Story: Killian De Luca

Sixteen

Reign

It’s been two days since I last spoke to Killian.

He doesn’t do the training sessions with me anymore in the morning. The only time I would see him is at meals.

Baba and Mama have asked him what he’s been doing and why he’s rarely in of the house.

He would make up some excuse about not feeling well before continuing on with the dinner not talking.

My dad the other day asked me what’s going on with Killian and why he hasn’t been in the gym training me. I tell him I don’t know but I have a feeling it’s because of our almost kiss or whatever that was in the garden.

I don’t usually go to Killian’s house to get him for dinner but I’m over the silent treatment with him.

I just want everything to be back to normal.

I tried talking to Star about it, but Star told me I should leave him alone. Star doesn’t get it though because he isn’t the type of person to worry about anyone.

When I get to the guest house I knock on the door and wait for Killian to pop out. When he does, he’s only wearing basketball shorts and nothing else. His hair looks like it’s been ran through by his fingers.

Killian trails his eyes down my body like I’m his mark. His eyes pause on my bare legs before meeting my eyes again.

“What?” he asks, opening the door wider.

“Dinner is starting soon but I wanted to talk to you.”

“Yea I know it is.” He walks inside the house, his bare back facing me. His muscle clench with every step he takes as I follow him inside and close the door behind me. The place is actually quite clean. Killian cleans up after himself so well and you can tell. There aren't clothes everywhere and when I catch a look in the kitchen, it doesn’t look messy at all. “What do you want to talk about?” Killian asks as he walks towards the room.

I follow after him. “Things have been weird between us lately.” Killian turns to look at me and he grabs a white shirt from the bed and throws it on.

“What makes you say that?” Killian crosses his arms over his chest and raises an eyebrow at me.

I nervously grip the bottom of my skirt. “Well after what happened in the garden-”

“What happened in the garden?” Killian asks, acting like he’s actually confused.

I laugh lightly because he has to be kidding. “We had-”

“Nothing.” Killian walks towards me. “We had nothing, Reign. Nothing happened that day. You’d be crazy to think something would.”

I furrow my eyebrows. “You’re the one who was making eyes at me.”

Killian narrows his eyes, and they darken just like they did in the garden. “What eyes?”

He knows exactly what he’s doing. “That. Your pupils get bigger which makes you look like you want me or something.”

Killian’s lips lift in a small smirk and take a step closer. “I don’t want you, Reign.”

“Then stop looking at me like that.”

Killian leans down and his eyes go to my lips before meeting my eyes. “Could say the same for you. Staring at me constantly and blushing when I don’t wear a shirt.” Killian’s smirk widens. “I mean admit it, you love the attention I give you. You love seeing me walk around everywhere shirtless. Don’t be a hypocrite,” he says before passing by me, knocking his shoulder into mine.

He leaves his room and goes out the front door after putting his shoes on.

I try to calm down and force myself to walk out of his house.

We’re not finished.

Killian can’t just project all this on me when I didn’t even do or initiate anything.

When I walk into the main house everyone is sitting in their seats and Killian is sipping on water, smirking when his eyes catch mine.

I sit down with everyone else at the table as the workers start bringing in dinner.

“Today I had the chef make some pasta. I wasn’t in the cooking mood today,” Mama explains.

“What’d you do today, Mama?” I ask.

Mama starts explaining how she worked in the garden with Baba, she did some reading and went to the store with Papa.

Papa and Mama try to go out regularly because they like pretending they have a somewhat normal life.

So, a day with just them two and rarely any bodyguards up close to them, they enjoy it and spend it quietly together.

While she explains more about her day along with Papa cutting in, my eyes go to Killian automatically.

I don’t know why I can’t keep my eyes off him.

Killian is like the black devil. Not the red, no.

The red devil is the one that everyone is afraid of because he makes his presence known, kind of like Killian’s dad.

But Killian, the black devil, he is the devil you never see coming. Quieter and deadlier.

It’s the ones that everyone will scream for.

Killian’s eyes meet mine.

Us staring at one another feels like a lifetime and Killian’s lips lift in a small smirk. I don’t smile at him even though I want to.

He doesn’t deserve my smile after what he said to me about being a hypocrite.

He is the one who started this.

Yes, I urged him but that’s because if you start something you should at least finish it.

I feel a hand, warm and rough, slide onto my bare thigh. I look away from Killian and see his hand on my thigh. I blush immediately when he grips my thigh tightly before rubbing his hand up and down.

I’ve had one guy in my life touch me like this, but I don’t remember feeling so hot and sensitive. That guy wasn’t a boyfriend, he was just a little talking stage, but nothing ever came out of it except for him fingering me, which honestly was a small let down.

A few months later that guy disappeared and there was trace of him found everywhere.

Jamie tried to find out what happened with him but nothing major came up.

No guy has touched me since, at least not until Killian.

“Reign,” Papa says, making me look away from my lap and try to focus on Papa.

“Yes, Papa?”

“I asked how your day was,” Papa repeats but I can't stop thinking about Killian’s warm hand on my thigh with his rings sending jolts down my body.

“It was good.” I force a smile on my face. “I worked out in the gym, did some reading and even talked to Jamie for a little bit.”

I take a deep breath in and press my thighs together when I feel Killian slide his hand up and towards my inner thigh.

“And you Killian?” Papa asks, glaring at him.

Papa still doesn’t like Killian, but he is learning to control his anger and dislike around him.

Killian runs his thumb up and down in my inner thighs which sends chills to the spot between my legs. I try to press my legs together more, but Killian doesn’t let me, keeping them spread a little.

“Boring. I didn’t do anything,” he says nonchalantly.

“Have you talked to your dad at all?”

“No. I told you already, he kicked me out. Ace De Luca won’t call, he wants to see me running back,” Killian says with a smooth tongue while I’m over here blushing and going crazy over a small touch.

“And you’re not going back why? I’m just curious why all of a sudden you and Ace had a falling out.”

Killian looks up at Papa and says in a low, almost threatening voice, “That’s for me and my dad only to know. All you need to know is one of these days, I’ll be asking for your help.”

Papa rubs his chin and gives Killian a skeptical look. “And what do I get out of it?”

“You finally will get to kill the man you hate the most.”
