“We can stop to get board games, pizza, and junk food before we get to your place. Call AP and tell him we have plans.”
“That lil’ nigga spends his Friday night in front of that fuckin’ video game.” I chuckled. “I doubt he gon’ wanna do board games.”
“Well, I can be quite convincing, so let me handle him,” she smiled. “If it’s okay, I’ll invite my sister and Cam too.”
“Let’s just kick it, me and you, tonight, maybe AP since he gon’ be in yo’ face anyway, then maybe set some shit up with everybody another weekend.”
She grinned. “Are you trying to keep me to yourself, Adonis Gates?”
“Damn right I am.”
I leaned down to kiss her lips then released her so that she could go get her things together. While she did, I sent a text to the guys at the shop to let them know that I wasn’t coming back, and for them to close and lock up for me.
After that, I checked in with Ziggy and Deek. They were meeting with their teams to distribute the product, so I wanted to make sure they had everything in line and let them know that I was going to be out the way tonight, but they could hit me any time if there was a problem.
Jru brought her fine ass down about fifteen minutes later, then we went out so I could make the proper introduction between her and Greg. He apologized for spooking her and promised to blend into the background when they were out so that she was comfortable. She seemed satisfied after talking with him, so I walked her to my Jeep and helped her inside before I got in myself and headed to the store.
We stopped at Total Marketplace first so she could get whatever games she wanted to play as well as some liquor. If I was going to be playing board games and shit, I was going to need it. After leaving the store, we went to Lombardi’s and got two pizza and wings then we headed to my crib. When we made it I followed behind her to the door and had her unlock it to let us in since I was carrying the food, games, and her big ass bag.
AP’s nosy ass immediately came from his room when he heard her voice.
“You movin’ in or somethin’?” he asked when I told him to take her bag to my room.
“No.” She giggled. “I just had to pack heavily since I know it’s all men’s stuff in here.”
“Oh, true,” he nodded. “We’ll make sure to start buying girl stuff for you and Bre when we go to the stores from now on.”
“Oh, Bre stays the night?” she looked between us but allowed her eyes to linger on mine the longest.
“Hell naw.” I laughed. “I don’t even know why he tried to throw that in there.”
“Oh, I see what you did.” She laughed at AP. “Good one.”
“Can’t blame a man for trying.” He chuckled.
“I want to shower first then we can eat and play.”
“Cool, me too.”
I got her set up in my bathroom while I took AP’s. I was shaking my head at myself the entire time I was in the shower because I’d never been so eager to be up under a woman, but Jru had a nigga out of my body and in a hurry to be in her presence.
Chapter Sixteen

“What does the acronym B.A.P. S stand for?” I read the question from the card that was in my hand.
“Man, you know we ain’t seen no fuckin’ B.A.P.S.” Adonis laughed.
“What? Why? That’s a classic!”
“Yeah, sis, that’s some female stuff.”
“Women.” I corrected him. “We’re women, Apollo.”
“That’s what a female is, right?”
“It’s not wrong,” I explained while smiling so he didn’t feel attacked. “But sometimes when people say female, it sounds… clinical. Like you’re talking about an animal or a biology chart instead of a person. Some women find it dismissive, like you’re stripping away the human part.”
