tomorrow at formation.” I had my squadron practicing. He nodded to me and his eyes said he wanted to say something, but he didn’t.
I popped to Lomax. He greeted, “Hey, Alexander.” I gave him a hug and turned to Cheyenne. I inclined my head, “Hey, Chey.” She squealed, “Alexander!” She jumped into my arms, and I gave her a hug.
I asked, “What brings you by?” Cheyenne answered, “It’s been too long, and I wanted to see you.” I nodded, “Alright. What are we doing?” She replied, “I’m famished.” Oden grumbled, “I thought we were getting back into the gym.” I reasoned, “We will later.”
I told them, “Let’s head up front. We will go to my mom’s pizza place. I’ll drive.” We walked around to the front of the house. I spotted Chason and Fowler, two men in my pack. I nodded to them. Both blew out a breath but waved to me.
I linked, “Are you guys good?” Chason replied, “Of course, Alpha.” Fowler asked, “How long are your friends in town?” I admitted, “I don’t know. They just dropped by.” He replied, “Yay.” I snorted, “I sense sarcasm.” He hummed. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what that was about.
