Hamish’s parties are pretty much ‘turn up when you feel like it’. I’m normally one of the first there, so I can chat with Hamish before he gets sidetracked by play. With any luck, he’s going to get one hell of a surprise tonight.
I’m chilling out in the lounge when Gabe arrives, later than normal. I’m alone. Not that I mind. There are a few other guys in here who I recognise from previous parties, but I’ve never been interested in playing with them before, and I’m not interested now. I arch an eyebrow when Gabe makes eye contact with me. He smirks. Good, Blake is here. I wonder if that means he’s brought his brothers with him, most specifically, Archie.
Gabe sits in the chair next to mine and crosses one leg over the other. “Harry is filling them in on all the rules.”
Them. Blake didn’t come alone.
“I’m surprised you’re not out there with them,” I say.
I know Gabe likes Blake too. Now we’re away from the studio and no one’s getting paid, I’m going to allow myself to pursue Blake. Will he end up choosing me or Gabe or one of the other Doms here tonight?
Gabe chuckles. “And give myself an unfair advantage? I’m a better sportsman than that.”
I snort. “You’re not a sportsman at all.”
“That’s not true. I used to run competitively, remember?”
“At school.”
Gabe glares at me. “Fine, it was a long time ago. Anyway, Blake isn’t a prize to be won.”
“Are you trying to make me feel guilty?”
“A little. Is it working?”
I smile. “No.”
As Gabe adjusts his trousers, I notice he’s only got two tags on his wristband—red and yellow. With the red tag, he’s identifying himself as a Dom. The yellow indicates he’s interested in playing. I have the same tags, plus a green one, which tells everyone I’m up for penetrative play or sex. I love the system Hamish came up with; it means there are no grey areas, and we can choose our play partners more easily. We’re free to change our minds about which tags we want to wear whenever we want. Will my open desire to go further be the thing that sets Gabe and me apart?
It’s not often that we fall for the same man, and I can’t think of a single time in the past when the same guy has shown interest in both of us. Being rivals is new territory. I wonder if I should feign disinterest in Blake and leave Gabe to it. The second the thought materialises in my head, I dismiss it. Iaminterested in Blake, and I don’t want to step aside.
“Here he is,” Gabe murmurs.
I look up as Blake and his brothers walk through the door. “Triplets,” I say, more in shock at how similar they are than because I feel any flicker of attraction to Blake’s brothers.
Their facial features and builds are literally identical. One of the young men is wearing glasses. Blake is the only one with a fake tan, and he also wears his hair floppy over his forehead, whereas his brothers have slicked theirs back with gel. Something about Blake sets him apart. Maybe it’s the sparkle in his eyes or the more confident way he’s holding himself.
They’re whispering among themselves, and I notice the brother with the glasses nudging Blake toward Gabe and me. Not that he comes over.
“I think they need a little encouragement,” I say, standing.
I glance at Gabe, but he stays where he is.
“You must be Blake’s brothers,” I say, approaching the triplets. I extend a hand to each of them. “Archie and Corey?”
“That’s us,” the triplet with glasses says. He doesn’t clarifywhichbrother he is.
“There’s no need for you all to stand there looking so nervous. Grab some food, sit and relax, and go and explore. Harry’s explained all the different rooms to you, hasn’t he?”
“Talk. Talk and play. Play. Fuck.” Blake says, pointing at each door in turn. He stares up at me, chin raised because I have a serious height advantage over him.
I laugh. “Good summary. I’ll have to remember that.”
I glance at the band on Blake’s wrist, smiling as I notice the three coloured loops attached to it. Blue means he’s a sub, which I already knew. The yellow and green bands tell me he’s open to playing and engaging in penetrative acts, hopefully with me.
I move my hand towards him but don’t touch him. His gaze dips to my hand and then rushes back up to meet mine. He nods, giving me permission. I put my hand on his hip, claiming him for the time being, at least.
