“Because, Adonis, it’s inappropriate,” she sighed. “Derrick is already fuming. The only reason I came over here is so you wouldn’t approach me out there and make it worse. Taking that money will definitely make it worse.”

“I don’t give a fuck about none of that honestly, but how would the nigga know the bread wasn’t already yours?”

“Because…” she paused briefly. “He just would.”

“He be on you like that?” I frowned. “I know his hoe ass always hoverin’, but the nigga watch ya bread and shit too?”

“I have to go.” She turned quickly and tried to go in the bathroom but I caught her wrist and pulled her back to me. “Adonis…”

“Here.” I forced the money into her hand. “I want you to go buy some nice shit for yourself, preferably some shit to wear on the date I’m gon’ take you on next weekend.” I grinned. “You know my favorite color is blue, but I love the way orange and yellow looks on you too, so it can be any of those.”

“What? No. Adonis… I can’t. Here.”

“I ain’t takin’ the shit back.” I stuffed my hands in my pockets. “Take the shit and go shoppin’ or I’m gon’ holla at Brock and ask why he ain’t chauffer yo’ ass to go do what I said.”

“You are insane.” She smiled beautifully. Shit made my fucking heart skip a beat. “I have to go.”

“Go ‘head.” I chucked my chin toward the bathroom. “Fine ass.”

She blushed then turned and entered the bathroom. I watched her the entire time before turning to go back to the court, but I ran into a barrage of hoes. They weren’t even tryingto get the fuck out of my way, so I frowned and asked their asses to move.

“Y’all gon’ get the fuck out my way or what?”

“Don,” the ring leader giggled like I was playing. She tried to touch me, but I knocked her hand down.

“Don’t touch me.”

She laughed awkwardly, probably embarrassed in front of her little clique.

“Don’t play, Don. I saw you looking at me from across the court earlier.”

“Oh, yeah,” I grinned. “I was tryna see what the fuck that was on ya face, but I see that was the homie Mo. He don’ got bigger.” I tapped the hairy mole on her face. “What’s good, playa?”

She swatted my hand away and covered the shit up causing me to laugh harder. Bonita was that bop in the hood that everybody had hit.

Except me.

I wasn’t a saint or no shit like that, and had hit my fair share, but none as eager as Bonita. In school she didn’t even look my way, and that was cool because I wouldn’t have fucked her with another nigga’s dick, but she thought I was beneath her. They always had jokes and shit, but as soon as I came up and got some money in my pocket, her and the rest of them hoes were on my sac. I gave their asses the same treatment they gave me all of those years ago.

Paid them no mind.

I wasn’t a trick anyway, and she was definitely the type to think that a nigga was gon’ pay for the pussy. Her shit had more miles on it than a ’95 Honda Accord, so she had me fucked up.

“You’re an asshole,” she spat and I shrugged.

“I been called worse.”

“Niggas love my mole thank you very much,” she rolled her eyes.

“Okay.” I snickered.

“Why do you play so hard to get with me, Don,” she stepped closer.

“Ain’t nobody playin’ with you. I don’t want yo’ ass. Not sure why that concept is so hard for you to grasp.”

“It’s hard because I don’t get turned down,” she chuckled. “Niggasdreamof being with a bitch like me. Just look at me…” She held her arms out. “You think I get niggas because Idon’tlook good?”

“I don’ seen niggas knock down more three’s than Steph Curry, hoe, humble yourself,” I shook my head. “You the easiest pussy to come out the citythat’swhy so many niggas don’ hit and definitely one of the main reasons I don’t want to. Now get yo’ ass out my way. I ain’t gon’ say the shit no more.”
