“Yes, and if you don't stop talking you will be the first,” I threaten before taking a sip of my drink.
I just need to quiet my mind and I don't know why Jace bothered to bring me here thinking it would help me.
I don't even know where he is. He told me he needed to go outside because Bridgette was calling him.
I swear since him and Bridgette have started dating, they have not kept their hands off one another.
Whenever Bridgette is with Jace and me, she gives me dirty looks and doesn't speak a word to me.
I know that Ariella told her about everything.
I don't care.
As long as Ariella has her future intact I don't care.
“Whoa, I didn't know Jace had Zoë Kravitz for a girlfriend,” Nash's friend sitting next to him says.
I turn my head to the front door and see Jace walking in with his arm around Bridgette's waist.
But I could care less about them two. My eyes go to the brown-haired girl next to them.
Ariella is wearing a black mini dress and her hair is half up, half down.
She looks like a devil sent from hell.
Nash leans back in his chair and I notice his eyes going to Ariella. “Nah, my eyes are on the one next to her.” I shove Nash against the wall, keeping my hand pressed against his chest. “Ash, what the fuck?”
“Keep looking at her like that and I swear to God I'll fucking take your eyes out of your eye sockets.”
“Dude, it's not even that serious. Calm down.”
I take my hand off his chest and walk away.
I can't bother with him. It's like talking to a wall. He is a fucking douche bag who only really cares about himself and who is in his bed for the night.
I walk up to Jace and I can see the guilt in his eyes. “Hey, Ash.”
I look away from Jace and my eyes meet Ariella's instead. “You look nice.”
To my surprise, Ariella's cheeks turn a shade darker but she doesn't smile.
Ariella ignores me and turns to Bridgette instead. “I'm going to go get a drink. Do you want to come?”
“Sure.” Bridgette looks at Jace. “I'll meet up with you later.”
Jace nods his head and kisses Bridgette before she walks away with Ariella. Bridgette and Ariella walk past me and go to the kitchen where all the drinks are, purposely bumping into my shoulder making me smirk at Ariella and her attitude.
“Please don't cause any trouble tonight. Bridgette said that Ariella needs a night out and I told them about this party.”
“Who said I'll cause any trouble?” I furrow my eyebrows at him. “You bring me to this party to try and have me forget about her yet you decide to invite her?”
Jace sighs and walks closer to me. “Look, I just don't want any trouble tonight. You can keep your distance from Ariella, can't you? I mean, if you didn't want any issues then why are you still talking and flirting with her.”
I shake my head lightly.
Jace doesn't know anything and therefore I don't bother answering him or think about what he is trying to tell me.
“Whatever.”
