Story: Mutual Obsession
It’s rare that I’m alone with Miles, and I miss the time we used to share when it was just the two of us in my bed. That was when he’d open up to me, showing his vulnerable side, andalthough I wouldn’t change what we have with Jake, I miss that time.
So today, while Jake has a whole day of meetings planned with his father, Miles has agreed to hang out with me. I don’t have to go into work, so we can go out and just spend time with each other.
Although we’ve discussed a lot of our issues from the past, we’ve never spoken about it in detail, just the two of us. I guess my insecurities need to make sure he’s forgiven me, and that he really means it when he says he trusts me.
Once Jake has left for work, grumbling about missing out on spending the day with us, I turn to Miles with a big smile on my face. I’m so excited, I’m practically bouncing where I stand.
I watch as Miles takes in my eager state, trying his hardest not to smile. I catch the way his gaze rakes over the light-blue sundress I’m wearing. It scoops low enough on the neckline to show off a decent amount of cleavage, held up by the tiniest spaghetti straps.
The dress is tight along the curves of my body, showing off the shape of my waist, before flaring out just a little over my hips. The hem stops a few inches above my knees, and the small heel I’m wearing makes my exposed legs seem longer.
The light-blue colour of the dress, along with the thin material, and the way the fabric clings to me, leaves no doubt I’m not wearing a bra underneath. My pebbled nipples are straining against the soft fabric, having hardened thanks to the feel of the material rubbing against them.
I reluctantly pulled on a matching blue lace thong, opting for that as it would show the least amount of lines underneath. I considered going without completely, but knowing how much Miles affects me, I decided against it.
“You look…beautiful,” Miles says, his eyes flaring with heat.
I bite my lower lip to keep from grinning too much, but I know he can see how pleased I am with his compliment. “You didn’t sound sure.” Even though I know he means it, the slight pause allowed my self-doubt to creep in.
Miles walks towards me, my breath hitching at his intense stare. He stops right in front of me, so close I can feel his breath against my lips. He places his hand on my cheek, and I can’t help but lean in to his touch.
His lips next to my ear sends a shiver down my spine as he presses a kiss to my neck. “I paused because I wanted to find the right word, but then I realised there’s no word in existence to describe how fucking gorgeous you are.”
I can’t help it, I fucking melt on hearing his words. That’s it, I’m dead. I can die happy now after hearing that.
Miles presses a soft kiss against my lips, pulling back before I get the chance to deepen it. “What shall we do today?” he asks.
I had a whole day planned, but as soon as he asks, all I can think about is dragging him back into the bedroom and letting him have his way with me for the entire day.
Miles must be able to see my internal debate as he chuckles, stroking his thumb along my cheek. “Let me rephrase the question. What shall we do today that involves going outside?”
I scowl at him for ruining my new plans, but he just chuckles. With a huff, I revert back to my original idea, pushing the other plan away to revisit again later. “I was thinking we could see a movie, and then maybe go for some lunch?”
I shuffle nervously in front of him, wondering if he’ll remember the significance of the day I’ve planned. When his signature smirk lifts into a smile, my nerves fizzle.
“Just like our first date,” he says.
I nod, breathing a sigh of relief that he remembered. Although the night at the bar will always be our meet-cute moment, the date we went on the next night will forever bespecial to me, as it’s the moment I realised I wanted to break all of my rules for Miles.
Miles drops his hand from my cheek and reaches down to lace his fingers with mine, pulling me towards the door. I let him go ahead of me, giving me a moment to admire his arse in the tight black jeans he’s wearing.
I’m so used to seeing Miles in a suit, looking every bit the gorgeous professional that he is, but there’s no denying his casual look gets me running hot, too.
The dark jeans cling to him in all the right places, emphasising his sexy arse and thighs—hence why I held back to get a good look. He’s paired them with a dark grey T-shirt that stretches over his biceps, showing off all of his rippling muscles.
Although Miles is more lean than a typical bodyguard, he’s got muscles and hard lines in all the right places, and the tightness of his shirt emphasises them perfectly.
When he throws his leather jacket over the top, I thought I’d mourn the loss of his muscular arms, but it seems to complete his look, matching his biker boots in a way that makes him look every bit as dangerous as he is.
I know I’m staring, and it’s a small miracle I’m not drooling, but I’m just about managing to hold myself together—until Miles turns around and catches me staring. The knowing glint in his eyes, along with his growing smirk, has my cheeks heating with embarrassment.
“Do you see something you like, Gorgeous Girl?” he asks, his voice deep and gravelly.
I nod slowly, my reply coming out far more breathy than I intended. “Yes. You.”
He pulls on the hand, dragging me forward until my body slams against his, and he wraps his free arm around my waist. He captures my mouth with a searing kiss before pulling away far too soon.
“If you keep looking at me like that, I’m going to fuck you right here against the wall, and we’ll never leave. So, be a good girl and we can go on our date,” he tells me, slapping my arse for effect.
