When he pulled out, I pushed myself up and shoved him down on the bed. I straddled him, impaling myself on his thick length.

As I moved, I caught his wrists and pinned them to the bed on each side of his head.

I stared into his eyes as every thrust led us closer to our peak.

When we reached it, we both let out a cry, and I collapsed on top of him.

My eyes found his, and I pressed myself tightly to him.

“I don’t want to let you go ever again,” I said.

“Then don’t.”

ALMOST FIVE YEARS LATER, I was still super happy I’d gone to Luca’s apartment that night. We’d been inseparable ever since.

It had turned out he didn’t exactly want a normal, boring life, and I didn’t really want everything to be about my business.

We’d decided to meet somewhere in the middle. He was the one I came home to after I was done with work, and when I was with him, I pretended my job didn’t exist.

Okay, except in emergencies. Although, there hadn’t been a lot of those.

And I was still who I was, so we had to have guards with us wherever we went. But taking over Santino’s territory had earned me a whole lot of more money, and I’d used it to strengthen our security.

No one was going to take Luca away from me again.

I pulled over in the parking lot of a restaurant.

Luca took a deep breath before his gaze found mine. “I don’t know if I should do this,” he said.

“It’s only you who knows that, but if you want to see your brothers, you should.”

“I don’t know. My father kept me away from them. I’m not sure how I feel about them because I didn’t see them much.”

“Your father’s gone now. It doesn’t matter what he wants. If your brothers reached out to you, it’s because they want to see you.” I placed my hand over his.
