‘Cutie-pie. Alright, I’ll just drop this in her room then.’

‘What is it?’ Elly cranes her head to get a better look.

I flash her an apologetic smile. ‘Secret.’

‘You better behave,’ I warn as soon as Tilda’s shut the door.

Haz smirks, folding her arms behind her head. ‘Dunno what you mean.’

I send her a look. ‘Yes, you do. Don’t be like how you were with Skylar.’

‘Tilda isn’t Skylar,’ Haz huffs.

‘Exactly.’

‘But, you know, Tilda likes it rough too.’

‘Notrough.Just…fast. Bit hard, maybe.’

‘Elly, man.’ Haz turns to me, laying a hand on my arm. ‘Don’t tell me how to fuck her, alright? I know what she likes. She’s not exactly a mouse in bed.’

‘She’s also a massive people pleaser.’

‘Fuck off, man. And I’m a Tilda pleaser. Shit, you really think I’d do anything she didn’t like?’

‘If you thought you knew better, then yeah.’

Haz shakes her head. ‘Don’t piss me off or I’ll be fucking her without you.’

‘I hope you’re using safe words.’

She groans, rolling to her feet. ‘I’m gonna go get my dick. Loosen the fuck up, yeah? Don’t need the sex police on my ass.’

Soon as she’s gone, I expel a breath. I’m not strapping up until Tilda’s back here telling me she one hundred percent wants this. Me and Haz might have planned the whole thing but it’s for Tilda’s benefit. I snort thinking just how under the thumb I am. Despite Haz’s pitiless display, I know she’s the same. We’re goners, the both of us.

She comes back a few minutes later, reeking of body spray and with a bulge in her trousers.

I roll to my feet with a yawn. I should probably do the same. Nothing sexy about these pyjamas.

Haz stands at the window, allowing me the courtesy of privacy as she squints into the sun. ‘If our legs are still working after this, we should get out there. If your ginger ass can hack it.’

‘I’m down if Tilda is. What about Nic?’

‘Not here, is she? She didn’t want to do anything.’

‘Her birthday, I guess. Wonder what she’s planning with Tilda later. Bit weird, if you ask me.’

‘They’re fucking.’ Haz’s profile grins. ‘Telling you.’

For the first time, I dwell on the possibility of that. ‘That’s preferable, to be honest.’

‘That’s what I said. But hey’—she turns to me, palms raised—‘let’s leave them to it. About time they sorted their shit out.’

‘At least we know what the shit is now. Kind of.’
