“Nickoi, when we gonna look for daddy?” I look back, to see his reaction, his eyes darken, completely lost. Damn.

Slowly, I enter the bathroom, and get ready. After a while, the door clicks open and Nickoi comes in. Whew. His presence does something to my body.

He comes behind me as I apply my lip gloss. “Mi nuh wah yuh wear that top mi have sup’m else fi yuh,” he whispers. I lean my head to the side and he pecks the skin just below my ear. My weak spot.

“Okay,” I smile, looking at him and he puts his hand around my waist, gliding his finger tips to my breast. “Nickoi stop,” I breathe.

“Why?” he asks in a low tone.

“Because we affi leave 9 AM for the hike and then get back here in time to get ready fi the airport,” I say.

“Ah,” he moves his hand. “Mi a guh get the blouse fi yuh.” He walks out.

When he comes back in, my smile grows as I see the polo in his hand. It’s purple with blue font, and he hands me a pair of white Air Forces. I glance up at him—he’s wearing the same thing. The same shirt, same shoes. The only difference is his light blue pants and my black biker tights.

“Ohhhh I see what you doing,” I smile, taking it. “Thank you and mi have a light blue shorts mi a go wear it.”

I pull off the top, my cleavage showing, and he watches, I quickly slip the blouse over my head and fight into the shorts.

Then I throw on the white Air Forces. I set up my camera, then walk over to him, placing my hand in his.

I’ve been doing this for every outfit we wore—gotta make sure it’s perfect for TikTok.

Once I get the perfect clip, I met with Gutta and Anna who are dressed in matching blue tops with Nautica at the top and black bottom and Clark’s. Watch ya nuh!

“It’s the matching for me,”Anna says as she turns the camera on us.

We ordered breakfast, ate, and then headed to Koko Head Park. When we got there, they started talking about how tough the climb is going to be. My eyes land on Nickoi, and I burst out laughing. He’s dead silent, just staring at the stairs, his face twisted in pure disbelief. Watch him!

“Jah Jah,” he mutters. “1048 steps that... a dead wi a go dead,” I laugh harder, almost choking.

“Cya tek Nickoi enuh,” Anna laughs, and I can’t help but join in.

“We can do it, mon,” I say, but he gives me a look. A sexy one.

I ignore the heat in his gaze, trying to focus on the challenge ahead. But his stare... it’s making it hard to concentrate.

“Mek sure unuh have unuh water,” I say to the others. I can feel his eyes.

“We have the bottle dem mon,” Gutta nods.

“Look how babe thick mi sorry fi yuh,” Anna teases.

“Fi yuh batty a guh drag yuh down mon,” he slaps her ass and she laughs.

“Ready?” I ask them after a while and they nod.

“Born ready mon,” Nickoi says and we start climbing up the steps.

Nickoi stops every few steps, drinking water and taking a quick rest before pushing himself to climb again.

I glance behind me and burst out laughing.

Gutta and Anna are so far behind, barely visible, like little dots in the distance.

They’re trailing behind some white tourists who are just strolling, taking their time.

“Babe, look at them,” I say, catching Nickoi’s attention. He turns, a smirk pulling at his lips as he laughs.

Gutta’s plopped down on the steps, looking defeated, while Anna’s over there, practically babying him with a bottle of water.

“Unuh tired!?” I shout.

“Yuh feel a bwoy!?” Gutta shouts back and I laugh.

“Lose some a the weight G,” Nickoi teases.

Gutta is a little stout so I understand that this would be hard for him. “Wul, a we a struggle though,” I laugh, looking around at the other tourists who seem just as exhausted.

“Ready again!” Nickoi announces without hesitation, his energy almost ridiculous.

We follow suit, pushing ourselves onward.

When we stop for a five-minute break, Gutta and Anna finally catch up, their faces scrunched in exhaustion.

Nickoi, on the other hand, barely seems winded.

He takes a slow sip of water, eyes on us as we groan and complain about the hike. Must a seh them idiot ya nuh shut up?

“Yow this mek fi kill people this affi illegal,” Anna holds her back.

“The one Nickoi nah seh a word enuh cause him use to do them thing ya,” Gutta laughs.

“Yah, member a regula we do warm up and thing on some steep hills so this nuh too foreign to me,” he retorts.

“Ohh when you a prepare fi champs,” I smile.

“Yah,” he says and we continued after a while.

When we get to the top, Nickoi sits on the ground looking down at the view and I stay beside him as Gutta and Anna take pictures of the view.

. “This was a big accomplishment enuh...1048 steps?... In a sun?” Gutta says to Anna. I chuckle at their conversation before I look at Nickoi who’s in deep thoughts.

“You okay?” I inquire, and he gives a nod.

I sense the weight of unspoken thoughts resting upon him, yet I decide to let him be. Nice girl. From my little bag, I retrieve some fruits, sharing them with the others before gently placing a grape at Nickoi’s lips, which he happily eats.

“Thanks,” he chews.

“Wah more?” my eyes on him. He takes a few more grapes and gulps his water, I do the same, mirroring his actions.

We linger until we’re fully ready and refreshed before heading down the trail. “This feel easier now,” Gutta chuckles.

“True but yuh affi watch yuh steps and be careful,” Nickoi says and we did just that until we finally reach the bottom.

“Wah yuh wah eat?” Gutta asks Anna, his voice low and playful.

She looks up, a smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth. “Hotdogs,” she replies with a wink.

Nickoi looks at me. “Mi want shaved ice,” I answer because I know he was about to ask the same thing.

“Food,” he presses. “Yuh can always get shaved ice.”

“Alright... umm beef,” I decide.

“Ah, fawud,” he shoots Gutta a look.

“Do unuh thing and meet wi back at the car by 12 cause we affi get ready fi the flight,” Nickoi tells Gutta, his tone firm but casual. He walks off, his hand slipping into mine as we head toward the restaurant.

We board the plane at exactly 1 PM, getting settled into our seats as we wait for takeoff. Anna and I sit together, while Nickoi and Gutta sit across from us, deep in conversation. I don’t try to eavesdrop; instead, I turn to Anna, starting up a conversation to pass the time.

“The flight a guh long mi cya bother,” I whine and she laughs.

“Girl, don’t even talk about it. How yuh meet Nickoi thou?” I blush at her question.

“I met Nickoi in the worst way... he was about to shoot my driver and he saw me.” I start telling her the story and she looks at me intently. When I’m done she smiles.

“Girl that nice eeeh!!!” Nice? I chuckle and hear the pilot talking and I ignore it, asking my question.

“How yuh meet Gutta?” I question. It makes her laugh.

“Mi always know Jai enuh,” her voice drops to a whisper. “A one a mi bredda friend though and him never like it so them fall out.”

“Ohhh so them nuh talk back after that?” I ask and she shakes her head no.

“No sah mi bredda live a Canada now though.”

The plane takes off and we continue to talk, we exchanged numbers and asked each other questions until we got tired. I moved over to snuggle into Nickoi and Anna does the same with her man. He sips his Dussé and I raise my brows even though my eyes are heavy. Mi wah sleep.

“Yuh change up today.” I say, getting comfortable.

“Mi like this too mon but that a if mi feel for it,” he says and I rest my head on him.

“Yuh always feel fi Hennessy?” I tease and get a smirk.

“You wah watch sup’m?” he rasps.

“I’ll sleep faster,” I tell him and he turns on the Tv putting it on Night School. As I watch the comedy I laugh at Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish.

“Hey mi can never watch them and nuh laugh,” I continue to laugh. Nickoi smiles. My eyes starts getting heavier the more I watch the show until darkness takes over. Just as the first journey I woke up a couple times to eat and fall asleep again.

“Zara,” Nickoi shakes me and I open my eyes.

“Yes,” I say looking around and realize that we’re in Jamaica. “We reach,” I simply say and he smiles at my grogginess.

“Yes yuh hungry?”

“Kinda,” I push my body up. He puts his arms around me walking out and I spot two pilots coming out to talk to him.

“Hey the place cold enuh,” I fold my arms meeting Gutta and Anna, Nickoi joins us shortly after.

He hugs Anna and shakes Gutta’s hand. “Yuh know how it guh dung already enuh.”

I smile at them. “It was awesome guys,” I tell them.

“No joke,” Gutta says.

“Fi real yuh have taste girl cause Hawaii was the bomb,” Anna playfully pushes my shoulder.

“Purr,” I smile and they get in their car, honk the horn and drive out.

Nickoi and I get in the Range Rover, after putting the stuff in the trunk. Then he pulls off, heading home.

“It feels good to be back here but I miss Hawaii,” I pout, feeling a twinge of nostalgia. Nickoi’s smile graces my peripheral vision.

“Another time Mami,” his lips curls into a smirk.

“I love you. My birthday weekend was great,” I let out a sigh, casting a glance his way. “Thanks for everything.”

He nods, a smile lighting his face. “It’s the least I can do.”

The least?

Ouuuu chileeee I love it here !
