Story: Doesn’t Count
Chapter Ten
Khaos
I t’s been two weeks on the road and we’re all tired and irritable. I’m not sure I’ll make it another day. I need out. I need to get away from the relentless flirting between Ash and Hypnos. He’s doing it just to bother me and Ash is eating it up.
She hasn’t spoken to me since I kissed her.
Other than the few insults we exchange from time to time.
It’s starting to grate on my nerves. The fact that I care is what’s driving me over the edge.
I don’t want to care. I honestly hate her.
She’s everything I despise in a person. The last thing I need are my band mates pining after her.
We all decided it was best to take the next few days to relax and camp out at the Keystone State Park in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. We’re buried in the woods, but a couple miles out is the lake where families kayak and swim. It’s a picturesque family vacation, one I’ve only dreamed of.
The snoring from my bandmates is muffled as I’m shut inside the only small room on this vehicle, but the slamming of the bus door rings in my ears clear as day.
I lean over in my bed, pushing the curtains aside and see a little blonde in a sports bra and leggings, shoving headphones in her ears.
I watch her start to jog, then I pull on a T-shirt, jeans, and my black mask before I follow.
It has to be six in the morning, the sun still struggling to rise. I choke on the cold humidity that clings to the air, making it hard to breathe in my mask. Ash is ahead of me by a few paces, but I can still see the neon pink of her bra weaving between the trees.
I tail her quietly and hover behind the trunk of a tree when she reaches the clearing.
The water is like glass, glittering against the sun that’s breaking through the murky morning.
I watch as she catches her breath, staring at the water like it's calling for her. She’s aggravatingly stunning, something I hate to admit even if it’s just to myself.
There’s an undeniable attraction to her that hurts the more I try to fight it.
The fact that I followed her into the woods without her knowing is just proof that she’s got me hooked on something bad.
Like a lethal drug I can’t quit no matter how many stints in rehab and those two weeks of pretending I don’t want her, just makes me crave her even more.
All it took was just one little hit, one little taste of Ash on my tongue and I’m a goner.
Before she turns around to jog back to the bus, I retreat. Hiding deeper into the woods, so she can’t see me. I lean against a tree as I hear her footsteps get closer. When her breath reaches my ears, I spin around, making myself seen.
Her eyes widen in surprise, her heels digging into the dirt to halt herself, but she’s too late. She plows right into me, and I catch her. Gripping her biceps, I push her backward into the same tree I was leaning against.
Her chest heaves, her erratic breathing drowns out the song of the birds and her eyes gleam with confusion and fear.
The wild look on her face ignites a fire inside my soul.
She licks her dry lips, leaving a sheen of saliva behind.
My eyes fixate on the spot her tongue just left and a hunger starts to claw its way through me.
“You’re looking at me like you want to kiss me.” She whispers into the morning air, repeating my words from two weeks ago.
The world around us slows and it’s just me and her in this forest. The chill cools my burning skin and keeps me focused and in control, but it’s taking every ounce of effort I have.
The lack of sleep at night sometimes makes me a little delirious and fucks with my judgement and I’m trying to make sure this is not one of those times, but who am I kidding?
“And what if I do?” I test.
“Then I'd have to say check mate .” She smiles and it rips my brain in two, I'm mesmerized by the beauty of her face and infuriated by her audacity to call me out on my lack of restraint.
"Don’t flatter yourself. I’m just here for a little conversation.” I lie.
“Is this how you have all your conversations with women? Pinning them against a tree?” She laughs.
I spin her, shoving her face into the sharp bark. “I don’t see any women here, Eris.”
A small moan escapes her perfectly pink, plump lips as she shoves her ass against me. It’s the smallest movement, one you might miss if your dick wasn’t straining against your jeans, desperate to break free. I grab her ponytail, yanking her head back against my chest, forcing her to look at me.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
“Why not?” She challenges, biting her lower lip.
I groan, feeling myself fit perfectly between the crevice of her ass cheeks. I’m curious to know how far she’ll let me take this. She accepts my touches every now and then but doesn’t seem like the type to take it past a simple kiss.
“I’m really close to losing my shit.” I growl a warning in her ear.
“Then lose it.” She pants, clearly just as bothered by our tension as I am.
All will power I have inside of me disappears with those three simple words.
“Close your eyes.”
She does as she’s told, and I wrap my bandana over her face, cutting off her sight. Her breath is steady now, but still heavy with anticipation. I can see her nipples pebble in excitement and my mouth waters.
“I won’t be gentle.” I prepare her.
She whimpers at my words, her body begging to be touched. With her back still molded to my front, I run my fingers up and down her arms, goosebumps spreading across her skin.
“This feels pretty gentle to me,” she argues.
I chuckle, always ready to prove her wrong in everything. I spin her around, forcing her back against the tree now and yank her bra down, her breasts popping free. She gasps, trying to cover herself, but I slap her hand away and take her nipple into my mouth, sucking violently.
She cries out, birds scattering from the intrusive noise. “Jesus!”
“Jesus can’t save you.” I mutter between malicious bites of her flesh.
Her fingers entangle themselves in my hair and she pulls with all her strength, yanking my head away. My mouth unlatches from her with a loud pop and her fingers curl around the top of her blindfold .
“Don’t you dare.” I wait anxiously to see what she’s going to do.
She wants to pull the bandana off, she wants to see my face while I ravish her here in the woods, in this small bubble we’ve enclosed ourselves in. She’s going to be sorely disappointed.
I don’t take any chances, tugging my belt loose, I bind both her wrists together and tie the other end to the branch above us.
A red flush makes its way from her cheeks, down to her neck and chest, bruises covering her exposed breasts.
I tsk, “You just can’t be trusted, can you?”
“I wasn’t going to take it off, I swear! I wasn’t thinking!” She urges.
“Now you don’t have to think.” I whisper in her ear.
She shutters and I wonder if she can feel my heated gaze on her lips.
They’re ruby red now from her chewing them, anxiety getting the best of her.
I want to kiss her, but my mouth is salivating for a taste of something else.
Instead, I shove her leggings down, letting the cold air fill the space between her thighs.
“Wait!” She gasps.
The sight of her standing there naked from the waist down in only her sports bra and gym shoes fills me with a yearning that I can’t temper down. It takes a strength I didn’t know I possess to pause, kneeling in the dirt before her, my hands wrapped around her thighs.
“Eris?” I growl through clenched teeth.
Her mouth pops open, a whimper clambering out unsteadily as my hands inch closer to her center.
Finally, she smiles. “Check mate.”
I chuckle, suddenly aware of where I am, what I’m doing, and who I’m doing it with, but none of those things matter right now. They're not strong enough to tamper down this overwhelming need to give her a kiss that she can’t discount, even if she wanted to .
“I’ll give you this one.” I concede, willing to lose this battle so I can win the war.
Without another second passing by, I part her with my thumbs, and lash my tongue against her clit.
Her body jolts against me, begging for more, so that’s what I give her.
Flattening my tongue, I drag it from her entrance back up to her little, sensitive nub, circling it over and over again.
It drives her wild, the sound of her moaning fills the air around us.
I lift one of her thighs, bringing it over my shoulder to get better access. She drives her hips forward, grinding herself against my face as I shove my tongue into her as far as it would go. When I glance up, she throws her head back against the tree and groans like a woman possessed.
I smirk against her pussy as I lift her other leg over me, holding her weight now, and eat her like I’m starving for her taste.
As I suck her clit, I shake my head violently, causing a scream to bellow out of her.
It’s the most divine song I’ve ever heard, spurring me on.
I lap at her as she smashes herself into my face, gyrating her hips, until she’s gushing straight into my mouth.
When I drop her legs, her body sags like she’s completely depleted. Her chest rises and falls with heavy pants and it’s the most glorious sight I've ever seen.
“Close your eyes.” I order.
I quickly move the bandana from her face to mine before her eyes flutter open.
“How’s that for a kiss?” I smile beneath my mask, untying her hands.
She rubs her wrists, which are red from tugging, then slides back into her leggings and fixes her bra.
Shrugging, she walks ahead of me. “Don’t go thinking that one counts.”
I snort. “Real clever, but if I had to guess I’m betting it was the best kiss you’ve ever had.”
“There is only one problem.” She says.
“And what’s that?”
“It wasn’t a kiss.” She states simply.
I roll my eyes. “Semantics.”
“Well, it doesn’t count.” She repeats, remaining firm.
“It counts for something.” I argue. I didn’t lose this battle for nothing.
“Sure. We’ll call it a mistake.” The words slip easily from her.
I scoff. “You were practically begging for it.”
“A total lapse in judgement but thank you.” She spins around to face me, patting my chest. “It was... nice.”
“I see what this is.” I taunt her as she continues back toward the bus.
“Hmm?” She hums, carelessly.
“You’re trying to get back at me for that kiss a couple weeks ago. Did I hurt your feelings?” I tease.
“Not at all. I’ve just decided that any kiss you ever give me will never count.” She states with a finality that stirs up a challenge.
“And why is that?” I press her.
“Because... I’m saving my kiss for someone worth kissing.”
“You're delusional.” I growl, stalking past her until I make it to the bus.
I shut myself inside my room, ready to go the fuck back to bed.
