Story: The Alpha Enforcer and His Dancing Warrior Vol. 1 (Ribbon #9)
I threw an arm around him, “Let’s go then, Mr. In the Know.” He snorted but followed me. I found Angela. Gage laughed, “I’m having SUCH a good day!” She grinned at me, and I ruffled her hair. I said, “If you and TJ want to go to Faerie and help Fig and company out, I’m sure they enjoy your input.”
TJ popped in asking, “Dear god, why Angela?” Gage snorted, “She totally squealed at him to come over link.” TJ agreed, “She did. I was even coming because she told me to be here in five minutes.” Angela replied, “Alexander was early. We are going to work on pranking charms with Cousin Fig!” He snorted, “Then someone is truly and utterly fucked.” They kind of were.
I reasoned, “They deserve it.” Gage said, “Agreed and I have NO clue what we are talking about.” Angela winked, “The Supernatural Council.” Gage snorted, “I see.” TJ asked, “Do you still agree?” He replied, “Probably.” They left.
I linked Parker, Cole, Calvin, Tim and Brady, “Go to Faerie and watch over Angela and TJ. Should you want to get involved in what they are helping with, do so.” They all cheered.
Grant, Bryce and Bradley popped to me arms crossed.
I winked, “Don’t be mad I didn’t link you yet.
You guys get to the go the Hackura realm.
” They looked at each other and I felt their excitement in the bond.
Gage snorted, “You’re going back there too.
You have squadron practice.” I agreed, “I am, but I want them to see if they hear anyone talking about Ashley.” Bryce snickered, “We get to spy on Cayden.” It wasn’t a bad idea.
I admitted, “I don’t care how you do it, just see if you hear anything. ” They all nodded.
Gage shook his head then grabbed me when I popped.
He called, “I’ll see you later. Let’s go crazy triplets.
” He must know where Cayden was. I shouted, “In formation!” My group quickly lined up.
I took them out to the obstacle course, and we ran though it multiple times then we went through the mountain path.
I conjured bikes at the top and we rode down. I let loose a cry of excitement. “Decima turmae heus heus (Tenth squadron hey hey hey).” My Squad repeated it back. I added, “Nos laborare sed hodie ludere (We work hard but today we play).” They shouted it back to me then cheered.
We got down the mountain and biked through town. I yelled, “Hey, Tah!” They shouted, “TAH, TAH!” I smirked and several people gasped as we flew by. A few fanned themselves. My squad was rather attractive. Oden scoffed, “It’s us.” I didn’t really care. Which might be mean, but they weren’t Melanie.
Oden purred, “Mate finds our videos attractive.” Yeah, her views had increased since I started putting out content geared to her. Nadia really took it and ran with the direction. She had me doing more challenge. Which Phil grumbled over the fact that I did them without complaint.
Calvin linked, “Ashley and Micah code together a lot. They have an open chat where they put ideas in. Everyone in the technology building thinks she has a lot more ideas and they are jealous Micah is cultivating her as a source.”
I replied, “Good work.” He snorted, “We aren’t done.
Bryce has more.” Bryce chimed in, “Some think that he’s hoping she’ll agree to come to the technical college here.
” It was a good thing I was coasting, or I might have crashed the bike.
I replied, “We don’t offer spots in the college to outsiders. ”
Bryce agreed, “I know that, but they think she’s talented enough. Micah’s colleagues believe he is building up to that request. They don’t understand why she’d turn them down, but they clearly think she would.” Bradley chimed in, “Yeah, and they think she sounds hot.” I growled, “WHAT?!”
Bradley snorted, “Yeah, they have a bet on who could talk code well enough to get her pants off.” I was going to kick their ass. Oden snarled, “LET’S EXPLODE HEADS!” Well, that was an extreme reaction.
I told Bradley, “Go Fairy hijinks on their ass.” He asked, “Really?” I answered, “Really, really.” He cheered over link.
Bryce linked me, “Bradley said…” I cut him off, “You go full hijinks on their ass. I’ll deal with Uncle Gunner if he says anything.
” Which he probably wouldn’t. Uncle Harper might though.
Bryce cheered, “You’re awesome!” I laughed, “Love you little brother.”
I pedaled harder and went through the bike course here that led to Hastein and Mom’s Dragon themed park. I parked my bike and took my Squad, in nodding to the guy out front. I said, “I’m bringing my Squad in today.” He gave us passes.
I turned, “Everything is free for you today. Enjoy.” They all shouted and cheered and took off for the rides. Hastein faded in and came up to me. He commented, “I hear the Technology division is having a prank filled day.”
I snorted, “Yes, well they shouldn’t talk about trying to get into a wolf less girl’s pants and take bets on it. That’s rude.” He hummed. I asked, “What? It is.” He said, “It’s not great but that seems like an interesting reaction.” Whatever.
He tapped me, “Come on, let’s go ride the roller coaster together.
” My Squad was headed there anyway. I snorted, “You just want to because it’s a purple dragon.
” He winked at me. He’d always liked purple Dragons.
It’s why he and my mom opened this place together.
She was sad she never met a Dragon before their realm closed themselves off.
I held onto the dream that one day we might see them again, slight as it was. They could open themselves back up. Uncle Aiden staunchly believed they didn’t die off and I held out hope that he was right because it would be awesome.
I asked, “When you meet your mate will this amusement park be your first stop with her?” He snorted, “Cousin, my first stop will be a bed.” I threw my head back and laughed.
He added, “When we have spare time, I’ll bring her here.
Lord knows when that will be though. Our lives are quite hectic.
” I nudged him, “Make the time if she has it. Ok?” He nodded, “You know it.”
We got on the front and the roller coaster took off. People were screaming but Hastein and I were holding our arms out. The roller coaster made you feel like you were flying on a Dragon’s back. Well, as best we could guess.
Hastein took me to get a drink when we were done. It came in mugs with different colored Dragons with the handle as their tails. I asked, “Do they just know you get the purple one?” Mine was green and gold. He winked at me. I asked, “How are you?” He answered, “Busy as always.”
I pressed, “Cousin.” He sighed, “Lonely. I am lonely. Some days not having my mate is harder than others.” I agreed, “I know what you mean.” He winced, “I wish you did not.” I laughed, “I think everyone of age yet to find their mate feels that way.”
He changed the subject, “Would you like to come test out a new ride your mom and I have been working on?” I answered, “Of course I would.” He laughed and slammed his drink, so I did too. Oden snorted, “Those things are strong.” They were but I didn’t mind. I couldn’t get drunk. None of us could.
We jogged across the park to a new building and walked inside.
It looked like a cave. We made it to the VR stations where there were different colored dragon statues with riding saddles.
Hastein got on the purple one, because of course he did.
I chose the black and white one. Oden concurred, “Good choice.” I snorted.
I grabbed the VR helmet that mirrored a motorcycle helmet and put it on.
I felt the Dragon move beneath me and nearly faltered.
Oden snorted, “I would never let you fall.” I knew that.
I blinked and realized I was in a whole new realm.
I looked down and realized I was on the Dragon I’d picked. It screeched excitedly.
A woman appeared in front of me, “A fight is awaiting you, mighty rider. You must go and help those already fighting.” I chuckled, “Will do.” My Dragon took off and we spotted a charred village. We flew down and helped the villagers put out a fire.
I asked, “What happened here?” One answered, “These Dragons came through with riders! They were evil, but she chased them off.” I asked, “Who?” Their heads tilted and I spotted a man in all white. I asked, “Who are you?” He jolted and disappeared into a stream of light. What the fuck?
Someone grabbed my hand. The woman insisted, “You must go and fight with her. She is alone and she needs your help. She is a brave rider, but you are meant to be with her.” I agreed, “Ok.” I got back on my dragon and flew. I heard a Dragon screech in pain.
I heard someone shout, “NO!” Everything in my body stiffened. I screamed, “MELANIE!” My Dragon flew with urgency towards the sound of her voice. Oden said, “I don’t like this game! I don’t like hearing mate this upset.” Neither did I. We found my mate and I nearly faltered.
Dad linked, “Alexander?” I answered, “I’m testing a Dragon ride at H’s and mom’s park.” I’d get into the charm my mom used to make my mate appear later. Melanie’s black hair was in a ponytail. Her Dragon was all white, and her outfit would be something I fantasized about for decades to come.
She had a leather crop top bra with bikini bottoms and a big belt buckle that was a skirt. She had on thigh high brown leather boots and two arm cuffs on her arm. She was fighting with a sword as her Dragon fought with her.
I shouted, “I am coming Lovebug!” I flew all around setting the enemy on fire.
I jumped off the saddle and landed behind her to have her six.
She said, “I have been waiting a long time for you.” I snorted, “I have been waiting longer for you to come home.” Oden reasoned, “This is a video game character.” I retorted, “Obviously one charmed to be someone I wanted here.”
