Ariella
Summer
“Every time we go out, I want you to wear a dress with me,” Ash says as his finger lightly rubs my thigh.
I blush. “Why?” I ask, while trying not to smile so hard but it's hard when it comes to Ash.
Every time I'm with him, I feel like smiling. No one has ever made me feel this happy before. Ash makes me feel like I am blind to everything around me and it's just me and him stuck in the world.
I hate feeling like this somehow will end soon.
Today he wanted to get ice cream so he came over and we took my car to the ice cream shop because afterwards we plan on going to the beach for a little to hangout.
“Because I like knowing I can touch you whenever I want.” He gives me a small smile before turning his head to face the road.
I smile and look out the window so he can't see how red my cheeks probably are and how big I am smiling from what he said.
The things he says just seems to make things harder for me to resist him. I wish I could touch him but I don't have the guts to say or do that.
When Ash pulls into a parking lot I look to see where we are. There are little shops around us, an ice cream shop, toy shop, and some more restaurants and food places.
“What are we doing here?” I ask, looking at him as he parks the car.
“We're getting ice cream.”
“That's not on the bucket list though.”
Ash smirks and says, “I know,” before getting out of the car and closing the door.
I hurry and get out of the car and Ash is already on my side. He holds his hand out for me to take. I smile and take his hand as he closes the door behind me.
We swing our hands as we walk towards the ice cream shop.
When we get inside it's freezing cold and I get shivers down my spine. We walk up to the counter and look at the ice cream selections. While looking at the selections I feel a jacket being placed on my shoulders making me look up at Ash, who isn't wearing his jacket anymore.
He isn't looking at me, instead he is looking at the ice cream selections as if they are the most interesting thing in the world while I am looking at him like a puppy in love.
“Hi.” I hear, forcing me to look away from Ash and look at the girl who is standing behind the counter with a white cap on her head with the name “I Scream!” which is the name of the shop. “Have you guys ever been here before?”
“No, first time,” Ash says as he looks at the ice cream selections. He grips my hand which makes me look at him again. He is looking down at me and his head is tilted a little bit making me admire the way his jaw is structured and how strong it looks. I get flashbacks of the nights in New York when I woke up with his face between my legs making me hold onto his hair as he made me see stars when it was so bright outside. “Ariella,” he says, making me come back to reality.
“Huh?” I ask him, feeling heat cover my cheeks once again.
“I asked, what ice cream do you want?”
“Oh.” I smile and look at the girl who is waiting. “Can I just have cookies and cream please in a medium cup?”
She nods and scoops the ice cream. Ash tells her that he wants rocky road which I grimace at. He notices and shoves my shoulder with his.
Ash pays, despite my efforts to make him let me pay.
He has paid for every single thing every time we go out. I tell him it's not fair and he tells me to shut up and that he doesn't mind paying for me and that he would pay for the whole world if it meant I would be happy.
What he said made my heart beat so fast I thought it was going to burst out of my chest. The way he says things that hold such meaning to me, will never make sense. He has the ability to ruin me and he has no clue.
We sit down at an empty table, next to one another. I sit in the corner while Ash wraps his arm around my shoulder making me lean against him.
“Where do you see yourself in the future?” I ask him while eating my ice cream.
