Page 6 of Toni and Addie Go Viral
Toni felt like the air was crackling.
Addie was watching her. Her lips parted, and she looked Toni over with unmistakable albeit tipsy interest. For a moment, Toni thought about the long list of women in pubs or parties in the past, and she felt a flicker of self-doubt.
This woman made Toni want to be chivalrous, gentle, any manner of irrational reactions that were out of place for someone playacting in a bar on a rainy night in Edinburgh.
One-night stands happen, Toni reminded herself. It’s Addie’s choice here, too. We’re in public, and she’s likely nowhere near as innocent as she acts. Intellectually, Toni knew better than to act like this was a big deal, but her traitorous heart sped as Addie stared at her.
When Addie licked her lips, Toni was ready to scoop her up in her arms like the Victorian damsel she was pretending to be.
Toni’s voice was rough as she prompted, “Adelaine?”
For another moment, they were silent, and then Addie crawled into Toni’s lap. She sat sideways, legs tightly together. In the firelight, those lovely legs were defined silhouettes in her cotton nightdress, and as much as a dress that reached to her ankles ought not be so sexy, it was. She was.
Toni quickly reappraised her situation and wrapped an arm around Addie’s waist. It was harmless flirtation, right?
Adelaine settled herself in Toni’s arms with a sigh. “You make me want to be decadent, Toni. I feel scandalous already. I am barely dressed and in your arms. Such things aren’t acceptable in these days.”
“Are the 1800s so very strict?” Toni teased.
“I am a woman of means, and there are expectations.…” Addie sounded quite convincing. “I am expected to marry, to let a man of my family’s choosing touch me, but I want… something else.”
Toni encouraged Addie, “Tell me what you’re looking for.”
“I have always wanted to kiss a woman, to feel wanted by a woman such as yourself,” Addie whispered in Toni’s ear. “Will you make me feel wanted?”
Toni opened her mouth to answer, but Addie pressed her lips to Toni’s in an awkward kiss.
For a moment, Toni couldn’t respond, thinking about her other rules. She didn’t make a habit of bedding baby gays; they tended to imprint like newly hatched ducklings, which led to notions of commitments—and the underlying rule that had created all the rest was that Toni didn’t do complicated.
But it very quickly became apparent that if this woman had kissed anyone in her life, it was not often. There was plenty of passion, but not a lot of experience.
It’s just a kiss. Everyone deserves a proper kiss.
Just one kiss.
Toni took control, guiding their kiss, and after a moment, Addie followed her lead. When Toni’s hand tightened on her hip, Addie’s lips parted in a gasp, and Toni deepened their kiss.
Addie’s hand slid into Toni’s hair and gripped as if Toni were considering stopping.
But when Toni’s thumb grazed the underside of Addie’s breast, Addie jumped up, a vision with wide eyes and kiss-stung lips. She crossed her arms over her chest.
Addie blinked her eyes and stared at her. “There are people in here.”
Toni tossed a handful of bills onto the table. “Let’s go.”
Addie let out a little noise of protest, but she followed Toni outside.
“Do you live nearby?” Toni asked, hating how brusque she sounded.
“No.”
They stood quietly for a moment before Addie said, “I’m sorry I was so rude. I’ve never… and there were people watching us.”
“Fair.” Toni eyed the small garden in the next lot. There was a gate, a locked gate, but someone hadn’t fastened it thoroughly. “Come on.”
Addie paused. “Just so you know, Adelaine is my real name. Adelaine Stewart.”
“Toni’s really my name, too.” She didn’t add her surname. She wasn’t keen on sharing that. For a moment, she frowned, thinking that Addie might have already said her surname, but that didn’t make sense. How would she know Toni’s name?
Had they met? Toni glanced at her again. She had a few fuzzy details about women in her past, but there was no way she’d forget having Addie in her arms before this.
Toni opened the gate enough for them to slip into the garden and took Addie’s hand. She pulled Addie behind her. “Is this scandalous enough for you?”
“Not yet.” Addie’s voice shook, but she squeezed Toni’s hand tightly.
“It’s private-ish,” Toni offered. “Unless you want to go somewhere—”
Addie lurched into her for another kiss, cutting off the question, and pressed her braless chest against Toni. The jacket was now pressed to the sides, and Addie’s pebbled nipples against Toni’s thin blouse were a welcome reminder that Addie wore no bra.
Toni’s hands landed on Addie’s narrow waist, and she slid her thumbs upward to caress the line of her ribs. Eventually Toni’s hands moved upward, thumbs grazing Addie’s nipples.
When Addie pulled back, her pupils were blown wide. She glanced down at Toni’s hands and said, “More, please. More touching.”
Toni decided that this was where they were going to be staying. “Are your drawers period-accurate, Addie? I’ve been wondering that since you walked in,” Toni said, crowding the woman closer to the shadows of the hedge.
Addie nodded once. “I think so.…”
Toni closed her eyes, leaning her head against Addie’s for a moment. “Now is when you tell me you want to go home or… say yes.”
“Toni…” Addie reached out with one shaking hand and curled it around Toni’s hip.
“Going? Staying?” Toni felt like her voice had been rolled over gravel with how rough the words felt in her mouth.
“Kiss me, please?”
Toni lowered her mouth to Addie’s, tasting the tart lemon still on her tongue, but she kept her hands carefully still. She needed a solid yes before going anywhere that was going to be too far or too fast, and she still hadn’t sussed out what was character and what was real.
When Addie let out a little whimpering noise, Toni pulled back. “Answer, Addie. Are you staying here with me or going?”
Toni stepped back slightly. She might be more than a little tipsy, too, but she wasn’t going to coerce Addie into anything.
Addie stepped forward, raised her hands so they were flat on Toni’s collarbones. Addie’s voice was barely a whisper when she asked, “What would staying mean?”
Toni swallowed a sigh. Addie, apparently, was either truly committed to her persona or genuinely innocent. She was also eager. Her hands smoothed over Toni’s chest, like she was trying to memorize the shape of Toni’s torso as they spoke.
“Whatever you want.” Toni didn’t hide her own moan as Addie’s fleeting touch paused to cup Toni’s breasts.
“Would you kiss me more?” Addie whispered.
“Yes.”
“And touch me some…” Addie swallowed visibly.
“Do you want me to?” Toni asked, feeling more awkward than she was accustomed to feeling in hookups. She held Addie’s gaze. “What you want is what I need to know here, Addie.”
“I want you to”—she took Toni’s hand and moved it to the juncture of her thighs in a very clear answer—“let me know if my undergarments are historical enough. Touch me there. ”
A slow smile came over Toni at the request. “It would be my pleasure.”
She stepped closer and nudged Addie’s legs apart so that Toni’s leg was between them.
As Addie reached out to touch Toni’s breast again, Toni caught her wrist. “Be a good girl, Lady Adelaine. You said you wanted me to touch you, so I need you to follow the rules now.” She directed Addie’s hand to the wrought-iron fence that was still visible in the hedge behind her. “Both hands on there now.”
Addie whimpered softly. She wrapped her other hand around the metal. “Yes, Toni.”
Toni kissed Addie’s breasts, now at easy mouth-level, through the thin nightdress. Addie’s thighs clamped harder around Toni’s leg. She arched backward, breasts jutting out like an invitation.
“Such a good girl you are.…” Toni mouthed her nipples through the barrier of that white nightdress.
“Please,” Addie whispered, as if she didn’t have the words to know what she wanted. “Toni, please.”
“I have you.” Toni stared down at her. There was something more erotic about the wet circles on the thin white cotton, and Toni felt her own pulse speed as she looked at the sight before her. Along the street, voices carried, and that made their hidden moment more arousing somehow.
“Like a regular Victorian maiden about to be debauched in the garden,” she whispered, pinching one of Addie’s nipples.
“Yes, please,” Addie begged, tilting her head back.
Toni suckled her throat before whispering, “Shall I slide my hands into those delicate drawers or kneel here in front of you? Toss one of those pretty legs over my shoulder?”
Addie was shaking, grinding herself against Toni’s leg. “Hands. I’m not ready to… I’ve never—”
“As you wish.” Toni was a little surprised that Addie was apparently that inexperienced, and every rule Toni had about baby gays screamed into her mind, but within forty-eight hours, Toni would be back in the States. She wanted, needed, to give Addie something to remember.
First times ought to be exciting or special.
And I can’t give her special.
Toni bunched up the cotton nightdress and held Addie’s gaze. “Hold this for me, Lady Adelaine?”
Addie went wide-eyed enough that Toni stepped back and asked again, “Would you rather I stop completely?”
“N-no.” Addie grabbed the cotton in one hand, clutching it in a tight fist and exposing her drawers. She pressed back against the fence. “I want… more. I want you to touch me.”
As Toni trailed her hand to the juncture of Addie’s legs, pausing at the place where her now-damp leg had been, she let out an appreciative noise of her own at the damp material there.
She parted the opening on the almost criminally accurate drawers.
They were slit from bum to button, and Toni said a silent prayer of thanks to whatever costumer made these as she stroked Addie’s slick skin.
Addie was already trembling, and several moments later, Toni murmured, “Bend your knees just a little, love, so you can let me in.”
When Addie complied, Toni slid two fingers inside the slick warmth of Addie’s body.
Addie clenched around her and made a sound that sent a flood of warmth through Toni’s own body.
After several moments, Toni shifted her hand so her thumb could press and stroke Adelaine’s swollen clit while her fingers continued to thrust inside.
The only sounds were Addie’s whimpers and Toni’s own deepened breathing.
There was nothing quite as satisfying as having a beautiful woman quivering under her touch.
“Such a very good girl, Addie,” Toni told her.
“I’ve never”—Addie moaned—“been in a garden.”
Toni chuckled. “Are you a wicked girl, then, Adelaine? Wicked in the garden, writhing on my hand like you want to come?”
“Yes. Please yes.” Addie’s legs were shaking. Her whole body was trembling, and whatever she was saying was more noise than words. “I’ve never… and this… oh my…”
She wasn’t holding on to the railing now. Adelaine wrapped her arms around Toni, clutching like she needed to get closer or be held up.
“Such a good, wicked girl,” Toni whispered. “Let go, love. Just let go.”
By the time Adelaine reached climax, Toni was holding her entire weight up, one arm around her waist, and pressing her back against the fence. Addie had both arms fisting Toni’s shirt so fiercely that Toni suspected it would tear.
Afterward, once Addie’s breathing started to calm, she whispered, “Should… I mean, may I…”
Toni unfastened her trousers and shoved them far enough down that her far-more-modern underwear were exposed. “No convenient crotchless underwear, I’m afraid.”
Adelaine angled her hand so she could reach under the scrap of cloth. Her nails were longer than Toni would prefer, but tonight, a little pain seemed like a fine price to pay for an unusual but incredible encounter.
Maybe I undervalued role-play.…
Unlike Toni’s perhaps-too-fast approach, Addie explored as if she wasn’t quite sure what she was doing.
“Just like you’d touch yourself, Addie,” Toni murmured. “Maybe a little gentler so you don’t scratch me. Do you want me to touch you again? At the same time? Reward you for how good you’re going to make me feel…”
The noise Addie made was hungry, and her hands were far from tender.
When Addie said nothing, though, Toni suggested, “Come back to my hotel, Lady Stewart. Let me have you in my bed for tonight.”
Unexpectedly, Addie froze. She jerked her hand away from Toni. “I can’t… this was a mistake. ”
Then she darted under Toni’s arm, spun on her delicate boot heel, and fled, clutching Toni’s blazer closed over her damp cotton nightie.
“Damn it.” Toni jerked up her trousers and stumbled following after her, but by the time she got outside, Addie—and Toni’s best blazer—were long gone.
