Page 85 of Never To Suffer (The Hollywoodland #4)

I wonder if Theo has his cock inside Xander right now.

I’m picturing it, imagining what the scene must look like from above.

Writhing sheets and silent screams, breathy moans and breathless moments.

Theo’s low grunt tells me he’s finished first, a moment later comes Xander’s shuttering gasp.

Skylar’s determined I’ll be next, hooking two fingers inside me to the knuckle while their hips move slow and steady.

They use their free hand to cover my mouth.

“Show me how good a girl you can be when I’m filling your greedy pussy.” Even flying to foreign countries, they can’t help their dirty mouth.

I shatter for them, quietly falling apart as my body shakes.

I don’t hear them, but I sense them follow me into the abyss.

When they’re done, muscular arms wrap around me, protecting me in this vulnerable state of bliss.

They fall asleep first, their body more relaxed than normal, and their breathing just a bit softer.

Everything about this moment is surreal.

We’re engaged. I smile as I drift off, surrounded by their warmth.

Theo’s so freaked out and excited he could explode.

He’s trying to hold it all in, but we all see it.

His hands shake, his voice shakes, his entire body could be mistaken for a vibrator at this point.

Marie picks us up in her adorably tiny car, and I’m glad I didn’t pack all my things.

We pile in, Skylar in the front since he’s so tall, the rest of us nice and cozy in the back.

Theo points out the restaurant where he first worked and smiles as he recalls the different places he went with élodie and Gio.

The sadness when he talks about them has lessened, replaced more every day by laughter and happy tears.

But he and Marie both refuse to tell us where we’re going.

I’m instantly in love with the city, and sad when it’s nothing more than a distant skyline in the rear window.

But the countryside is pure artwork. The colors are a palette of greens and browns spotted with brightly colored flowers in some areas.

We pass by farmlands with rows and rows of grapes followed by a field of cows and flowers.

Somehow, the scenery never changes but never looks the same.

Xander pulls me close as I gawk out the window.

“Are you seeing how beautiful all of this is?” I ask in a whisper.

“I am.” I turn to look at him and see he’s staring at me, not out the window. My cheeks burn because no matter what, I’ll always blush for Skylar, Xander, and Theo.

“Okay, everyone,” Theo announces, waking Skylar from his nap. “Close your eyes. No peeking or you’ll spoil it.”

“I had my eyes closed just fine before you piped up.”

“Don’t be a brat, Skylar.”

“Yeah, that’s my job,” Xander says, blowing Skylar a kiss.

Theo shakes his head, but laughs, and we all close our eyes.

The car slows and turns, gravel crunching under the weight of the wheels.

A rooster crows somewhere in the distance, which strikes me as odd since I thought they only did that in the morning.

My mind races at what the surprise could be, and it doesn’t help when Theo reminds us to keep our eyes closed as he gets out and shuts his door.

I’m so tempted to open my eyes, but I don’t want to spoil this for Theo, or myself.

One by one, he helps us all out and stands us by the car. The scent of country air fills my head, sending my mind on a wild ride of ideas from petting zoos to the thought that we’re being lined up for a firing squad.

“Okay, open them.”

None of us speak as we look around at a view that should be in a museum somewhere.

The two-story house has a charming look that would never work in the wilds of Los Angeles, but here in the French countryside, it’s perfect.

Butterflies flit around the garden in the back near a swing hanging from a tree branch, and row after row of grapevines grow as far as I can see.

The sound of a door opening has the three of us turning to find a radiant woman who looks to be a few years younger than me.

She’s got her dark hair swept up in the most carefree updo I’ve ever seen, the epitome of a French woman in my mind.

Her familiar eyes dart between us as one hand mindlessly rubs circles over her belly and the other holds onto the man next to her.

He’s tall and thin with a mustache and an outfit that reminds me of old Italian movies my mother would watch late at night when she couldn’t sleep.

Theo’s mouth drops open as he looks between the woman and me.

“Sylvie. Luca. This is Xander, Dani, and Skylar,” Marie introduces us since Theo’s forgotten how to speak. “This is Theo’s house, where he lived with his family once, and can now do it again.”

“I told you,” I say with a smirk to Theo, before I let out a scream and run over to them, throwing my arms around Sylvie’s neck while being careful not to squish her belly. Everyone else behind us exchanging hellos with Luca, and when they’re done, I scream again and switch to hugging him.

“Hey, hey. He’s spoken for,” Xander teases.

“Yeah, and I have the three of you, don’t I?”

They lead us into the house and everything smells amazing. A mixture of sweet baking that reminds me of Theo, and rich, savory flavors that have me salivating and craving the biggest dish of pasta ever.

“In the traditions of both the French and the Italian people,” Luca says once everyone gathers inside, pouring glasses of wine at a long table. “The best way to get to know one another is over delicious food and a good drink.”

“Oh fuck, I like those traditions.”

“You like food,” Skylar quips, pinching my ass.

“Yeah, and apparently, food is a tradition!” When I turn to say something to Xander, I find Theo trying to fight back sobs of joy as Xander holds him close, kissing his cheek and whispering. The sting in my eyes hits just as Skylar sniffles and pulls me closer before taking Theo’s hand.

“You built this home without judgement, left it abandoned in sadness, and allowed the echoes of love to dim in your absence. It welcomed your family before, Theo, a refuge from those that don’t understand, and it longs to be that for you once more.

To share your happiness and love in these walls.

” Marie says with tears in her eyes as she holds up a glass and looks around the room.

“Welcome to the family, and welcome home. All of you.”
