“Not yet.”
“What about you, Fallon?” Luca turned to him.
“Nah. You?”
“There is one hottie out there.” He pointed his finger toward someone on the dance floor. The guy was cute from what I could see in the dim lighting. He had dark brown hair and a nice-looking body, but he wasn’t what I was looking for. I wanted to find someone a few years older who could maybe have their way with me, or at least show me a new move or something.
“Don’t do it,” Fallon told Luca. “That guy’s bad news.”
“Really? You know him?” he asked.
Fallon nodded. “We were in the same fraternity. We were friends until he tried to fuck over my friend Tyler. It was a whole thing, and I haven’t talked to him since.”
“That’s a shame,” Marco chimed in. “He’s cute.”
“He’s too young for me,” I stated. “I’m thinking I want to try someone older. Maybe have him teach me a few things.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t mind finding a daddy,” Marco agreed.
“Well, I didn’t say I wanted someone that old. Not sure I want shriveled balls in my mouth.”
We all laughed, but then Fallon said, “I need to hit the little boys’ room. I’ll be back.”
“Already breaking the seal?” I teased him.
“Fuck, I know.” He chuckled. “Can’t help it.”
He downed his drink and placed the empty cup on the bar. Agent Bernard, who was the one with us at the bar while the others walked the room or stayed outside, followed as Fallon headed toward the restroom. A few minutes later, Fallon returned to our group with a slightly serious expression on his face. He leaned in and spoke to us in a low voice. “Guys, I hate to do this, but I need to leave.”
“What? Already?” Luca protested.
“Yeah, there’s something urgent I need to take care of. It’s a family thing,” he explained, glancing at Agent Bernard. “But you guys will find a ride home, right?”
“Of course,” I said. “Is everything okay?”
“Yes. Just, you know, being the son of the next president of the United States.”
“We were right. Fallon is going to be cock blocked for the next four years.” Luca shook his head.
“Trust me,” Fallon stated. “That will not happen, but catch you guys at school after break is over.”
As Fallon and Agent Bernard made their way toward the exit, I turned back to my friends. “All right. Who’s ready to dance?”
The three of us chugged our drinks and then got out on the dance floor. While we danced, my eyes roamed the crowd, and I spotted a guy who appeared a few years older than me sitting at one of the high-top tables a few feet away. He had light brown hair that was slicked back, bedroom eyes, and was clean-shaven. Intrigued, I danced over to him.
“Hey,” I greeted with a smile. “Mind if I join you?”
He gave me a once-over before grinning. “Not at all. I was hoping someone would ask.”
As I slid into the seat across from him, our eyes locked in a way that sent a shiver down my spine.
“So, what brings you out tonight?” I asked.
“Needed a break from reality,” he confessed. “You?”
“Tonight’s all about losing myself in the music and maybe finding a bit of trouble along the way.” I grinned.
His lips curled into a smirk. “Trouble can be a good thing if you know how to handle it.”
