Story: Mutual Obsession

“I like you, Jake, but you have to sort out this thing with Miles. I still love him, and that won’t ever change for me. I’m very open to the idea of sharing, but I won’t ever choose between you. So, if we do this, you have to go into it knowing I’ll be with Miles too, if he ever forgives me.”

I try to be as honest with him as I can, because if we stand any chance of this thing between us working, communication will be the key. That and a fuck load of forgiveness.

Jake nods, though there’s a shyness about him as he looks up at me through hooded lashes, his grip on my hips tightening almost possessively. “Would you leave me for him if he asked?”

I don’t even have to think about it, I shake my head straight away. “No. We’ve grown close over the last couple of weeks, and you’ve been there for me in ways I never expected. You mean a lot to me, Jake, and that won’t change.

“I can’t ever get back what I had with Miles, and that’s something I’ll have to live with, but I think we could find a new normal moving forward… Hopefully, with all three of us. If you and Miles decide not to be together, I understand that, but I still won’t choose between you.”

Jake rocks his hips, letting me feel just how much he approves of that idea, pulling a moan from my lips.

“If the new normal involves your hot little body pressed against me like this, I’m all fucking in,” he growls, pulling me down for another kiss.

Just like before, as soon as our lips meet, we lose ourselves in each other. Kissing, nipping, tasting… I roll my hips as Jake rocks against me, rubbing his hard length against my core in the perfect way, making me moan into his mouth.

We’re both so lost in each other, I almost fall off Jake’s lap in shock when a voice from the other side of the room startles us, forcing us to spring apart like teenagers who have been caught by their parents.

Miles is leaning against the doorframe, his eyes dark and sexy as he stares at us, looking like sin incarnate. His voice is deep and gravelly, dripping with sex when he says, “Looks like the party started without me.”

If I hadn’t been lurking in the shadows, listening to their conversation, and had just walked in to find Indie and Jake together, kissing on the sofa, I’m not sure how I would have felt. But hearing them talk about me, discussing that nothing can happen between them without me, it sends me into a tailspin.

While my mind is replaying their words, listening to Indie say she won’t choose but she will share, my body reacts to the scene before me. Watching Indie grind against Jake as he holds her in place, while he devours her, has me hard as a rock.

For a while, I just watch and listen, trying to decide what to do. Part of me wonders if I should walk away and let them have this moment, but the possessive side of me can’t do that. So, I decide to make my presence known.

They jump apart, looking startled. Indie almost falls on her arse, but Jacob guides her to find her feet. As soon as she’s safe, he tries to discreetly adjust the tent in his trousers.

Indie’s eyes are wide and panicked. “Miles, it’s not what you think. I mean, it is a bit, but… I mean, fuck, there’s more to it as well,” she stutters, her words rushing out frantically.

My gaze flicks between them, and while Indie looks to be both panicked and shocked, Jake has a mischievous grin on his face, letting me know he has zero regrets.

I raise a brow at him in a challenge, and his eyes light up as he chuckles. Indie turns to glare at him. “Why the hell are you laughing right now?” she snaps furiously.

“I’m laughing because if this bothered Miles, he’d have shouted, punched me, or left by now. Instead, he’s standing there with a rock hard dick and fire in his eyes,” he replies smugly.

All at once, every pair of eyes in the room drops to my crotch, myself included, and Indie gasps slightly when she realises Jake was right. She looks up at me, hope shining in her emerald-green gaze as she takes a hesitant step towards me.

“Miles…” My name sounds like a prayer from her lips, like she’s pleading with me, asking for something I’m not sure I can give.

“Stop,” I demand, using a tone that leaves no room for arguments.

I have to bite the inside of my cheek when they both freeze. I knew Indie would do as she was told, but I’m shocked to see Jacob did, too.

Indie looks like she’s about to say something, but I fix her with a stare that makes it clear she needs to remain silent, so she does. “Indie, sit on his lap again like you were before I interrupted you,” I say firmly, trying to keep any emotion out of my voice.

Indie’s eyes widen in shock, and when she doesn’t move, I give her a look she hasn’t seen in several years, but it’s one she hasn’t forgotten. She quickly pushes Jake back down onto the sofa, and before he can let out his startled yelp, she climbs onto his lap.

“I clearly interrupted something before, so feel free to carry on,” I tell them both with a wave of my hand, as I move to take a seat.

There’s a large armchair to the side of the couch, and when I’ve turned it around slightly, I have the perfect view.

Although Jake puts his hands back on Indie’s hips to hold her in place, he doesn’t do anything more, and neither does Indie. It’s clear they’re going to need a little more instruction.

“Dee, were you enjoying kissing him?” I ask, ignoring how easily I swapped to her old name. She was lucky to have been born Indianna, as there are a lot of nickname variations she can use without changing her name.

Indie nods quickly, her small voice not inline with the enthusiasm her body is giving off. “Yes.”

“If I hadn’t interrupted, would you still be kissing?”
