Page 100 of The Deception You Weave
"An empty parking lot," he corrects. "No one would see if I fucked you right here."
"Kane," I whimper as he curls his fingers and starts rubbing at the perfect spot. "Oh shit."
"But do you know what?" he whispers, his hot breath causing goose bumps to erupt over my entire body.
I shake my head, but the movement is so slight I'm surprised he even notices.
I gasp as he swiftly removes his fingers from me.
"I won't."
He moves back, runs his eyes down my body before lifting his fingers to his mouth and sucks on them.
A rush of heat floods my core as his eyes shutter as he tastes me.
Why the hell does he look so fucking dangerous doing that?
Because he knows full well how much it's turning you on right now.
"Come on then," he says abruptly, reaching for my hand and pulling me from the car to make our way to the diner entrance.
The parking lot might have been deserted, but inside the diner isn't and the second I see eyes on us my cheeks burn red hot knowing that they were probably watching.
I hang back slightly, hiding behind Kane.
"Hey," he snaps, pulling me beside him. "They're just jealous." His smirk shows just how proud he is of the fact they know exactly what he was doing to me against his car.
Asshole.
"I don't give a fuck if they are." I don't want them staring at me like that, like they're stripping me naked with their eyes.
The thought turns my stomach.
"Don't worry, Princess. They'll die before getting anywhere near you. I can promise you that."
"Kane, my boy," a soft female voice says as an older woman heads our way with a huge smile on her face.
She looks like the grandmother I always wished I had. The one who'll teach you to bake, make clothes for your dolls and let you get away with all the naughty things you never would with your parents. And she's looking at Kane like he is literally the light of her life.
Glancing at him, I see a similar fondness in his eyes and a soft smile that doesn't appear very often playing on his lips. The sight of it has something flitting inside my stomach and the desire for him to look at me like that is suddenly impossible to ignore.
"Oh, oh, oh." She stops dead in her tracks when she spots me beside Kane. "Scarlett Hunter, well, I never!"
My breath catches that she knows my name. I left the Creek years ago, why would she have any reason to know who I am?
"Uh… H-hi," I stutter. "H-have we meet before?" I ask, totally confused by all of this.
"A couple of times, but you were young," she says softly.
"I'm Hallie." She smiles. "Usual table, young man?"
"You got it, H."
She smiles at Kane again in a way I'm sure she would to a sweet young boy, not a vicious gang member who could probably squeeze the life out of her with one hand and without breaking a sweat.
With Kane's hand on the small of my back, we're led to a booth right in the back of the diner, cutting us off from all the other customers. I take a seat and expect him to slide in opposite me but to my shock, he drops down beside me.
My stomach flips but I'm not sure if it's with excitement or dread as his hot palm lands on my bare thigh.
