“I can’t get this splint wet,” I frowned.
“Keep your hand above water. Come on, I want to see you in a bikini,” he put his hands on my hips and my heart pounded. My mouth turned dry and my hands shook violently. I was stuck somewhere between a panic attack and being turned on.
Lennox placed a quick kiss on my cheek then backed off. My blood pressure returned to normal and I kicked myself once again for freezing up so much. That was the sole reason Lennox was being forced elsewhere.
Determined to loosen up, I went into the bedroom to find a bikini like Lennox asked. I dug through my drawers with my good hand and when I couldn’t find the pink bikini I knew I packed, I looked in Lennox’s drawer. Maybe it got tossed in there by accident.
I didn’t find my pink bikini in there but what I found made my heart knock against my chest so hard, I was certain it would break through and leave blood and bone in its path. I pulled out a slim, black gift bag that had been covered with clothes. I wasn’t one to snoop but Lennox had been running around with some other woman and I was dying for details.
Details that I knew would shatter me.
I didn’t care though.
Everything inside of me screamed for me to open the bag and see what was inside. I had no idea if the gift was for Margot or me but I was about to find out. I looked over my shoulder to make sure Lennox wasn’t coming then I reached my hand in the bag.
I pulled out a small metal flask with a note attached to it. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that it was Lennox’s handwriting. The note read:
Margot,
A little something to get you through the night.
Lennox
My hand shook as I slipped the flask back inside the matte black bag.
“Did you find your bikini?” Lennox said from behind me. My shoulders jerked up to my ears and I spun around shoving the drawer shut.
“Um. No. I must have lost it.”
“It’s not in my drawer,” he frowned, folding his arms across his chest. I flashed a smile trying to feign innocence but he knew better. “It’s just a parting gift, Sutton. Margot likes Hennessy.”
“That’s nice,” I huffed, tipping my nose in the air.
“We’re friends,” he said.
“You and Margot are friends. Why can’t I meet her then? Why don’t we all have dinner together?”
“Sutton, you’re doing too much. Find a bathing suit and let’s go hit the beach before it gets too crowded.”
“Or before your friend shows up, right?”
Lennox stared at me for a few beats then he leaned against the doorframe and said, “Are you done now?”
“I wasn’t being dramatic if that’s what you’re implying.” I turned and walked over to the closet where I pulled out my pink bikini without really looking for it. It seemed to have jumped into my hand.
“I didn’t say you were being dramatic, I just asked if you were done.” Lennox walked all the way into the bedroom and started changing into his swim trunks. I was getting ready to say something smart back to him but he took his shirt off and I lost my train of thought.
“You’re so riled up. It’s cute seeing you be jealous,” he smirked at me and my cheeks burned red hot.
“It’s not cute. It’s also not cute that you’re hanging out with another woman while I’m in bed sleep. You shouldn’t be doing that.”
“I shouldn’t?” He pushed his pajama pants down his legs and stood there naked. Totally naked with his intricate tattoos, chocolate skin and big dick staring back at me.
“No,” I said with a little less gusto.
“Who should I be spending my nights with?” He was in front of me before I could answer him. His hands were on my waist and I was pressed against his rapidly stiffening dick.
My temperature skyrocketed.
