“Fuck,” I say in awe as she crumbles beneath me.
“One of the benefits of pregnancy,” she says giggling when she stops shaking.
I lower the front panel of her maternity jeans and kiss her stomach. “Just how long will we be able to do this?”
“I suppose as long as I’m comfortable and can—”
Her hands go to her belly.
“What is it?” I ask, concerned.
She takes my hand and presses it against the left side of her stomach. “Can you feel that?”
I realize what’s happening and my eyes go wide with anticipation as I muster every ounce of concentration. When I feel a small flutter under her skin, I gasp.
“Did you feel it?” she asks.
I can’t respond. All I can do is wait for more. I put my other hand on her and lean close. It happens again. My heart is stuck so far up my throat I don’t think I can speak. I need more. Feeling my child or children moving inside her has to be one of the most incredible things I’ve ever experienced. I don’t want to move. I don’t want to eat, sleep, or work ever again, I just want to lie here and feel the life inside her.
“Ash?”
“Shh.”
She giggles. Then the movement abates, making me sad.
“Asher, we—”
“I’m not moving. I need to feel it again.”
“You know… I think it was the orgasm that brought it on.”
I lift my head to look at her. “Really?”
She nods. “So maybe if we—”
Before she can finish that sentence, her shoes are on the floor along with her jeans and panties. I crawl on top of her, careful not to put weight on her stomach. “Sweetheart, be prepared to go for the record. Because if they move every time you come, you’re going to come all night long.”
She laughs and pulls my head toward hers. “This night is turning out far better than expected.”

I’m sure we both have bags under our eyes when we hit the hotel restaurant for breakfast. I insisted on not getting roomservice. If we’d stayed there a minute longer, I’d have had her naked and under me again. Last night was amazing. Between making her come as many times as I did, and feeling the babies, it was definitely the best night we’ve spent together. Which is kind of surprising considering how the night started.
I wave over Rich and Arjun when I see them enter the restaurant.
“Allie Montana, meet Rich Jennings and Arjun Bhandari. Gentlemen, please join us.”
Rich takes the seat across from me. “I can see why Asher didn’t want to go a single day without seeing you. Nice to finally meet you, Allie.”
“Actually,” Allie says. “I’m the one who crashed his party. I hope it’s okay. If you need to talk about work, I can go.”
“There will be plenty of time for that,” Arjun says, extending his hand to her. “You wouldn’t happen to have any sisters, would you?”
Allie blushes. “Sorry. I’m the only girl of my parents’ four children.”
“Three brothers,” Rich says in amusement. He turns to Asher. “And you’re still alive?”
We’re all sharing a laugh when Stella walks into the restaurant. A man is with her. I guess her husband’s flight arrived. Allie doesn’t fail to notice. She tenses, but all Stella does is offer me a sad smile. She and Jeffrey stroll right past us as if he has no idea who I am. Maybe she didn’t even tell him.
