She pointed at herself, “My fears are MINE. Not hers or any of my other kids. Aiden is not the same person he was back then. He is King and he ADORES Angela. He would not let that happen to her. Trixie raised her fucking children like a bad ass. They are respectful and kind. They do not harm innocent people. She has taught them to love their mates.” That was true.

Uncle Aiden would never let anyone hurt my sister.

Mom practically snarled “And FUCK each and every single goddamn one of you for making me say this next sentence.” Oden complimented our mom, “She is very good at growling. Much better than Cassandra was before she died.” Huh?

Kena would’ve been growling. Thinking back, she did do a human growl more often than the wolf one.

Interesting. I shoved those thoughts away.

The emotions my mom was rolling through in the bond intrigued me. Sometimes, at rare moments like this, I was treated to our bond like my others. She didn’t want to compliment Farrin, but she was about to. She was pissed she had to state it and was planning to get everyone back via prank for this.

Mom announced, “Farrin has shown his kids how to be a real mate. He leads by example with Trixie. He loves and respects her. He has not been with another person since they met because it’s what Trixie wanted. That’s respect.”

“That’s not what he was taught to do either. He does it FOR HER! He’s a good man and dad. Will you all calm down so I can stop listing off nice fucking things about Farrin?! FARRIN FOR CHRIST’S SAKE! You know I hate it when you do this shit.”

Farrin laughed, “I knew you liked me, Princess.” My mom glared at him.

She turned to the room, “Do you see what you have done? Now, he’s going to talk about that forfuckingever.

” Trixie giggled. Dad hugged her admitting, “I have no problem with the Trixie part of this situation. It’s him.

” His finger pointed directly at Farrin.

I linked EJ, “Did you know that Farrin tried to take mom at their wedding to have sex with her?” He answered, “I don’t think I did know that.

” He felt a type of way about that because the excuse was ‘he couldn’t help it’ and those that had attacked Elise last year from our pack used the same excuse about her heat. It was bullshit.

I didn’t want to make Angela, or any of my siblings, feel bad. Especially about their mate. I linked my little sister, “I didn’t get to say congratulations, little one.” Angela replied, “I knew you’d come around first.”

I snorted, “He’d better treat you like the queen you are.” Angela snarked, “As if I would accept anything less. We are very happy. Just like you are happy with your blur eventually. I’m still working on figuring that out.” I assured her, “I have faith in you.”

My dad was calming down, but he was still upset.

Cassie’s bond with me told me she was about to deliver an emotional blow.

She declared, “I think we learned it’s better for us all to know when mates meet.

They didn’t try to sneak around. Angela could’ve popped to him without us knowing.

She could’ve been going between realms with only TJ being aware of their relationship.

Instead, she included us all. Let’s remember that. ”

Guilt lanced through me again. That was my fault.

I’d been teasing Cayden about ditching EJ and me to babysit and Cassie heard it all wrong.

Cassie linked me, “For the millionth time, it wasn’t your fault.

You didn’t know and you were just joking around.

If I’d listened to your tone, felt our bond, or called Cayden, none of the events that would’ve happened. It was on me and no one else.”

It did though happen though all because of a stupid joke, Cassie was hurt. Angela popped to her because of her vision. I went down from Cassie’s pain. It was a whole mess that it didn’t need to be. Dad hugged Cassie.

She whispered, “I love you, daddy.” He replied, “I love you too, Princess.” She popped to Grandpa and kissed his cheek then smoothed her skirt out.

She teased, “Now, I’ll leave mom to straighten you all out.

I’m going to meet this mate of my little sister’s.

” Cassie was going to leave then mischief overtook the bond.

She felt she couldn’t leave us on such a downer.

She casually added, “I think you guys are worried about the wrong thing here. Angela is mischievous on her own. I’ve heard the same of Klaus. Just THINK of the trouble those two will get into.” No, I didn’t want to do that. Not even one little bit. Oden groaned in my head.

EJ linked me, “Fuck us all with that parting line.” I admitted, “I already hate it.” Cassie winked at me and popped out.

We were in trouble. I already didn’t like this.

They were going to prank the hell out of all of us.

It was somehow already annoying. I needed Melanie.

Or I needed to smell her sweet strawberry scent.

Blue Moon arrived when I was rubbing my temples.

Dylan got up to his usual antics. Preston snorted, “Dad might actually kill Dylan this time.” I snorted, “Nope. That would upset Wesley because Buttercup would be distraught. Plus, you feel dad’s feelings.

He does see Dylan as family.” Preston wiggled his eyebrows at me.

My dad had Dylan running out of the room in under five minutes.

I was pretty certain that was a record. Logically, Angela could fight, whereas my mother was raised by the pretending to be peaceful whispering Queen.

Alania was a bitch who wanted my mom to be meek and passive, but my mother was neither of those things.

Part of me hoped there was a ribbon where my mother just kicked the asses of all the Fairies from her past and popped away from them until my Grandpa Titus or any of my uncles found her. I think that would be nice for my mom to see.

Some of those realities we’d heard about sucked. They all had different circumstances. I might be biased, but I think my mom got the rawest deal of them all. At least other me’s had my mom looking out for their version of her. She saved a lot of them and so did my dad. I was proud of both of them.

Dad linked me, “You get on any and all strategies to protect Angela and Klaus from Alania.” I agreed, “I will.” I linked Phil, “Is Keaton Daniels here?” He snorted, “Are you serious? No.” I groaned, “Why?” I needed to talk to him.

He replied, “Off the top of my head? His girlfriend is the worst.” Great.

I’d get ahold of him and get his opinions on assessments. He was adept at them, and I was going to project my sister. Because anyone who EVER hurt Angela would see a side of me that surpassed the anger they’d seen from my dad.

In fact, they’d think it tame compared to what I would do to those who’d hurt my family or my Lovebug. If anyone EVER hurt my Melanie, then they would quickly find out what Robert did all those years ago. You stayed away from her. Or else.

Before I left the room, I winked and snapped all the women a strawberry martini in honor of my mom.

They all raised a glass to me. Uncle Aiden was practically walking on air.

He’d been waiting for this moment. I think he thought it would be Julian though.

I needed to ask Cassie what her feelings about it were.

She was usually right. I faded into the background and went outside.

I found Angela and Klaus easily. I hugged her saying, “I’m happy for you, little sister.

” Angela smiled boasting, “Klaus said he’d help me in the library try to figure out my blurry visions.

” I kissed her forehead, “You don’t even worry about that today.

Ok? It’s not only your birthday today, you met your mate.

That’s a double celebration that has no space to worry about blurry visions. ”

I held my hand out to the kid I’d met introducing myself, “I’m Alexander.” Klaus smiled, “I know. We’ve met.” I admitted, “Most people can’t tell us all apart.” Klaus replied, “Once I hear all your names with faces, I’ll remember. I’ll remember them all for my Angela.” I nearly gagged.

Parker linked me, “He’s been saying sappy shit like that for an hour. For an hour, Alexander. I need to wash my eyes and brain out.” I bit back a smile winked at my little brother. I told Klaus and Angela, “I’m sure you’ll see a revolving door of us all now that I’ve started the train.”

Klaus nodded, “I’m sure. I will not harm your sister. Ever. I promise.” I raised an eyebrow telling him, “I don’t doubt you, Klaus. From the moment I saw you looking at Angela, I knew that. I worry about others.”

Klaus declared, “I will light them on fire if they so much as upset my Angela.” I laughed, “I could get behind that.” I hugged Angela again then walked inside.

Parker linked, “No, no, no. Go ahead and leave, I insist. I’ll be out here trying not to gag.

” I laughed, “You’re the better man for it. ” He huffed.

I saw Elise sneak off. I grabbed a glass of whiskey and drained it, welcoming the burn. I grabbed two more, slammed the second one, then held onto the third. EJ trickled outside after Elise. No doubt at her direction.

I walked outside and found a freshly showered Cayden. I laughed asking, “Did you beat someone up?” Cayden answered, “Yes.” I gasped in mock horror, “And you didn’t invite me after the day I had? I thought we were brothers.”

Cayden hummed, “I’m terribly sorry. It involved a source.” I nodded, “The one you asked if I’d heal. How is said source?” Cayden answered, “Improving. Unconscious but improving.” I offered, “If you change your mind, I’ll be there.”

Mentally I wanted to scream at him asking, “Was it Ashley? Is Ashley unconscious?” I didn’t though, which meant Oden was restless. Cayden went inside to find Cassie. I headed towards the gym but instead shifted and ran to Yellow Hills.
