Story: The Alpha Enforcer and His Dancing Warrior Vol. 1 (Ribbon #9)
I waited while they gathered up their bodies.
Uncle Duncan was carried away screaming.
My tears knew no end. My heart was breaking seeing him so sad.
When they finally left, I got down ready to hunt those rogues down.
They’d killed my aunt and I was going to kill them.
I would do that for Uncle Duncan then leave them on the border so he’d know they were gone. I could avenge her for him.
Flashback Ends
Alpha Edward yanked me back to the present, “You applied to Julliard again. That’s why you are in trouble.” I snorted, “That’s news to me. Why would I do that? If I did… why the actual hell would I give my address as her house? I’m smarter than that and you know it.”
“In fact, when I applied the first time… I didn’t send the acceptance letter to her house. I still don’t know how she found out. It still confuses me… and it hurts my brain… but that’s not the point right now. I have things to do.”
My mind drifted back to Uncle Duncan. I’d left the rogues on their border and knew his pack had found them.
I left the one that killed my aunt alive for him with a note stapled to his body he’d been the one to kill her.
I’d typed it so he didn’t know I’d helped him.
I knew Uncle Duncan took care of that rogue personally because I made sure he would.
Aunt Stephanie lunged at me, and I punched her, knocking her out.
I sighed, “Lord almighty she’s annoying.
Seriously... when will she learn? I can and will obviously kick her pathetic self’s behind.
Seriously Ajax… teach your wife some basic fighting moves.
It’s beyond pathetic. Or tell her to keep herself in check.
My patience with her shit is wearing thin. ” My Warriors chuckled.
I turned back around, “McCoy… are you accepting my challenge or declining?” McCoy growled, “Accepting, little girl.” I shrugged, “Big mistake... someone get the worthless pack doctor ready.” Blair’s brother was suspiciously quiet.
I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye. He’d met his fated mate, but she was in this pack. She was training with me privately. I didn’t think Blair’s brother knew… now… I wondered if he told her to train with me. The look in his eye told me he might just have done so.
McCoy snarled, “You ruined everything coming here.” I rolled my eyes replying, “First, I didn’t want to be here…
I’ve offered to leave multiple times…but for some reason I feel we ALL find strange the pack leadership is ADAMANTLY opposed to that.
Second, I ruined nothing. Your crappy leadership ruined everything here. I’m trying to fix it.”
“I just need to know, as a father… how do you justify trying to sell your daughter to the highest bidder instead of letting her be with her fated mate? Did you forget how strong the pull is? You’re standing next to your fated mate.
You hypocritical piece of cow du... no, actually that’s mean to cows. Cow dung is better than you.”
McCoy snarled and lunged at me. I could make the fight end quickly.
One punch would end it all… but that would be too easy for him.
I flipped him onto his back then checked my nails.
I knew from my research Princess Luna Haley and Queen Astrid Cambridge did that…
the results were that in a fight it upset their opponent and made them sloppy. Every. Single. Time.
McCoy tried to shift, but his wolf didn’t come forward. I laughed, “At least your wolf remembers he’s supposed to protect his pup. You’ve become so ingrained, indoctrinated, and brain washed with this backwards, no class leadership that you forgot. At least your wolf didn’t.”
McCoy growled, “Blair, don’t do this. It will hold your mother back here.
If you went with who the Alpha chooses for you then we’d be set.
” I scoffed, “Held back? What kind of warped sense of life do you have? Her mother can’t do anything here anyway.
You want her mother to continue living her life of existing? ”
I scoffed, “What a prize. Blair, gosh... I just don’t know how you choose. I mean your fated mate in a good pack that knows how to be one… or the family who treated you like dirt because you have a female parts... GOSH... Hard choice. Hard choice.”
Someone snorted, “Even when she’s being sarcastic, she’s a bad liar.” I wasn’t lying! Technically… I was being sarcastic. That shouldn’t count! McCoy turned and came at me again. I round house kicked him in the face and jumped on him when he went down and cut off his air supply.
I warned, “Unless your pride is worth dying for… I’d tap out.
Personally, I would want to go if I was you…
really, you’re trying to sell your daughter like some prized horse.
.. and that’s just insane. That’s me though and I have integrity.
Something the VAST majority of this pack has forgotten about. ”
McCoy glared at me then his eyes flicked black. I eased off his windpipe. The wolves were usually nice to me. His wolf said, “You’re right. I submit to you.” I smiled saying, “That’s always nice to hear.” His eyes changed and the fight died out of McCoy’s eyes. He tapped his arm out to the side.
I turned and got off him. I ordered my Warriors, “Get Blair home and get her things. Addison choose five Warriors to go with you to drop her off.” Edward looked pissed. I stuck my tongue out at him for good measure.
Luna Elena and Beta Female Eden laughed and clapped. That had both their mates looked torn. I didn’t get them, because Edward and Jean clearly missed their mates. All of us knew they wouldn’t change for them though.
Their logic of keeping their family and mates safe by treating them horribly didn’t make sense either. The most powerful pack in the world didn’t do that and… they were the most POWERFUL pack IN THE WORLD. I swear logic hurt their brains though.
Trevor glared at me, so I flipped him off.
Booker growled, “You dare disrespect your mate.” I snorted, “I would never disrespect my mate… we all know Trevor’s not my mate.
” Trevor growled, “You’re mine.” I laughed, “Not a chance. I’ve already told you.
I feel nothing for you. When you touch me all I feel is revulsion. Not tingles.”
Trevor yelled, “I TOLD YOU THAT…” I cut him off, “Yes, we all know your excuse is my lack of a wolf. My real mate would never throw that in my face like you do, and everyone here with a fated mate knows that.”
I tossed a glare at the Alpha blood that was a traitor to his purpose. I threw out, “If Edward had a spine... you’d be punished for claiming to be my mate… when we ALL know you’re lying. Literally all of us. Even your own siblings and your mother.” Trevor growled and came at me.
I smirked because he was so easy to goad into a fight. I put him on his back in a second. I told him, “I’d never be able to put my mate down so easily. I’m holding out for someone who can take me. Or at least make it a fight. We ALL know that’s not you.”
Blair ran over to me and hugged me. She whispered, “Thank you.” I told her, “You’re welcome. Get out of here, and don’t look back. Go be happy.” Blair pulled back crying, but she walked away. Edward cleared his throat, “You know you have to be punished, Melanie.”
I grumbled, “I know this backwards messed up pack believes that people deserved to be punished for stupid crap. I also know that you know that I know… you couldn’t punish me if I didn’t let you.” I stormed off walking to the punishment field.
They were truly and utterly pieces of crap.
I was punished for doing what should be Edward and Jean’s job.
Heck, even Booker’s. They were traitors to their own blood.
I allowed it because it was my penance. Tristan died protecting me.
My mom never saw it coming. My dad… we fought together at the end and he died for me too.
I’d give it all back... I’d give my life if it meant it was me who died and not them. The Moon Goddess turned her back on me. Honestly, she could go fly a kite too. I wanted nothing to do with her ridiculous, not caring about her children, self.
She should be fixing packs like this. These girls and boys should not be subjected to thinking this was normal. The only way the allies didn’t know about how they treated people was goddess intervention, which put Selene firmly in the ‘enemy’ column for me.
I took off my shirt just as Luna Elena ran up.
She grabbed Edward’s arm when he grabbed the whip.
She looked into his eyes begging, “Be the man I loved and had pups with for five seconds again. Melanie did nothing wrong. She did YOUR job. STOP hurting her! My wolf is VERY protective of her and so am I. She’s one of our daughter’s best friends. ”
Edward snorted, “She turned my daughter against me.” Luna Elena laughed, “Do you actually believe that?” He nodded.
Luna Elena sadly told him, “You have no one but yourself to blame for losing your pups and me. Melanie had nothing to do with it. You’ve never even shown your daughter one ounce of love since she was two years old.
Do you know how many nights Addison cried about making you proud enough you’d love her before Melanie got here?
It was a lot, Edward. You disgust me.” She walked away while he flinched.
Jean looked at his mate, Beta Female Eden who’d followed as well.
She glared at him, “Don’t you look at me like that.
You punish this innocent girl for doing things you should do.
This place went to hell the SECOND Alpha Ezra came and got his hooks into Booker.
You fool’s bow down to his will just like your fathers before him to their horrid masters.
Know this Jean, if you EVER give my baby away she’s not the only one who will leave. ”
