“Bottles of water would be good. We don’t like to drink while we talk business. After we’re through, there might be reason to celebrate,” Bull informed him.

Zombie put his hand in the air and let out a loud whistle. A different waitress from the one who’d waited on us came rushing over.

“What can I get you guys?”

“For now, our guests want bottles of water. As for us, more beer. And you can give me something else after this is through, Luna.” Zombie smirked. His tone clearly indicated he meant sex.

Even though she fought to control it, I saw the slight shudder that ran through her.

Her face was calm, but her rigid body told me the thought of doing anything with Zombie was revolting.

When we left, we had to ensure he or any of his brothers didn’t lay a hand on her.

Holding my hand down at my side, I signaled to whichever Marauder watched to take care of her.

Why I had such a deep reaction to her, I didn’t know.

Maybe it was the ingrained protectiveness we had for women and kids.

“Damn, VP, she’s fucking fine. I want me a piece of that when you’re done,” Hawg said.

Zombie sneered at him. “You know the rules. No touching until I’m done unless I decide to share. I have a feeling she’ll take a while to get tired of, so you’ll have to be patient.”

“Are we here to talk business or listen to you figure out how to get your cocks wet? If it’s the last one, we’ll leave you to it,” Iceman said acidly.

This remark brought all the Rebels’ attention to him. Iceman gave them an unconcerned look with a raised eyebrow. He had his arms crossed over his chest, making his biceps appear even bigger, not that they needed the help.

“No need to get hasty. We’re done. You’re Nelson’s boy.

He told us his son was in a club. We could hardly believe it.

Your old man is the reason you’re at this table.

He assured us that your club would jump all over this opportunity and would be easy to work with.

We don’t need hiccups in our schedules,” Zombie stated.

“You’ll have to forgive me, but my dad and I haven’t had a relationship in years. Are you aware of why he was in prison?” Iceman asked.

“We are. And we’re sorry that it happened.

Our guys inside say that he’s felt a lot of remorse for what he did and has wanted nothing more than to make it up to you.

When Nelson got out, he became a liaison, if you will, with our president.

He’s in a different prison from where your dad and our other brothers are.

You can understand that having his club brothers constantly visiting would raise eyebrows—something we don’t want.

“When he learned of this opportunity, Nelson was adamant that his son’s club would be ideal partners. We checked into your club, and I gotta say, we’re confused,” Zombie added.

“Confused about what?” Bull asked.

“It seems your days as an outlaw MC are long past you. These days, you’re seen by many to be a legitimate MC that makes its money from your various businesses, all legit,” Nutcase threw out. Zombie glared at him, then Zombie took over speaking.

“What Nut means is, how would you be able to assist us, when you’re no longer into the things you used to transport? Those routes and connections surely have dried up.”

“You’re correct, they would be long gone…

if we were out of the game. We’ve worked very hard to ensure that our image is clean.

We have civilians and even some law enforcement believing we’re guardian angels.

We let them see what we want them to. They have no clue what goes on in the dark and behind the scenes.

It leaves us in a very protected position. ” Bull smirked.

The Rebels exchanged satisfied grins. They were buying it. Good. Now to find out exactly what they wanted.

“That is excellent. Those pipelines, routes, whatever you call them, are why we want you to join us. The cash that’s just waiting to be earned is incredible.

We’ve been growing lately, but it’s not enough.

We have demands to produce more. To do that, we have to look outside our chapters to other clubs.

We have supply and demand, but we need the ability to transport them.

With your positions in Tennessee, having chapters in Kentucky and North Carolina, and friendships with other clubs, it makes you the perfect choice,” Zombie concluded.

While he’d been chattering away, Luna slipped up with the drinks. She quietly dispensed them. I had to hold in my growl when Zombie grabbed her ass. Her tight expression broadcast that she found his touch degrading and disgusting. Before she walked off, he patted her ass.

“You keep talking about how great we are and helping to move shit, but you haven’t said what it is that you need our assistance to move,” Iceman stated.

“Or what the risk is to us. We’re sitting pretty and don’t want to bring trouble to our doorstep. There have to be competitors out there that you have to watch out for. Or others who want to be in on this with you,” Demon stated.

Zombie let a fake chuckle go, prompting his guys to do the same. We remained impassive. When he stopped, he got serious.

“We do want to talk details, but not here. Too many eyes and ears can hear us. If you want to know the rest, you’ll have to come with us,” Zombie boldly said.

We thought this might happen. Like always, with Bull as our president, we had a contingency plan for it.

We were determined to get the information from them.

Before this night was over, we’d have all the information on the Rebels’ illegal business and connections and confirmation that the hit on Braelyn was indeed from Attila.

We might even find out who had taken the job if we were lucky.

Bull pretended to think it over for a minute before he nodded.

“Alright, we’re willing to hear more. Where do you want us to go? It has to be tonight. We’ve got another club coming to talk business with us tomorrow night.”

“It’s not far. It’s private property, and no one lives there. It belongs to the family of a brother. We’ll have our privacy,” Nutcase responded.

This move would be the most dangerous. Nothing kept them from luring us to the middle of nowhere and then killing us. It would be a way to destabilize a club. However, they didn’t know that if they had a hit team waiting for us, we had one of our own who would follow us.

“No time like the present. Let’s go,” Bull demanded.

And just like that, we were on our feet and moving toward the door.

People were still staring at us. The Marauders would have to remain there for a bit before casually leaving one at a time.

However, they weren’t the only backup we had.

Our brothers, Predator, Stalker, Maverick, Ace, and Renegade were hidden outside and would follow us to the new location.

They would then communicate where it was to Jinx and his men.

Eventually, they’d be there, making us fifteen to however many they had.

Within minutes, we were on our bikes, riding through the chilly night air. The Rebels had checked our saddlebags and confiscated our guns. It wasn’t unexpected, but it still pissed me off. During the ride, I stayed alert but wondered if tonight would be the end of this whole mess. God, I hoped so.
