Page 83 of HER SISTER

I let out an annoyed groan, "It's not funny Milan," I said as we remained laid in her large bed.

Mili only continued laughing as she nuzzled into my neck, "I-I can't—you're so adorable."

I rolled my eyes, "I'm blocking my dad's number in your phone."

Mili's laughter only grew, "Ati-I really can't take you seriously right now, please," she breathed out between laughs.

I groaned again, pushing her away as I grabbed her illuminated phone displaying me in my Halloween costume at ten years old.

I had decided to be a clown that year.

Full face paint, a red curly short wig, large shoes, and a colorful jumpsuit—

I had definitely done something...

Unique that year.

I mean seriously, what ten year old decides they want to be an actual clown for Halloween?

Like I can't even right now.

And now my dad seemingly sent it to Mili—so not only did I wake up to a painfully sore body from last night, but also this.

I mean, how dare he?

I'm so getting him back for this one.

"Atiana," Mili breathed out between her soft laughs as I pulled out of her hold.

I only shook my head, "No, don't touch me," I said, basically throwing a full-on fit.

I could definitely be childish when I wanted to.

Automatically, Mili's laughter slowly faded as she guided me back down to the bed, "Don't be like that—I can't help that he sent me that..." she trailed off when her lips twitched slightly, indicating that she was really trying to hold back her laughter.

I narrowed my eyes at her, glancing down to the illuminated phone screen—and as soon as Mili followed my line of sight, she fell into another fit of laughter.

"Baby-baby please I can't help it," Mili laughed out as she held her stomach.

I only shook my head as I slid fully out of her hold this time, "You also won't be able to help it when I don't let you fuck me until the end of the week," I subtly added.

Just like that, Mili's laughter was cut short—there wasn't even a fade—it was just gone.

And before either of us could say anything, Mili's ring doorbell echoed throughout the house.

"Hmm I wonder who's here," I said, completely disregarding my last statement.

Mili suddenly laid up from the bed as I tossed my sore legs over the side so I could stand.

"You can't be serious right now," Mili suddenly said, clearly clinging to my previous words.

I clenched my teeth as I stood on my extremely sore legs—the worst part about it was the tightness in my inner hip muscles.

"Atiana," Mili called from behind me as I slowly walked out of the room.

I hummed as she followed me down the set stairs, that I was descending very slowly, "Delete the photo," I said.

"It's deleted—I'll do it right now," Mili said, clearly not hesitating.

I hummed again as we made it to the bottom of the stairs, turning to face Mili as I said, "Now look at me without laughing."

Mili's dark eyes looked between mine with complete seriousness, which easily managed to prove my little ego showdown wrong.

Well, until her lips pursed into a tight line, clearly trying to hold back her laughter.

I sighed in irritation as I turned on my heel—easily causing Mili to trail behind me as soft chuckles vibrated in her throat, clearly attempting to hold back her laughter.

"Ati—baby please," Mili said, clearly finding the situation unfair.

I slid her hands off of me as soon as she wrapped them around my waist, "Someone's at the door, Milan," I pointed out.

Mili only hummed as she inevitably pulled me back into her warm body by my hips, "What happened to calling me baby?" she murmured, leaning down to subtly graze her lips against my neck, "You seemed to be all for it when you were spitting in my mouth last night."

I froze slightly at even the slightest recollection of last night.

Honestly, the side that Mili brought of me was so unrecognizable to me—I swear I can't even begin to hold myself back in the slightest when it comes to her.

But right now I'm forced to.

I hummed, turning my head slightly to press a soft kiss to her cheek, "I meant what I said, Milan," I reminded her.

An irritated whine fell from my girlfriend's lips, "It's just a picture—and the end of the week is really far away," she pointed out as I walked toward the door.

"It's Thursday," I pointed out, knowing that Sunday was only three days away.

Even still, her uneasiness at the idea of not being able to touch me made me grow with warmth.

Before Mili could argue my point further, I was suddenly opening the door.

"Damn finally. What are you guys? Fucking sloths?"

I laughed slightly as Mya entered Mili's apartment, walking past me as I closed the door behind her.

Mili gave her sister a narrowed look, "I'm definitely not in the mood to argue with you right now," she said, and it was clear that I had previously pressed her nerves.

"Aw did someone not get their breakfast in bed this morning?" Mya fake pouted before turning around to open Mili's fridge.

I hummed tightly, "Not like she was deserving of it this morning anyways," I subtly added, clearly throwing subs at her.

Which earned a narrowed look from my girlfriend.

Mya suddenly turned around from the fridge with the orange juice pitcher in her hand, "Oh no, M, why are you on Ana's bad side this early in the morning?" she questioned, clearly amused by us.

Mili suddenly looked to me, "Well..." she trailed off, clearly figuring out the best way to explain what unfolded, "Why don't I just show you?" she suddenly offered.

I gasped, suddenly reaching for her, "Milan you better—"

But I was easily cut off by my own breathless huff, easily being reminded of my sore legs that were barely working.

Mya tilted her head as she looked between us both.

And it was clear she had easily pieced two and two together.

"I don't even want to know why Ana can't walk right now," Mya determined, clearly not wanting to discuss Mili and I's sex life.

Mili smirked slightly to herself as she tapped on her phone, clearly leaving the topic alone as she navigated to the picture that started all of this.

"Milan, I swear you better not," I said, crossing my arms over my chest which was covered by one of her oversized t-shirts.

Mili only hummed, "I thought you guys were soul sisters?" she said, clearly reiterating Mya's words from last night.

Which I couldn't necessarily deny.

"Aw, we are. I wouldn't judge you, Ana," Mya reassured me, smiling slightly as she looked back to her sister.

I lazily raised my brows, "Sure..." I trailed off, knowing that this picture was pretty priceless.

And as soon as Mili flipped the phone around, Mya's face dropped.

It wasn't hard to miss the way her lips pursed into a straight line, clearly trying to hold back her laughter.

"Aw, that's..." Mya trailed off, suddenly drawing in an unsteady breath as she forced a shaky smile, "So cute—what were you?" she questioned, and her voice was barely audible as she desperately tried to hold in her laughter.

I hummed sharply, looking between the two sisters whom I swore were the most annoying people in the world at this very moment.

Mya knew exactly what I was.

It wasn't exactly hard to recognize my costume.

"A clown."

And as soon as the words left my lips, they were both pressing a hand over their mouths and turning away from me, clearly trying their hardest not to laugh.

"I hate both of you guys," I said, shaking my head as I pulled out my phone to text my mom.

I'm about to get my dad in so much trouble.

Starting with the fact that he forgot Valentine's Day two years ago, so I had to go out and quickly buy chocolates and gifts while he cooked dinner for my mom.

Oh—

And I can't forget that time when he broke her favorite custom mug that he told her must've gotten lost somewhere.

Bonus points for that one because it was gifted from Nami and Elyse who were also upset about it going missing.

Now everyone can be mad at him.

"If it makes you feel better... there's a party Saturday night—you down?" Mya asked, clearly holding her composure a little better than before.

I nodded with a hum, clearly concentrating on texting my mom.

Mya clasped her hands together, "Perfect—"

"And what about me?" Mili cut her sister short.

Mya shrugged, "What about you?" she questioned, clearly trying to press her sister's nerves.

Meanwhile, I had begun making a numbered list, labeling it from bad to worst of the things my dad had done.

That way it'll make her even madder as she reads down the message.

Mya suddenly laughed, easily zoning me back into their little disagreement.

"I'm just kidding, Mi—you're invited too of course," Mya suddenly said, clearly still on the party topic.

I let out a content sigh as I sent the message to my mom, easily locking my phone and sliding it back into the pocket of Mili's sweatpants that I wore.

Mili raised a slight brow along with Mya.

"She's dangerously calm right now," Mili determined as her dark eyes trailed my face.

Mya nodded hesitantly, "You gotta watch for the calm ones—" she suddenly looked over to her Mili, "—Trust me, I would know," she said, obviously referring to her sister.

I laughed slightly, "Oh me too," I said, walking past Mya to grab a glass for my orange juice.

Mili shook her head, purposefully leaving the topic alone as she said, "So where's this party?"

And just like that, we fell into our own conversation as Mili began getting the ingredients out for breakfast—meanwhile, Mya was roping me into making TikToks.

It was all such an oddly normal morning, especially with Mya present in my life again.

And even if they both managed to annoy me this morning, I couldn't possibly imagine spending my morning with anyone else.
