Page 119 of The Deception You Weave
His cock that was already growing against my belly, hardens even more.
"Tell me you're wearing panties."
"Hmm… I don't remember. I guess you'll have to find out."
His eyes hold mine for long, agonizing seconds as both our chests heave with desire.
"Get in the fucking car, Princess," he growls, his voice so deep that it's almost a warning.
His eyes darken further until they're terrifyingly black causing my insides to flip.
I knew I was playing with fire when I bought this dress, but fuck is it going to be worth it later.
Slipping from between him and the car, I drop down into the passenger seat, careful not to expose what I might or might not be wearing beneath.
After a couple of seconds, he lets out a long, pained sigh and slams the door on me, cutting off our connection and allowing my body to cool off, even if it is only for a few seconds while he stalks around the hood toward the driver's side.
He doesn't say a word as he starts the engine and backs out of the space.
"Where are we going?" I ask as the campus disappears into the distance behind us.
His grip on the wheel tightens before he glances over at me. My breath catches as I notice that wicked look is still in his eyes.
"Wait and see."
Reaching over, he places his hand on my thigh, his fingertips sneaking under the hem to caress my skin.
I fight to keep control of my breathing as he continues to torment me as we drive through town.
When he finally stops, it's on a street that's littered with restaurants of every kind you could possibly imagine. I look up and down, trying to guess which one he's taking me to.
Assuming he wants me to wait, I linger in my seat until he pulls the door open and holds his hand out to help me.
"Thank you, sir," I say seductively as I stand to my full height. He's so close that my breasts graze his chest making me gasp.
He doesn't miss my reaction to the innocent touch.
"Tonight is going to be fun, Princess," he promises.
With my hand clamped in his, he leads me toward a Greek restaurant. The scent of the food cooking inside hits me before he even opens the door and my stomach growls in anticipation.
"Good evening, Mr. Legend. Madame," the maître d’ says when we stop at his station.
I glance at Kane after hearing the man greet him by name but he doesn't return my attention, instead, he's too busy saying hello like he's just bumped into a long-lost friend.
"Adrian, this is Scarlett."
"Hi," I say awkwardly, wondering how Kane knows someone here quite so well when he's spent almost all his life in the Creek.
"I hope you're hungry," he says with a smile. "We serve the best food this side of Greece.”
"I can't wait," I say, hoping that I sound eager but mostly I'm just confused.
He leads us to a table in the back corner of the restaurant where we're mostly out of view from the other diners that are littered around the room.We get more than a few looks from the other tables, probably because I’m way too overdressed but I ignore all of them as we pass.
The restaurant is stunning, everything is light, the walls are exposed brick and there are lush green plants everywhere. It almost feels like we're on holiday not in the center of Maddison.
Adrian leaves us with some olives in the middle of the table and some kind of shot that Kane knocks back before the guy has barely stepped away from the table.
