Adonis and I were finally going on our firstofficialdate. We’d been spending time together at my place or his, and going out with his brother and Bre, but tonight it would just be us. Apollo was with his friend for the night, and Adonis took off work, so I planned a night for us totally to his dismay. He wanted to pay for everything all the time, but I insisted on him allowing me to plan tonight.

“Hurry, I’m ready to see how your outfit came together.”

Geri and I had gone out shopping and she helped me pick out something to wear tonight. She was trying to dress me like a streetwalker at first because she was picking out all of these super revealing outfits, but when I let her know I’d gotten tickets to the Aces game, she toned the prostitute down and helped mefind something that was actually decent enough to wear to the game.

It was so hard deciding what we were going to do, but once he said he’d never been to a game, it was a given, I was taking him to one. In high school, he was really good at the sport and wanted to actively pursue a career in it, but life got in the way and derailed those plans. That didn’t mean he couldn’t still enjoy theexperienceof an NBA game. My dad used to take me and Geri to all of the home games, and we loved it, so I wanted to let him experience the atmosphere too.

After getting my hair situated, I went back into my bedroom to finish getting dressed. I applied some body butter to my shoulders, arms, legs, and thighs before slipping into my outfit. It was something simple; black, leather shorts, and a black leather corset with my Black Cat Jordan 4’s. I decided to complement my outfit with the Chanel jewelry I had since I was carrying a black Chanel 22 Handbag.

I sprayed on some perfume and applied some gloss to my lips before hitting the FaceTime button on me and Geri’s call. She quickly answered, grinning in the camera as soon as the call connected.

“Okay, bitch!” she squealed. “You look the fuck good.”

“My shorts aren’t too short?” I asked after setting the phone up on the bathroom sink and stepping back. “My cheeks are hanging out just a little.”

“Hell no. They can actually be shorter.”

“Girl.” I laughed. “Seriously, how do I look?”

“I’d fuck if I were him.”

“Gerica!” I laughed. “What the hell?!”

“What?” she smiled big. “I would.”

“I hate you.”

“You could never hate me, sister. You look really good though, and happy. It looks great on you.”

I blushed, tucking some of my hair behind my ear. “Thank you, sis.”

“What time is he going to get there?” she asked just as I heard my alarm sound before being disarmed.

“He’s here now.”

“Okay, did you spray perfume on your ankles?”

My brows furrowed before I answered, “no.”

“You need to, sis. What if he has your legs in the air or around his neck like you dreamed about?”

As soon as the last word left her lips, Adonis was entering my room so I wanted to crawl under a rock and die knowing that he’d heard my stupid ass sister. I hurried to disconnect the call and gather myself.

“Hey,” I smiled. “I-you should have called me. I would have come out.”

“Then I wouldn’t have learned that you been dreaming about me.” He grinned and pulled me into a hug.

“I hate Gerica so much.” I shook my head in his chest then pulled back so I could kiss him. “I’m ready.”

“You look good, baby.” He stepped back and held one of my hands up encouraging me to do a spin. “Damn.”

I blushed before turning to grab my purse from the sink. “Thank you, baby.”

I scanned the bathroom counter to make sure that I had everything before allowing Adonis to lead me through the house then out to the car. He opened the door to help me inside before rounding the front to get in himself. Just like any other time we were in his car, he offered me his phone to play some music. I just chose a random hip-hop station and turned the volume down some because I’d rather talk to him than listen to music anyway.

“Was everything with Apollo good before you left?”

“Hell yeah. I told his lil’ ass he better not leave that fucking house tonight,” he chuckled. “I overheard them lil’ niggas talking about going to a party and shit.”
