At some point a nigga must have dozed off because then next thing I knew, Jru was shaking a nigga awake telling me the movie was over. I immediately began looking around, checking my surroundings, and making sure my brother was still there.

This is why I need fucking security.

I can’t be slippin’ like this!

Most of my days started early as fuck and ended late as hell, so being idle and laying up with Jru had a nigga too fucking relaxed. That and the fact that we were watching a movie. I never made it through them shits. The night at her parent’s spot before she went out of town was the first time in a while and that was mainly because we talked throughout the shit. Tonight, she was tuned in as if she hadn’t ever seen the shit before.

“Why you let me fall asleep?” I asked, slowly sitting up, bringing her with me.

“I figured you needed it.” She smiled as she looked in my eyes. “I kept an eye on Apollo and his friend for you.”

“I hope he wasn’t on no bullshit.”

“He was fine.” She giggled, glancing his way. He and Bre had gotten up and started packing their stuff up. “You need to start getting more sleep, Adonis.”

I looked at her pretty ass and smiled. “How you figure I don’t?”

“Well for starters, you sounded like a chainsaw,” she said and we laughed. “I had to apologize to a few people on your behalf.”

“Cap. I was tired though. I guess the shit caught up to me.”

“Or you felt good cozied up in my arms.” She smirked and so did I.

“Definitely that.”

“Ay, we gon’ go throw this stuff away, Donny.” AP said when he approached.

“Aight, grab this too.” I gathered our trash and handed it to him.

“Thank you, Apollo.” Jru said softly.

I slid from the back of the truck then extended my hand so that I could help her down. As soon as she was on her feet, I closed her in my embrace, cupping her soft, plump ass just to see what she’d do. She didn’t move, only gave me that pretty ass smile as she stared into my eyes.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

“I meant to grab it while you were laid up on a nigga, but I fell asleep.” I smiled, giving it a squeeze.

“Don’t be mannish.” She gently nudged me away before she began to fold the blankets.

Once she was done, I grabbed the chairs that AP and Bre were sitting on, sliding them into the back before lifting the tailgate. I walked around to the passenger side where Jru was already inside the truck. I turned her to face me, positioning myself between her legs.

Wrapping my arms around her some, I asked, “why you open this door?”

“Was I supposed to stand out here and wait for you to finish?”

“Yeah,” I answered and she smiled.

“It’s just a door.”

“It’s the principle. You’re a queen. You not supposed to be opening ya own doors, driving, pulling out ya own chairs or none of that shit while you with ya man.”

Her smile grew wider as her brows lifted. “Oh, so, you’re my man?”

“If you agree to being my girl, I will be.”

“I—I don’t know about that.” She chuckled nervously. “Ijustgot out of a very toxic, draining relationship, so I don’t know if starting something new so quickly would be smart. Plus, I have some—personal stuff I’m dealing with…”

“All of that sounds like excuses to me.” I shrugged. “I don’t give a fuck about ya past, and I’m willing to go through whatever you’re dealing with, with you,” I confessed. “I’ve waited too long for this…” I pulled back some, taking her hands into mine. “For us. I don’t want to wait any longer.”
