“It’s alright.” She waved a hand before slipping her hand back underneath my tank top strap. “You have good shoulders.”
I grinned. “That’s a compliment I’ve never heard before.”
“Now I’ll say it all the time.” She traced her hand up my bicep. “You have nice muscles, nice arms, a nice neck—gosh, I love your neck.” Her cool fingers pressed against my neck, where my tattoo was. “When did you get this?”
“Around two years ago.”
She raised an eyebrow. “Before you turned eighteen?”
“Shush.” I pressed a finger to my mouth. “I had my mom’s permission. It was when I’d finally slipped out of my depression and wanted something that represented my freedom. You can’t see it, but I have a sky and beach on my back. I got that around the time we formed Somewhere in the Sky.”
“I love it.” She planted a kiss on my neck, and my skin buzzed with electricity. “I love every part of you.”
I took the guitar off, not wanting any space between us. “And I love every part of you. Your hair, your smile, your lips, your?—”
“Bra straps.”
I rolled my eyes. “That’s not part of your body.”
She gave me a teasing grin. “It’s meant for a part.”
I walked right into that one. “You have nice shoulders.”
She giggled, a sound that never failed to make my skin tingle. “Why, thank you.”
Unable to keep this game up, I pulled her mouth to mine. She scooted closer until our chests touched, her shallow breathing matching mine. My hands traveled to her shoulders, touching her tank top straps again. She did have nice shoulders—strong and smooth. When her bra strap slipped out, I pulled it back under her shirt.
Her hands slid down my ribcage until they went to my waist. I let out a deep moan, one that made her giggle against my lips. I laughed too, realizing how ridiculous I probably sounded whenever I did that. She made me ridiculous. She made me lose my mind whenever she touched me, leaving sparks of electricity in her path.
She leaned on me, balling my shirt into her fists. I lay myself on the blanket, and she followed, gently covering my body with hers. It was like our kiss on the couch backstage, only with a lot more heat. Maybe it was the sun beating down on us, maybe it was the almost hundred-degree temperature, but I was burning up.
Sienna’s lips traveled around my face until they reached my neck. I let out another groan, my veins throbbing from the touch. It probably looked like we were tackling each other (or doing worse things than kissing), but I didn’t care about what peoplewere doing around us. Right now, no one else existed but the most beautiful girl in the world.
Whenever my lips parted from hers, they were almost static. My mind raced a mile a minute, unable to believe that this was real. I had the girl from my dreams right on top of me, embracing me with her slow kisses. It was like when I’d first got my record deal in Charm Street, unable to believe my dream was coming true.
Only this was so much better.
“You really do have nice shoulders,” I murmured against Sienna’s lips as I sat up again, wrapping my hands around her waist. “And you have nice hands, a nice waist, and nice legs. Everything about you is nice. I’m obsessed.”
“I’m obsessed with you,” she breathed. “Every last part.”
“Good.” One of my hands traveled to her soft hair, and I tangled my fingers into it until my wrist hurt. “No, perfect.”
I didn’t want to call it love unless it really was, but looking in those amber eyes, I knew that I couldn’t go back to living without Sienna.
And I’d do whatever it took to make sure I wouldn’t lose her.
CHAPTER 34
Sienna
Ihad a chance to get more information about Mercury Heights out of Gavin, and I’d completely blown it.
On Thursday, before our gig at What Do You Bean, I decided to go shopping for a cute outfit to wear for Somewhere in the Sky’s gig at Moonlight Lounge. It’d been a hot minute since I’d gone on a shopping spree, trying to save money for fashion school, and I missed it.
After picking a few outfits from Stylebrite, I went into the next department store. When I wandered into the bra section, blood rushed to my cheeks as I remembered the feeling of Gavin’s fingers underneath my straps. Would it take things too far to buy a nice bra for him? It wasn’t like he’d see more than the straps. Unless maybe I wore one of those sheer tops . . .
I took a pink leopard-print bra off the shelf. Okay, not a bad start. I put it into my basket and shifted to the side to look for another one when I collided with the person next to me.
