AUDREY
This time, when I came to, I was still lying face down on the mattress and looking into Bishop’s warm brown eyes. Knox was still buried inside me, his tongue laving the wound he’d made in my shoulder and his body still vibrating with power.
“Hi,” Bishop said, and he brushed a lock of sweaty hair from my forehead. Lust still filled his eyes, but it was softened with a breathtaking love.
My heart swelled, the warmth I felt when I was with him building, filling me with certainty. Just like wild Knox with his even wilder wolf was mine, so, too, was gentle, generous Bishop.
“Kiss me,” I told him.
Knox nuzzled my neck then pulled out and helped me roll over and lie on my back while keeping a hand on my stomach.
Bishop didn’t seem to care that Knox was still touching me. He settled himself over me, holding himself up on his elbows and dipping close until our foreheads touched, creating a private cocoon for just the two of us.
“As my mate commands,” he said, his voice soft and reverent, and he slowly pressed his lips against mine.
Warmth billowed around my heart and seeped outward, sinking deep into every nerve, fiber, and cell in my body.
Home.
This was home. Everything about Bishop reassured me that I was finally safe, finally loved, finally home.
Knox was my freedom, my primal wildness that only appeared in my dreams, and Bishop was my shelter in the storm.
“You’re so amazing, Audrey,” Bishop murmured against my lips. “So beautiful and determined and brave. I knew the minute I saw you that you were special. I love you so much.”
“I love you, too,” I said, my eyes burning with tears. I’d waited my whole life for someone to say those words to me and I never wanted to let him go. I wanted to stay in this dream forever, making love to Bishop and Knox.
But that wouldn’t help save him. If I didn’t wake up, it would only make things more complicated and I had to save him.
“Hey,” he said, nuzzling my cheek as if he could sense my shift of emotions. “It’s okay. We can just cuddle for the rest of the dream.”
“No.” Never. I wanted him closer, needed him closer. The compulsion surged within me, and I tangled my fingers in his hair and drew him down so I could kiss him again.
“I want you to make love to me,” I told him. I wanted the awe and tenderness from our first time together.
“Always,” he whispered, his expression filled with a soul-deep affection. “Forever.”
He captured my lips in a passionate kiss and slowly pushed inside me, drawing out my aching yearning until finally — finally! — he was deep inside me.
Our shifter connection deepened and for a second, I felt as connected with him as I did with Knox when I was awake.
Then he started to move, a slow slide out and a just as slow push back in. Each stroke dragged against my hypersensitive channel, rebuilding the heat he’d ignited with his tongue before Knox had made me see stars and sinking it deep inside me, strengthening our connection.
In and out.
Slow and steady.
Driving me higher and higher, making me breathless with anticipation.
“Bishop,” I moaned, my hips bucking into his thrust, desperate for more friction.
My core ached with a deep thrumming desire, my whole body tense with the buildup of his sensual strokes despite his agonizingly slow pace.
“So beautiful,” Bishop said, sitting back and grabbing my hips to hold me still, taking full control of my pleasure. “Let me make you feel good.”
He withdrew to just the tip, and my inner muscles fluttered with his withdrawal, needing him back inside me, filling me. Then he thrust back in, a little harder than before, sending desire shivering through me.
A moan escaped my lips and my eyes rolled back as I gave in to him. I focused on where our bodies connected, on the sensual thrusts igniting every nerve in my core and the warmth around my heart.
The wildness I sometimes had in these dreams lazily rose from deep within me and Bishop matched it. Our dream-powers caressed and entwined in a slow primal dance. It filled my senses with everything that was Bishop, power and affection and comfort.
“Sisters, Audrey,” Bishop groaned, his pace picking up, his control starting to slip.
I dragged my eyes open and met his gaze, falling into a bottomless brown warmth filled with green stars. I could feel his desire on the edge of breaking free of his hold as well as his love and pride and awe.
The feelings astounded me. People didn’t feel things like that for me. I was weak. I couldn’t shift. I could only dream that someone as powerful and handsome as Bishop would want to be with me.
But it wasn’t just a dream. He wanted me in real life. It wasn’t a trick and I wasn’t imagining it.
He wanted me and he was mine .
The thought made my soul sing and my power billowed stronger, igniting around my heart and rushing into every part of my body.
God, I loved this man. I loved him with the very depths of my soul.
He pumped harder and faster into me, and my desire spiraled higher.
“Yes, Bishop,” I moaned. Yes yes yes.
His hips jerked, and his rhythm stuttered as he struggled to maintain his pace. The brown warmth of his gaze darkened as his wolf rose to the surface and the feelings rushing between us turned molten, everything else forgotten. All that remained was our overwhelming need.
An inferno roared around my heart and my muscles shook. I squirmed in his grip, unable to control myself, desperate to buck up to meet him, and couldn’t catch my breath. Our dream-powers writhed, swirling faster and faster, building higher and higher, and I couldn’t look away from him.
I was on fire, desperate for a release and yet desperate to hold on as long as possible even as the pressure threatened to burn me up.
And then he rubbed my clit and pleasure exploded through my body.
Oh, God.
He roared his own release and every muscle in my body contracted, locking us together and capturing me in a blazing inferno of bliss. The pleasure spun me around and around, green stars flashing across my vision, and a deep booming gong roared through me.
It dragged my essence into its consuming reverberations and brilliant golden light surrounded us. I fell deeper and deeper into his eyes, his soul, his very essence, spinning around and around, our powers— No, our souls, merging into a blazing golden tapestry.
Mine.
The tapestry flared, locking into place and connecting my soul to Bishop’s.
Yes, yours. Always.
