I decided to help him out by kissing Camillia, apologizing in my own way with my tongue. Or maybe I was thanking her. Likely a bit of both.
Because she’d blown my mind with her perfection.
The way she’d encouraged me to bleed, taking my cock without hesitation, coming twice with me inside her.
Fuck.
I really could do it all again right now.
Pound her into the bed.
Force her to scream for hours on end.
But I wanted to ensure she was okay, that she was fully healed, that she didn’t hate us for everything that had happened today.
It was all so fucked up.
We should have talked more. We still had no idea what had truly happened to her.
Oh, I believed what she’d said. But that just confused the situation more.
Where did she go for thirty days? What happened to her? Did it hurt her in some way? Will she be okay?
The questions pelted my mind while I kissed her, my heart aching in my chest, that anchor tugging on my insides with dark intentions.
All the while, Az was driving Camillia toward another climax, one that was probably going to knock her out.
Perhaps that was his plan. If she passed out, we could finally talk.
But I wanted her to be part of the conversation. I didn’t want to make decisions for her anymore. That hadn’t worked in the past. We needed to collaborate. Talk. Figure this out.
Who even am I?I marveled, this line of thought contradicting everything I’d built within myself for the last ten years.
I sounded like the old Ajax.
The one who had been determined to help Emelyn.
The one who had lost everything as a result.
But have I really been living these last few years?I asked myself. I’d been breathing, yes. But was I truly happy?
I blinked, pulling away from Camillia as the words percolated through my mind.
Her eyes opened to capture mine.
Then they widened as she focused on something over my shoulder, and a scream escaped her.
I glanced over to find Melek sitting in the chair, one leg crossed over the other and a bowl of ice cream in his hands. He had the spoon poised right against his lips as Az came shooting to his feet.
“What?” Melek asked conversationally as Camillia started scrambling across the bed to cover herself. “Is Azazel the only one allowed to indulge in a snack?”
“What the fuck are you doing in here?” Az demanded, stepping in front of Camillia to shield her.
“Well, I came to deliver a message from Typhos, but I didn’t want to interrupt. Thus…” He gestured to his ice cream with the spoon and shrugged. “I figured you were going to be another five minutes or so, and the show was making me… hungry.”
Az ran a hand over his face, a curse slipping from his lips. “This isn’t what it looks like.”
Melek’s eyebrows shot upward. “Oh? You weren’t trying to make dear Cami come a third time?” He cocked his head. “Then what were you doing?”
