Page 106 of HER SISTER
I did a shy twirl in the loose maxi skirt and the tiny brown bandeau top.
The printed maxi skirt sat low on my waist while the matching bandeau top completely revealed my toned stomach.
I purposely wore my day old hair down, which was a rare occurrence—but it was super wavy and matched the beach look I was going for.
That's also why I was wearing gold jewelry as well—my entire suitcase was packed to match a certain vacation vibe.
And I was definitely succeeding right now.
"You look so fucking hot—please I need another drink," Mya joked as Arielle guided me to twirl again.
A giggle fell from my lips, "You guys look so hot too—let's not discredit the fits," I said as I motioned to them both.
From Arielle's short ruffle red dress to Mya's small black skirt and matching corset top—I knew we'd be catching a lot of attention tonight.
And that seemed to be proven when Frankie and Willow walked back into the large room after getting changed.
There were so many bedrooms here that we deemed one as a getting-ready room.
I looked from Willow's violet halter dress that complimented her skin perfectly—to Frankie's beige knit top and matching pants.
"You both look so good," I said with a growing smile.
And just like that they both were smiling.
"Judge Judy is off duty tonight," Willow jokingly called out, easily earning laughs from all of us.
"Yeah, the courts definitely don't want to see all the ass shaking tonight," Frankie added as she sprayed herself in perfume.
Mya shook her head with a loose smile, "We're about to take over the fucking club," she determined as I slid my brown lace-up heels on.
"Hell yeah," Arielle added in agreement as she carefully lined her lips before adding gloss.
Willow shook her head, "Not to be the practical one like usual—but it's nine and everyone else is already downstairs pre-gaming," she said.
Mya dramatically gasped, "Without us?"
I couldn't help but laugh, "You forget that your boyfriend is worse than you when it comes to shots," I added.
Mya jokingly rolled her eyes, "And I bet my sister isn't helping matters—" she adjusted her top before saying, "—Ready to head down?"
Everyone simultaneously nodded as I stood back up to my full height after finishing tying my heels up my ankles.
The night already felt light and full of possibilities.
We could either end up wasted on the beach or at a nearby food spot eating to our heart's desire.
And I already knew that the clubs would be as packed and alive as ever.
I mean, we are in Ibiza...
A laugh fell from my lips among the rest of us when the rest of our friend group began jokingly wolf-whistling.
And as Mya settled by Ryder's side, Arielle by Damon's, and Willow by Marco's—Frankie and I seemed to stand across the counter while Cam and Mili stood on opposite sides of the long island across from us with everyone else.
It was an odd ratio...
Although, it seemed to even out when Mya walked to stand beside me with Ryder by her side.
"I already got the first club of the night lined up," Ryder determined.
Willow raised a brow, "We're going to more than one?" she retorted.
Damon laughed as he poured the shots, "Need I remind you where we are?" he joked.
Frankie laughed, "Hope you're ready to party your ass off," she said as everyone seemed to grab a filled shot.
And as the group began talking about the club line-up for the night—I couldn't stop myself from glancing over.
Even when I said I wasn't going to look at her.
But knowing she looked good managed to tempt my eyes over.
And from her baggy long denim shorts to her oversized patterned button-down that remained open with a tank underneath—my eyes were practically roaming.
Especially with her dark hair slicked back into a low bun and her bare face as glowy as ever.
I instantly looked down at my filled shot glass when her dark eyes suddenly glanced to me.
And suddenly I realized how openly I was checking her out.
And the realization alone was enough to make my face grow warm with shyness.
"To our real first night in Ibiza!" Ryder called out as we held our glasses up.
And after clinking the small glasses together, we were throwing the burning shots back with cheers and laughter.
I scrunched my nose up slightly as I looked around for some sort of chaser.
Typically, I always have a chaser, but I guess I'll be fine.
Even if my chest is burning so fucking bad.
"Let me grab some chasers real quick."
I suddenly looked over to Mili who was now walking over to the fridge.
Her actions alone made me wonder if she remembered that about me—
If she was grabbing chasers specifically for me, but didn't want to say that.
And I won't lie, as soon as the cans of pineapple juices were on the counter—I was practically snatching one up.
But as soon as the burning in my chest subsided, we seemed to be onto our next round of shots.
I've come to realize that when my friends say pre-game—they really just mean drinking.
Because here we are walking through the packed beach club practically bordering on drunk.
But also another thing about my friends—specifically Mya, is that we're going to dance off the alcohol until we need more shots to even feel tipsy again.
Luckily, in Ibiza, everyone seemed to be completely shit-faced anyways so it really didn't seem to matter how much we drank.
Or if we took the small pink pills offered to us by our bottle girls running our section.
I obviously declined along with everyone else, but we did decide to take the ecstasy pills with us to possibly try at our villa in a safe space.
After taking more shots, I seemingly found myself by the bar ordering a mixed drink.
And my god did the bartender hook me up with her recommendation.
"I need to know your secret," I called out over the music.
The woman smiled at me as she flicked her curly hair over her shoulder.
"I have to kill you if I tell you," she joked as she finished making another customer's drink.
I hummed as I took another sip, "I'll take my chances," I joked back as she slid the group of girls beside me their drinks.
The woman's dark eyes traveled up and down my body, "Where are you from?" she questioned.
I smiled, "United States," I said as I took another sip of my drink.
The woman raised a brow, "Really? You could pass for a local here," she said, and I seemed to take that as a compliment.
Especially since we're in Spain.
The woman suddenly reached out for my long dark hair, "Very beautiful," she over-enunciated over the music so I understood her properly.
I felt my smile grow as a laugh fell from my lips, suddenly feeling entirely awkward.
Especially since I couldn't tell if she was flirting with me or not.
However, before I had a chance to figure out the woman's intentions, someone suddenly called out over the music, "What top-shelf liquors do you have?"
Just like that, I was glancing over—and I was barely able to stop my eyes from widening at Mili's presence beside me.
With how tipsy I was, I knew my own reaction was written all over my face.
And when Mili's dark eyes suddenly met mine, I felt everything inside of me grow hot.
So hot that I felt like I was suddenly sweating.
"What are you drinking on?" she asked me.
And I couldn't bother to blink a few times, almost considering if there was someone behind me that she was speaking to.
But when Mili's dark eyes glanced between my own, I managed to force out, "I'm not sure. bartender's recommendation."
My voice was slightly drowned out by the music, but Mili seemed to hear me, especially when she glanced over to the woman searching for the liquor menu for Mili to read.
If Mili could even read right now.
Her eyes seemed to be heavy and red, which indicated that she had already smoked.
"It's really good. You should try it," I added, suddenly feeling awkward with her full attention on me.
Mili raised a brow—and I swear I sucked in the sharpest breath of my life when she managed to lean over to me.
A warmth prickled down my spine when she slid her hand across the back of my chair and leaned down to the drink in front of me.
But what managed to send my thoughts into overdrive was when she held my stare as she took a sip of my drink—clearly not caring that my mouth had been on the straw.
Time felt so slow as I glanced between her eyes before inevitably looking down at her soft lips around the straw.
She was so close—closer than she had been in months.
I blinked a few times when Mili suddenly pulled back completely—easily snapping me from the daze she put me in.
"I like that—" she suddenly looked to the bartender who had watched our encounter, "—Let me get what she has," she said to the woman.
The bartender automatically nodded, but I couldn't miss the way her eyes glanced between us with her own determination.
Well, now it's obvious that the bartender was flirting with me.
And it's also obvious why Mili's standing beside me right now.
But I'm not who I used to be... so of course I'm going to call her out on it.
"Mili," I suddenly said, pinning my attention on her.
Mili's dark eyes instantly met mine, "Ana," she repeated back to me, mimicking my tone.
And I couldn't help but cringe at the name that fell from her lips, but it didn't stop me from already planning my next words.
Maybe this alone time has been really good for my confidence.
