Page 61 of Sins and Virtue
Swiftly he slid across the floor as he matched her pace and turned Blair to him.
An onlooking group of college boys with lust in their eyes catcalled her as she paid them no mind, continuing with her dancing partner.
Their bodies were flushed together as her hips swayed side to side, carrying the rhythm of the melody within the music. Breath on the breath. Their skin was flushed. It was intricate, passionate, and sensual.
I felt like I was overstepping, yet I couldn’t back away. I had the option, but my eyes were glued to her; watching her hips sway, her body’s flow and gaze hypnotized me. If I had no self-control, I would have ripped his hands off her and taken her instead. Having the urge to take her in my arms, show her all the pleasure my body could give her. What I could do and teach her to like and beg for.
Once the song was over, Blair bowed like an experienced performer as the man kissed her hand and left.
Everything was in order as she faced my direction, almost like she was looking for me, but the group of frat boys surrounded her, gifting her with compliments and praise. Two, four, six damn little fuckers.
I’ll kill them all. Let me out.Dya rattled in his cage.
No… not yet.
I debated whether or not I should leave their fate in my hands or Dya’s.
Out of breath, she seemed to reciprocate their flirtatious banter but then slowly withdrew, heading towards the bar.
Abruptly, one of them—a bucktoothed gremlin— grabbed her arm, burning his disgusting fingerprints on her and dragging her back in.
Her face twisted in discomfort as she pushed him away, but he kept his dirty fucking hands on her. Another stared blatantly at her ass, touching the curve of her back as she cursed him off.
Unconsciously, my body moved, barreling through the dance floor, shoving some of the fuckers to the floor as I pulled her behind me and yelled, “Don’t fucking touch her, pezzo di merda!” Wrapping my hands around the bastard who manhandled her inappropriately and smashing my fist into his face.
Blair and the rest of his little posse gasped.
“You fucker!” Someone yelled behind me as I turned around just in time for his sneak attack.
I caught his fist and began to crush it as he squealed like a little bitch, which was ironic considering he looked like a naked mole rat.
Now the whole crowd had their sight on us, and I would rip their eyeballs out too if they didn’t mind their fucking business.
“Kon, stop.” She softly begged, her eyes rounded with only one concern— me. “Please.”
The bloodlust inside me was ravenous, needing to quench the thirst for justice; in another situation, everyone here would have already been dead, but it only took one look of those hazel eyes to render me completely.
I let him go, knocking him back as he lamented like a baby.
“Come on, let’s go.” She offered her hand.
And when I was ready to take it, a sharp glass broke over my head, the sting barely noticeable, but with my control lingering to a fine thread, it only meant one thing: death.
Spinning on the heel of my foot as I took him by the collar, throwing him over my shoulder and body slamming him onto the floor. Then someone else came, and I wrapped my arms around his neck and snapped it. The buck-toothed bastard whom I first punched came back for more as I lifted my leg and kicked him into another group of partygoers.
The same bastard picked a fight with another guy, and soon everyone began fighting as the chaos of screaming, punching, and glass breaking followed.
Punch after punch. Hit after hit. Madness was all that surrounded the place.
Somewhere in between, someone yelled in the midst, making everyone freeze. “The cops are here!”
Two officers in their uniform scanned the area as their gaze met mine. “Isn’t that the criminal we’ve been looking for?” He pointed directly at me.
His other partner confirmed. “That’s the guy from the TV! Let’s get him.”
And although I should have thought about my own being, the only thing I could think was how not to incriminate Blair.
They came through the mess of a crowd, stealthily making their way against the current of the leaving mass as Blair jumped in front of them, extending her arms out and prohibiting them from passing.
