“Okay, I get that, and since he had no prior connection to them, it was easy to hide. I wonder if they know his son is part of the Warriors? Why would Nelson work so hard to become part of Iceman’s life?

He should know it would never happen after what he did to Iceman and his mom.

Is it personal, or does it have something to do with the Rebels?

If it’s the latter, surely he knows we wouldn’t be a part of anything they do,” I stated.

“I don’t know, and I agree that it could be a separate thing, and the Brutal Rebels know nothing about Iceman. The only way we’ll get answers is to pick up Nelson and ask,” Demon said, smirking.

“Did you find an answer to that? Or the identity of who would’ve been shooting at Brae?” Rage asked Shadow.

“I’m sorry, but I have no idea why Nelson is so keen to be a part of Iceman’s life.

As for who shot at her, I don’t have an answer for that.

The area they were hit in was perfect. It was far enough out that there were no cameras to monitor the surroundings.

However, to shoot that distance and hit the SUV so close to Brae and those moving bikes and vehicles, the person had long-distance shooting experience.

He was no amateur. It smacks of possible military training.

I wish I had more, Pres, but that’s all I’ve got now. ”

“Shadow, there’s no need to apologize. You keep working it along with Crusher and Outlaw. I say we deal with what we have. Nelson needs to be picked up and interrogated. Assuming he’s back in Tennessee…” Wrath paused as he glanced at Shadow, who nodded.

“Then, it’s clear. Go to Tennessee, grab Nelson, and ask his ass questions about his involvement with Attila. In the meantime, our tech guys keep trying to find the identity of who is trying to kill Braelyn and if there’s more than one. Bull, do you agree with this plan?” Wrath asked.

“I agree. And since he’s in our territory and unfortunately connected to our club, I suggest we handle it. We need to go home anyway. We’ll pick him up, get the answers we can, and then update you. Loki, will Braelyn be coming with us or staying here?” Bull asked.

I had to look at her since we hadn’t gotten that far. I was afraid to hear her answer. Braelyn gave me a tender smile over her right shoulder.

“If he’ll have me, I’d like to return with Loki to Hunters Creek. It’s not that I don’t love you guys, but I should be with my old man. And who knows, I might come in handy with the whole Nelson Newman thing.”

I hugged her tighter as I answered, “Spellbinder, there’s nowhere I want you more. Yes, come home with me. You know I always want you as close as possible.”

There were snickers and playful teasing at my remarks, but I didn’t care. All I gave a damn about was that my woman was coming home and the kiss she laid on me after I said it.

It was Tuesday afternoon. We stayed the night with the Pagans in Lake Oconee and got an early start this morning after packing more items for Braelyn to bring.

When she left two weeks ago, she’d taken everything she had brought to Hunters Creek back to Georgia.

While with them, more of her belongings had been smuggled out of her apartment and over to their compound.

We boxed them up and brought them all with us.

There was no way I’d have her out in the open on my bike, although I wanted her on the back of it badly.

Instead, she was placed in a vehicle, just as she had been last time, and we exited through the back entrance.

We followed the same method as last time, only meeting at a different meeting spot.

Since we had all ridden bikes there, Dylan drove her back to our compound, and Chaos accompanied us.

They didn’t want their prospect driving back alone, which was smart.

Chaos and Dylan hadn’t stayed long. They wanted to return before dark, so it was a quick turnaround. I did watch as Brae and Chaos hugged and whispered to each other. I was still slightly envious of their closeness, but kept my mouth shut.

I knew that even though Braelyn accepted me back, I’d lost ground with her. I would do everything in my power to regain it and add more. When I was done, she would be completely intertwined with me and have no doubt I had her back, hid nothing, and was her best friend, lover, and protector.

Bull called church to update the rest of the club on what we discovered.

We were gathered and waiting. I knew that Bull had a private word with Iceman before the meeting.

Based on the expression on his face, Iceman knew what Bull was about to announce.

I tried to convey understanding in his direction.

His face was grim, and his eyes were filled with fire.

I pitied Nelson Newman when we got our hands on him.

If he expected his son to protect him, he was wrong.

“I’ll get straight to the point. While we were in Georgia last night, we discovered some disturbing information. I already spoke to the person here most connected to this. I ask you to remain silent until I’m finished explaining,” Bull told my brothers.

This remark had them exchanging puzzled, worried, and intrigued looks. They looked at those of us who went, but we kept our faces blank. Bull had asked us not to mention it ahead of time to any of them.

“It seems that Braelyn’s issue has crossed over to us. Let me explain.”

Bull went into the whole spiel about how she and I ran into Nelson in Georgia, and then the association Shadow found between him and members of the Brutal Rebels MC and Attila.

By the time he had it laid out, there were very unhappy faces and a lot of muttering happening around the table.

Bull gave them a minute to get it out of their systems before he gestured for quiet.

“As you can imagine, this isn’t good news. I informed Iceman ahead of church what this entailed,” Bull further explained.

“So, what do you want us to do? Let Iceman go beat the truth out of his dad, or we bring him here and handle it?” Predator asked.

This comment put an evil smile on Iceman’s face. “I’d love nothing more than to do it myself, but I believe Bull has a different idea. As long as I get a piece of him and he’s not left ever to hurt anyone again, I’ll take it.”

“Believe me, he won’t be left to do anything harmful again.

You’ve shown considerable restraint with the bullshit of his being released, let alone ahead of time.

And then to have him popping up here and there acting as if it was accidental, would have driven me to hurt him long ago,” Payne acknowledged.

“That’s what we’re here to vote on. While I think I know our answer, we still have to agree as a club that questioning Nelson is warranted, and afterward, we ensure he’s a bad memory to our brother.

If he’s up to something with Atilla and the Brutal Rebels, which, what else could it be, then he’s doubly earned his fate.

The court should’ve never let him walk free for what he did to Iceman and his mom.

This is our chance to right a huge wrong.

All those in favor of finding Nelson and discovering what he knows so we can dispense justice for Iceman and hopefully protect Loki’s old lady, raise your hand.

It’s a majority vote only decision,” Bull announced.

Scanning the table, I watched as hand after hand went up.

By the time I’d searched the whole table, there wasn’t a single hand not raised.

I knew we’d pass it without difficulty, but in a case like this, Bull still let democracy decide.

With that out of the way, it was time to find and bring the weasel to us. I hoped we didn’t have to wait long.
