Story: Doesn’t Count

Chapter Twelve

Ashton

I shut my laptop, the movement from the bus making me sick. We’ve been on the road now for four hours with another two to get to Austin, Texas. The guys have a show tonight, which means another weekend of party, drugs, and no sleep.

It’s routine for them. I don’t know how anyone can enjoy this lifestyle, it’s a rollercoaster of absolute chaos.

Somedays I wake up not knowing if I’m on the bus or in a hotel.

Sometimes, it’s not even day anymore when I finally open my eyes again.

I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to get back to normal when I’m finished with this tour.

I slide back down under the covers of the bed, Khaos still sleeping beside me in his bandana.

I wonder if he knows he whimpers in his sleep like a little puppy that’s just been separated from its mother.

Sometimes I even get the urge to wrap my body around his to quell the nightmares, but then again, it’s Khaos.

They’re probably wet dreams. Either way, I’m definitely storing this in my back pocket for later use.

Things between us seem to have cooled since his apology. He took losing like a champ and now I feel like I’ve lost the motivation to keep tantalizing him. Even though it was probably the most fun I’ve had in years.

My body stills as he rolls over, facing my back and tugging me against him.

I'm afraid that if I move, he’ll realize what he’s doing.

He hasn’t touched me while we’ve slept together, or really at all, so this is new.

He groans in my ear as he presses his groin into me.

He’s hard, his shorts doing nothing to cushion his straining cock.

“Good dream?” I finally ask, hoping to startle him.

He only nods against my shoulder, his fingers starting to trail up my shirt, tickling my belly and causing me to shiver. I can’t quite catch my breath as his fingers linger too close to the hem of my sleep shorts.

“Care to share?” I breathe.

“Nah. I can show you though.”

Khaos slips his hand into my shorts, skimming a finger along my panty covered center. My lungs freeze at the touch, a tingling sensation rocketing through my core. My eyes flutter closed as he slowly rubs me until my underwear is soaking wet.

Suddenly, the door swings open and Hypnos climbs into bed. I gasp, pulling myself away and into a sitting position against the headboard.

“Whatchya guys doing?” He asks smugly, as if he doesn’t already know.

“Nothing. Sleeping.” I sputter out.

“You feeling alright, Ash? You’re looking a little pink.” He smiles widely.

I roll my eyes. He settles on top of the comforter in between Khaos and me, crossing his legs with his arms behind his head.

“It’s a show night.” He wiggles his brows at Khaos.

“Yeah, I know. Do you need something?” He snaps between gritted teeth.

“Nothing in particular. Maybe just some attention from my two besties.” He answers.

“Awe, you have my attention.” I tell him, kissing his cheek.

Khaos grumbles to himself before climbing out of the bed and into the shower leaving Hypnos and me alone. He lays his head in my lap, and I play with his hair the way he likes, the way he told me his mother used to.

“Ash?” He asks, his voice relaxed.

“Hmm?”

“What’s your best friend like? Is she hot?” He asks randomly.

I can’t help but giggle at his boyishness.

“Yeah, Sam’s hot. We met in college and have roomed together for the last five years.” I reach down and grab my phone from the floor to pull up a picture of Sam.

“Yes! Is she single?” He asks eagerly.

“She is... but I’m sorry to break it to you, she’s only into lead singers.” I burst his bubble.

“Typical.” He pouts.

“But, doesn’t hurt to see if she’ll bang the drummer.” I laugh, FaceTiming her.

Sam answers on the third ring, her face fills the screen. By the way her hair is braided and her make up is perfectly intact, I can tell she’s working.

“Hey baby!” She greets excitedly.

I pull the phone back so Hypnos can fit in the frame.

“Hey baby.” He nods his head, smirking beneath his mask.

“Oh shit! Hi!” She smiles flirtatiously.

“Sam, this is Hypnos. He’s the drummer and he’s wondering if you’re single.” I laugh.

Hypnos’ eyes widen in horror, and he shoves me.

“What too blunt?” I ask him.

“Way too blunt, I didn’t even get to use my charm.” He whispers.

“I can hear you both.” Sam giggles. “And I’m single.”

“Sweet.” He nods to her. “Maybe you can take a night off and join us sometime for a show.”

“I’d like that!” She tells him.

“Um, hell yes! You have to come out! We’ll be in Chicago next month, why don’t you join us then?” I ask, the excitement palpable.

She starts squealing. “Yes! Oh my God! I’m totally down.”

Hypnos laughs, “Perfect! We’ll get you a backstage pass and some of the finer flower.”

“What the hell is finer flower?” Sam scrunches her perfect button nose.

“Weed.” Hypnos explains, chuckling. “Have you ever smoked?”

She shakes her head, no.

“Oh man! Are you telling me your girl here is more corrupt than you are?” He goads.

“What? Ash! You didn’t tell me you tried weed.” She frowns and I feel bad that I haven’t told her a lot of what’s happened these last few weeks. “And no, I wouldn’t say Ash is more corrupt than I am. She’s never even-”

“Got to go! Byeeeee!” I hang up before she can out me for all the things I’ve never done. I don’t need to be called a prude again.

“Awe what the heck? She was just about to share fun facts about Ash.” He groans.

“That’s the last thing we need.” I mutter.

Khaos storms out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist.

“Out.” He demands, nodding his head towards the door.

Hypnos scoots off the bed and I follow.
