One day it would stop surprising my Uncle Aiden had people everywhere all the time. I shot the Fairy and annoyed looked, but he simply smiled back at me then flashed his Royal Guard seal. Fuck. He wasn’t going to leave.
Oden asked, “Who cares? GET THIS WHELP!” I asked, “What’s his wolf saying?” He answered, “He’s groggy. Like they are drunk.” I didn’t smell any alcohol on him. Maybe they’d taken drugs. I used my pushing power on him.
He must have been thinking about Melanie because I heard them talking. I also didn’t need anyone to tell me it was her voice; I knew it was. “GET RID OF THAT WOLF! YOU’RE NINE YEARS OLD YOU PATHETIC WIMP!”
Her voice sounded beautiful as she replied, “I’m a wimp who can kick your butt! It’s my stuffed wolf! Peter said I could keep it so you can’t take him!” Robert snorted, “You’re mine to toy with, mine to bully, mine to lie about.”
Melanie snorted, “I’m so beyond not yours… it’s just… no. I am someone else’s. You like Elise anyway… which like everyone knows. literally everyone. Why don’t you just say that out loud so EJ can just kill you, and you’ll leave me alone!”
Robert snarled, “Elise is different from you. I love her. You’re just my possession.
” I let him go because my own possessiveness fired.
Oden snarled, “MATE IS NOT HIS! ELISE IS OUR SISTER IN LAW! HE CAN’T TAKE ELISE!
brUTUS WOULD KILL HIM! HE’D RIP HIM TO PIECES!
HE CANNOT HURT MY brOTHER!” I assured him, “He won’t take either of them. ”
I snarled, “MELANIE IS NOT YOURS! DO YOU HEAR ME?!” Robert’s eyes widened. I continued, “Leave her alone!” Robert smirked, “You’ll never know if I do or not. You’ve never even met her. Which means she wouldn’t tell you. I don’t know how EJ knew, but I’ll make sure she’s quiet about it again.”
My dad linked, “Alexander Marcus Nathan Conners, you answer me right now about why you are so upset.” I replied, “Robert thinks Elise is his and she’s not!
” It wasn’t a lie; it just wasn’t all of the truth which my dad called me on.
He sighed, “I’m begging you to tell me all of it. I know there’s more.” I couldn’t.
My mom linked, “I don’t know what the FUCK is going on at this school dance, but I know you.
I don’t give a mother fucking shit if you kill someone.
You make your point no matter what that means.
I will back you up and have your six. Do you hear me?
” I replied, “I hear you.” She replied, “Good. Tell your dad what’s going on.
If you need me, I’ll be there.” I grunted, “I knew you would be.”
I pushed at Robert again. This time I heard Melanie scream and hit the ground then I heard ripping. She screamed bloody murder, and I heard punches. She shouted, “NO! HE IS MY WOLF!” Then I heard feet pounding on the ground. She must have run away.
Robert yelled, “You’d better run! That wolf is going to be shredded next time. Don’t you dare tell a soul about this!” I could hear her crying but heard her snarl fairly impressively. I was too angry to hold onto the memory, so I let him go.
I snarled, “DID YOU TOUCH HER?! What was that?!” Robert explained, “I didn’t really touch her the way you mean!
I’m not a pervert. I just ripped her shirt off while my friends held her down.
It pissed me off and matched that stupid colored stuffed wolf.
It was prominently featured on the shirt and I’d already ripped the first one off her.
She didn’t learn her lesson! What was I supposed to do? ”
I ordered, “LEAVE HER THE FUCK ALONE! YOU REALIZE THAT WOLF LOOKS LIKE MY WOLF!” He blinked several times as if that had not occurred to him. Or that Oden would have the opposite reaction to his wolf being featured and ripped to shreds. Oden snarled, “OFF OUR MATE’S BODY TWICE! HE HURT HER!”
Oden took over and punched him. He snarled, “LEAVE HER ALONE!” Robert was still holding on to consciousness and looked like he was hiding something.
So, I pushed at him again. I heard him and his friends planning, “She’ll be dancing in an hour, and T has a big project he’s working on.
He won’t be with her. We can split up, destroy the wolf, and watch her cry. ”
Oden slammed me forward and we lost the rest of the hold we had pushing at Robert.
He was shaking now and a little blood trickled out of his nose that he quickly wiped away.
I snarled, “Robert, let me make something clear. if you EVER make Melanie McAlister cry or destroy that wolf, I’ll take you to the Hackura realm where no one will ever bring you back. ”
I practically vowed, “I’ll torture you for a decade before I kill you, and I WILL kill you if you touch her again. Are we clear?” He stared at me like I was the crazy one here. Oden scoffed, “He’s a perverted deviant and we should RIP HIS THROAT OUT!” My mom did say I could.
Uncle Bjourn’s feelings told me was leaning towards I should do what I wanted and Hastein’s feelings told me he practically on my six. I replied, “EJ said not to kill him.” Oden grumbled, “I could explain this to Brutus, and he’d change the order.”
He might but he was saying it because Peter was his father in law, and this was Peter’s pack member. I didn’t need them to be upset with us. More specifically, me. I needed the McAlister’s to let Melanie near me to end this ‘what if’ game.
Oden grumbled, “It’s not a what if game.
Melanie IS ours. Her scent tells us that.
” I reasoned, “It won’t be certain until we see her.
” He huffed, “You’re going to be a stickler about this.
I do know why, but I know you. I’ve been a part of you since you were born.
You do not have a bad bone in you. We are not a possessive asshole. ”
I grabbed Robert by his shirt and snarled in his face.
I warned “If you see her walking towards you then you walk away. If someone mentions her name you shut up and leave the general area saying NOTHING about her. Or you will be the target I use to practice the torture techniques my Uncle Bjourn has. I haven't even seen them all, but I bet in a decade I’d learn.” Robert paled but said nothing.
I stared at him for several minutes. Eventually I asked, “What will it be? I’ll open a portal right now.
EJ only said I can’t kill you. I doubt he’d feel the same way in a decade, and if he did I could just have my cousin H torture you until you died.
I really don’t care which option you choose.
In fact, I prefer the one where you DARE to say you won’t follow this order. ”
Robert frowned saying, “So you’re possessive of her too.” It cut at me that I was lumped in with them. My mom shouted, “WHO HURT YOUR FEELINGS?! THEY ARE FUCKING DEAD!” I loved that she felt that way.
My dad growled, “Who hurt you?” I said, “Sticks and stones, dad.” He scoffed, “I note you did not reply that to your mom.” No, but maybe I should. The rant about earthly sayings would be hilarious.
I told Robert, “Don’t compare me to yourself. I’m nothing like you. I don’t want someone who is already mated TO MY brOTHER!” I’d just ignored how we were alike in being possessive of Melanie, but I was protecting her. He was going out of his way to hurt her. There was a clear difference.
Oden snarled in our link, “She’s ours and he can’t have her. We are possessive, but she’s OURS. So, you are right, there IS a difference. It’s just more than what you are thinking. We ARE protecting her, but she’s also ours.” We’d find out the second we met her.
I told Robert, “Don’t look at Elise either. She’s my brother’s. He may have the strength to hear sides and shit, but I do not. I’m going to be his Enforcer, and you know it. I do things he cannot do. I jump to action before the rest because I know a threat when I see one.” He paled again.
I vowed, “If you touch Elise or Melanie ever again, you will understand the wrath of the Hackura. Are we clear?” Robert nodded saying, “Yes, I think we are.” Damn.
I was kind of hoping he’d say no. Oden said, “I wish he had a wolf. I didn’t like his tone when he said, ‘I think we do.’ He seems too pensive about something.
” He did but Phil wasn’t here to walk me through it.
I wanted to kill Robert more than I’d ever wanted to kill anyone.
My dad linked me, “Are you just going to mostly ignore me all night?” I replied, “I’m just dealing with trash.
” My dad told me, “Your mom is worried.” I answered, “I can feel her, and I’ve been linking her.
Tell her not to be worried. EJ told me not to kill Robert, so I didn’t. ”
My dad snorted, “I don’t care about that nor does your mom.
Kill him or don’t, it doesn’t matter. I know you won’t because EJ said not to, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel you think you should.
You are so angry right now. I know you said this is partially about Elise, but will you please tell me all of it? ”
He’s right, I was very angry, and it was about how they treated Melanie. Melanie. Plus, Robert wanted Melanie, and he couldn’t have her. She was mine. Oden sighed, “FINALLY! Go get our mate!” She wasn’t in their pack, and I couldn’t pop to her.
Oden reasoned, “She might be back from her competition.” I argued, “The universe hates me at this point, so she definitely won’t be back.” Oden grumbled, “Point take BUT her hoodie is in our room.” That was true.
EJ popped next to me. I guess it was time for people to hear us again.
I knew one thing. I’d have an ear out, and if Robert went near Melanie again, he’d simply disappear from this realm.
Forever. Hastein would help me and back up along with my mom.
I’d take the three of us versus anyone else any day of the week.
