Skyler James and Trevor Blue, two members of the hit band Boys Will Be Boys, have been extra close from the beginning. All members of the band appear to be close friends, but there’s something about the chemistry between James and Blue that draws attention. The two have claimed to be best friends, but is it possible they may be something more as well?

The band’s popularity exploded quickly after they came onto the music scene. Now in the middle of Boys Will Be Boys’ second world tour, the speculation about these two supposed best friends has grown. Fans of the pairing have even coined a moniker for the alleged couple by mashing up their names—Blue Skies.

But is this nonsense? We find it hard to believe James and Blue are really a couple, though it’s hard to ignore the growing faction of the band’s fanbase who insist it’s true. Just check out #BlueSkies on any social media platform and you’ll see how prevalent this theory has become. Fans have even taken to posting their own videos to YouTube, made up of clips from Boys Will Be Boys interviews and concerts, highlighting moments they see as “proof” these bandmates are, in fact, in love with each other.

James and Blue certainly wouldn’t be the first gay boybanders in history, but they would be the first that we know of to date each other. While we aren’t trying to lend credibility to this Blue Skies theory, we are here to say that the truth will come out eventually. And we’ll be here eagerly waiting for it along with everyone else.
