“There will be a ton of details to go into if we decide to work with you. We’d need to know transport schedules, who we work with, modes of transportation, and who is on either end of the pipeline.

We don’t blindly work with people we don’t know.

That gets you prison or death. I gotta say, you’ve stunned and impressed me.

I’ve got to ask, how the hell did Attila stumble on this while locked up?

Or was it something he had going before his ass was thrown in prison?

” Bull asked. His tone made it sound like he truly admired Attila.

“I was shocked that he went down for raping that girl. I thought for sure he’d get off,” Demon slipped in.

“Me, too. That DA pulled out all the stops on Attila’s trial. He must’ve celebrated for a week after putting such a big guy like him away. It boosted the hell out of his career,” I added.

“If you agree to join us, we’ll go through all the details, but not yet.

As for Attila, he had already set this in motion before getting arrested and tried for rape.

That DA wants to bring all the MCs he can down.

We’ve heard he’s going after more. Or I should say, his attack dog is,” Zombie sneered.

“Attack dog?” Payne asked.

“Yeah, it’s not the DA who has the power and smarts to do it. He wants everyone to think he is, but it’s his star prosecutor who gets them such high conviction rates. She digs and doesn’t stop,” Zombie snarled.

Not wanting to spoil it by saying something I shouldn’t, I let my club brothers do the talking.

“But I heard somewhere that Attila might get his trial conviction overturned as a mistrial. If that happens, then he’s a free man, and it’ll mar their image.

That prosecutor who’s such a pit bull might not sit still for that.

Or she’ll dig to prevent him from going free,” Demon mused aloud.

He sounded like he was verbalizing what was going through his head.

“She’s trying, but their key witness is recanting her story,” Zombie confirmed what Brae had already told me.

“How do you know she will? People change their minds all the time,” Iceman reminded him.

“Because if she doesn’t, she’ll regret it. We know where she and her long-lost sister live. They don’t want a visit one night from us. If we have to do it, they’ll wish we killed them,” Junkyard snickered.

Hearing that, my blood pressure climbed, but I held onto my tongue and temper. Please, God, let them tell us something useful.

“The prosecutor, if she’s such a pit bull, what’s to stop her from finding something new to go after Atilla with? She could become the bane of his existence,” Bull said.

The Rebels exchanged cold smiles. I thought they wouldn’t say anything more, making me want to beat it out of them. However, Red was the one to blurt out what we long suspected.

“But she’s not gonna be a problem for long. Pres had us put a hit out on her. She’s a dead woman and doesn’t know it.”

“You mean a professional hit, not one of you or someone from your other chapters? I would’ve thought he’d ask his brothers to do it,” Payne said, appearing puzzled. “I know if it were Bull, nothing would keep the bitch safe from me,” he growled.

The rest of us grumbled in agreement. Even I did.

“No, you don’t get it. Atilla is smart. He sees things from a big picture standpoint.

If she were to die, where do you think they’d go first?

Diving into her trials, and they’ll start with her newest. He was convicted about a year ago.

He made some threats to her in open court.

He’ll be a prime suspect. He ensured that it couldn’t be traced to him by taking this approach and posting it on the dark web.

They can suspect all they want. The bitch thinks she can hide from us, but we’ll get her,” Nutcase growled.

“That is smart. Any clue where she’s hiding? Surely, she has to come out for work,” I slid in.

“She had a guy who was hired to protect her. The DA has one, too. She’s slippery. We’ve got our people tearing through her life. They’ll find her and whoever is helping her to hide, and that bodyguard is dead when they find her,” Zombie snapped.

“I’d like to talk to Attila about how he found this person. I can think of an instance or two where using a gun for hire would’ve been better,” Bull told Zombie.

“It wasn’t Attila who found the guy. Oh, he came up with the idea, but I was the one who brought him in to do the job.

He’s a guy I knew years ago. We’d lost track of each other.

When I saw his online name, I knew it had to be him, so I reached out, and that was it.

He’s always willing to do whatever you need if the price is right.

We become partners, and maybe I’ll share his name with you,” Nutcase smirked.

And just like that, he sealed his fate. I would get the information from him. Iceman would deal with his dad. My brothers would work over the others and get the information on the man or men on either end of the line, the masterminds behind this. We’d work to bring them and their associates down.

Abruptly, Bull rose to his feet. “You’ve given me a lot to think about.

I’ll go back and talk this over with my club.

We’re always open to making more money and have extensive transportation routes.

The world thinks we’re clean. They don’t know about the weapons and other shit we sell.

We use all our legitimate businesses to launder the money.

It takes work and can be tricky, but it works.

It’s been a pleasure . You have no idea how glad I am that we came here, or that you suggested we come out here to talk. ”

Bull held his hand out to Zombie, who’d come to his feet along with most of the other Rebels.

As the Rebels’ VP grasped our president's hand, Bull yanked hard, making Zombie stumble toward him.

The rest of us were on the move. We each grabbed a prisoner.

We turned them so they were facing their other brothers.

Each Warrior held a gun to the head of his captive.

It took them a beat or two to understand what had happened, and the same for the men in our arms. Once they did, they were all yelling as the free ones fumbled to get to their guns.

“If you don’t want to see their brains splattered all over the ground, I’d leave your guns where they are. If you think I’m joking or lying, try me,” Bull growled.

His tone was low, mean, and entirely believable. He wasn’t fucking around. As I knew he would, Payne had taken Nutcase. The fury written on that man’s face told it all. He would give anything to kill our enforcer.

“Do as he says, for now,” Zombie ordered.

They slowly put up their hands.

“You’ll never get out of here. We have you outnumbered.

And you can’t keep us under control and get on your bikes at the same time.

You sure the hell can’t transport us. So what’s your move?

Do you think that if you get rid of us, you’ll take over the whole organ business?

It won’t happen. The man in charge won’t work with anyone but Attila.

We could’ve made you rich. Instead, you, all your brothers, women, children, and families will die,” Zombie snarled at Bull.

“You’re right. The five of us can’t get out of here with all of you, or transport you on our bikes.

But we don’t need to. See, we knew you’d most likely take us somewhere private.

And we knew you’d never stick to just five men.

So we didn’t either. As soon as you were on the move, so were they.

Are you ready, Maverick? Jinx?” he yelled.

“Ready when you are, Bull,” Maverick answered from the darkness, then he stepped into the light. Right behind him came Jinx.

He wore a massive grin as he said, “I always have so much fun when we hang out, Bull.”

From the darkness crept more men until we stood fifteen to their ten. The looks of disbelief would’ve been comical in other circumstances.

“I thought you searched them for weapons before you brought them here? That was the plan,” Junkyard snarled at his VP.

“We did, and they were clean. I checked them personally. And we removed the guns they had in their bags on their bikes,” Nutcase snapped.

“You did. Again, expected. What you didn’t do was search for hidden compartments and hidey-holes under the seat and frames where we hid our backup guns.

While we were riding along, slipping them out and into our cuts and waistbands wasn’t hard.

You would have no reason to check us twice,” Payne told him.

“I can’t wait to kill you,” Nutcase barked.

Payne threw back his head, laughed loudly, then said, “He’s the one I want. We’ll bring him for sure. He’ll be fun to break.”

“Okay, I call Zombie,” Bull stated.

“I think we need the one who didn’t say a word. He makes me antsy. I call Tusk,” Demon added.

“I’m taking Dago,” I told them.

“I say let’s roll the dice and bring Nasty.” Iceman chose his man.

“What do you propose to do with us? Hold us hostage and use us to get your hands on the organ operation? It’ll never happen. Attila would never agree to it. You’re better off letting us go and begging for mercy,” Zombie spat out.

“Oh, we’ll get what we want, though taking over that business isn’t it,” Bull informed him.

“Then what is?” Nutcase asked.

“It’s putting a stop to it, bringing down the whole operation, making sure Attila doesn’t get out of prison or run it from his cell, and removing the hit placed on the DA’s lead prosecutor,” Demon rattled off.

“Why the fuck would you care about any of that?” Nasty asked.

“You’ll see. I’m ready to go,” Bull said.

The five Rebels we weren’t taking with us never saw it coming.

It wasn’t bullets that ended their lives.

It was the smooth moves of Sarge, Jinx, Mad Dog, Maverick, and Stalker as they came up behind them and snapped their necks.

They let them fall to the ground. The mutters of astonishment and fear from the remaining Rebels made me smile. They hadn’t seen anything yet.
