Story: Merciless Intents
Damian thought for a minute. “Uhh… nothing that doesn’t involve cooking. What time is it? Anything good still open?”
I looked at my phone. “It’s like one. I’m sure something’s still open. Hell, Taco Bell in Indiana stays open until 4:00 AM, so I’m sure this place has even more to offer.”
Damian shook his head. “Not really. This place is pretty secluded. It’s why I liked it so much. The downside is there aren’t many options for delivery.”
“Mariano’s Pizza might still be open,” Asher offered, and Damian shook his head.
“Not really in the mood for pizza. Damn. We should have thought of this earlier.”
I shrugged. “I don’t mind cooking something if you don’t mind me having access to your kitchen.”
Both boys looked at me. “You cook?” Asher asked.
I nodded. “Yep. Like I said, my dad worked a lot, so I ended up making most of our meals, so he’d have something when he came home.”
They looked at one another and then back at me. Damian smiled. “My domestic goddess. How sexy. You’re free to do whatever you like here.”
It was difficult to ignore the way he looked at me. When I looked at Asher, I realized he stared in a similar way.
“Sexy indeed,” Asher said, his voice a little deeper than usual.
I shook my head and sighed before heading off to the kitchen. “Both of you are ridiculous,” I said, giving a gentle slap to the back of both their heads. “If you want food, you both need to stay in here. I don’t want you fucking with me while I cook. I won’t be able to focus.” They laughed as I left the room.
Wandering around the kitchen was like looking around in a commercial kitchen. It had absolutely everything I could possibly need and more. Most of the meat was frozen, but I understood why. It wasn’t like Damian spent much time here since he lived an hour away in the dorms at Crestview. Short-lived perishables like meat wouldn’t last long.
I pulled some boneless, skinless chicken breasts and bacon out of the freezer and went to work prepping everything else while they thawed in large bowls of hot water. It took about forty-five minutes to get everything finished, but when I did, I was proud of myself.
I made baked chicken breasts stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese, shredded cheese, bacon pieces, garlic, salt, and pepper with a mix of seasoning on top. I also made mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. It looked and smelled amazing.
As expected, I’d long since sobered up. I found some ibuprofen and helped myself to it to avoid the inevitable headache, and it seemed to help. Food would make it even better.
“Dear God, that smells incredible,” Asher said as he rounded the corner. “Please tell me it’s almost done. We were good boys and stayed out of your way.”
“And youknowhow difficult it is for me to be a good boy,” Damian whined.
I laughed. They could be so damned cute when they wanted to be. It stirred more than sexual desire in me, and I didn’t like that. Developingactualcrushes on them would be a bad idea when things would soon return to normal.
Maybe that’s what Damian had meant. It would hurt a lot less to hate him than to like him and end up falling for him, only to be hurt by him repeatedly.
“I agree. You were both on your best behavior, and I’m very impressed. Also, yes. It’s done. Come and get it.”
“Yes!” Asher shouted before making his way around the island to grab a plate. “Go sit down, and I’ll get you a plate.” I looked up at him, and he nodded toward the living room. “Go on. You cooked everything. The cook doesn’t have to plate her own food, and the cook doesn’t clean. Those are the rules.”
I smiled. “I can get used to those rules.”
I turned to walk away, and he grabbed my arm, pulling me back and pinning me to the counter. His dark black-brown eyes stared into mine.
“I havesomany rules I’d love to teach you.Mmm,” he moaned. My breath quickened as he placed the plates on the counter behind me and gripped my hips, pressing himself against me. His tongue snaked out and gently licked my lower lip, and I moaned. “What I wouldn’t give to teach you a few things.”
I gasped. “What exactly do you want to teach me?”
His eyes narrowed as he gave me a dark smile. “Everything.”
At that moment, I sensed the same dangerous energy in him that I’d sensed in Damian. Asher was right. There was a lot more to him than I’d imagined.
He leaned forward and kissed me, his hands roughly gripping onto my hips as my breasts pressed against his bare chest. I wanted to feel his skin against mine. I wanted to taste every square inch of him.
“Are we eating the food or her? I’m good with either,” Damian said as he walked into the room. Out of the corner of my eye, I watched him grab a piece of broccoli and stuff it in his mouth.
