“Camillia,” I repeated, trying again to make her move. “If you don’t release me, I’m going to rip these panties off and fuck you with my tongue.”
She jolted in response, pressing more of that damp fabric against my face. “Okay,” she breathed.
Her thighs remained tight around me, her warmth seeping into my body. It was a sensual invitation, one I needed to refuse.
But a soft moan left her lips as she jerked again, her desire wrapping around my neck like a noose, tightening and threatening to suffocate me if I didn’t react.
Az’s words kept playing through my head, his agreement that Lucifer had done this all for a reason, but for a very different reason from what I wanted to believe.
“But he’s a sadist. He just enjoys having a reason to punish those who are under his wing.”
Is that what this is?I wondered. Some sort of twisted game? A way to give Lucifer a reason to take control and punish me… because he’ll enjoy it?
That didn’t seem too far-fetched to me. Actually, it sounded a lot like Lucifer.
And it would be just like Melek to ensure his Hell Fae King mate was given exactly what he wanted.
I groaned, torn between fighting against their wicked intentions and giving in to the yearning blossoming on my tongue.
Camillia still hadn’t moved. She’d even said, “Okay,” as though accepting my threat as an offer.
This is fucking insane.
How am I supposed to deny her?
I’d tasted her pussy before, felt her pulse around my cock, and it hadn’t been enough. It mightneverbe enough.
I nuzzled her damp center as a growl built in my throat. “Melek turned you on.” My voice sounded rough, like I wasn’t getting enough air. “And now you want my tongue.”
“Youturned me on,” she corrected, her body shifting to her back while her legs stayed locked around my neck.
I rolled with her automatically, hypnotized by her seductive form, and ended up on my stomach with my face poised perfectly to please her. I just needed to remove her panties first.
Her thighs squeezed my neck, her bare heels digging into my back.
“I’ve wanted you all week, Ajax. But you’ve refused to touch me.” Her tone held a hint of accusation in it as her fingers threaded through my hair.
“Because you’re not mine to touch.”
“What does that even mean?” she demanded. “I’m not a candidate, right? I can’t be claimed. Unless…”
I met her stormy gaze from between her thighs. “Unless what?”
“Is it because of what Melek said? About how he plans to mate me?” The accusatory bite had left her voice, softening her words to a more thoughtful undertone.
“Is that what he told you?” I asked, a pang going through my chest.Melek wants to mate Camillia?
She looked a little perplexed. “Yeah, he said we’re intended. But it’s Melek. He always talks in riddles.”
“Hmm.” The reverberation from my hum made her jolt, her fingers tightening in my hair. I’d assumed Melek was playing some sort of game, perhaps even using Camillia in a grand scheme.
However, maybe he actually wanted her.
What does that mean for me? For Az?
And why am I even thinking about that? Camillia can’t be mine. I can play with her, enjoy her in the moment, but I can’t keep her.
Another pang shot through my chest, the sensation familiar yet foreign. Familiar, as I’d felt it countless times after losing my loved ones. And foreign because I didn’t expect to experience that feeling with Camillia.
