Page 2 of The Deception You Weave
I looked like a car crash even before Kane stormed his way inside here.
His eyes drop from mine in favor of my neck and chest.
"Fucking hell, Let. What did that motherfucker do to you?"
His grip on me tightens as his anger resurfaces.
"No, no, that's not—" I start but soon realize that I have no idea where I'm going with it.
"He did this." It's not a question. I guess it doesn't need to be. We both know the answer. "What's going on, Cupcake? Talk to me, please."
I swallow nervously as Leon attacks his bottom lip as he waits.
"I…" My eyes find his once more, before they drop to his lips again.
"Letty," Leon warns, clearly sensing where my thoughts are going.
I shift until I'm straddling him, and his eyes darken at my move.
"Make it go away," I mutter, crashing my lips to his.
"Letty, this isn't… we shouldn't… fuck," he mumbles against my lips as I pull the bottom one into my mouth and sink my teeth into it.
His hand lifts to my hair as he loses control, his tongue delving into my mouth to tangle with mine.
I focus everything on him, on every stroke of my tongue, on the roll of my hips as I grind against him. Everything else falls away until it's no longer consuming me, shattering me into a million pieces.
Desire surges through me as he matches my intensity move for move until suddenly, he's no longer there.
"What the—" I look up to find I've been deposited on the bed and Leon is pacing the small space of my room with his hands in his hair, a conflicted look on his face and a bulge in his jeans.
Coldness engulfs me and I pull my knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around them, suddenly very aware that I'm only wearing a tank and booty shorts.
"Lee?"
He stops at the sound of my voice this time and turns to look at me, his eyes sweeping over what he can see of my bruised body.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have…"
"No. It wasn't you. I'm sorry. I just…" I let out a long sigh.I just wanted it all to go away.
Commotion out in the living area has us both looking up before the door flies open and a panicked looking Luca fills the doorway.
"What's going on, I had a voicemail that said—" His eyes land on me. "Fuck."
I'm swept up into another pair of arms, but this time, I'm stronger and manage to rein in my emotions.
"I'm okay. It's okay."
He places me back on my feet and looks at my body.
"It's really fucking not. Look at you."
"I'm fine."
He lifts his hand and moves my hair away from my neck.
"Tell me it wasn't," he warns, his voice terrifyingly low.
