“I can tell you about it over dinner?”

Never in my life would I think that spontaneously going on a date with a girl, who I only know the name of, would be something I’m doing on a Thursday night.
I'm not the type to go out and do things spontaneously.
I always have a plan.
I always do things by a plan.
I like having control over things. I like to have control of multiple situations where I’m included so that I don't get hurt.
But this girl Ariella, the way her eyes sparkled before she asked me what I am doing for dinner tonight.
The way her eyes sparkled with mischief as if she had a plan for me.
I liked it.
A little too much.
I smiled when she asked me.
She looks innocent but I just know that everything about her isn't pure.
God, I don't even know this girl's last name and I am going out with her.
When I first walked into the bookstore my eyes immediately went to her. She is hard not to look at.
And then I was walking around the entire store, trying to find this book that released by one of my favorite authors, and somehow I ended up in the section I saw her hiding a book in.
She definitely didn't look like the type to read historical fiction or classic literature.
But then I looked up at the shelf and I grabbed the book and saw another book with the title “Captured By You”.
I already knew for a fact it was some dark romance book with erotica in it.
I look down at my watch and see that it's 7:15 pm.
Ariella is fifteen minutes late and I am trying to decide if I want to wait for another fifteen minutes or if I just want to leave and forget about her.
My patience is running thin right now and all I can think about is just going home and punching the mirror in my room until my hands bleed.
It's a good way for me to get any tension I have in my body released.
It feels good.
The pain.
Just as I was about to say 'fuck it all', I see Ariella sit down in the chair in front of me.
“I thought I was going to get stood up,” I say.
Ariella's face turns a little red. “I overthink a lot and I just wasn't sure if I wanted to do this.” I raise an eyebrow at her. “Like go on a date.”
