CHAPTER SEVEN

OLIVIA

O livia has been trying to calm the nerves raging inside of her as they made their way towards her house.

She wasn’t ashamed at all about where she lived, but Liv knew that he wasn’t going to be thrilled when they got there.

As he pulled into the parking spot in front of her apartment building, Olivia tried to dash out of the truck before Miles had a chance to put the truck into park. The stupid door wouldn’t budge though.

She tried again huffing when nothing happened. With a look of exasperation, Olivia turned and faced Miles not prepared for the look on his face.

“Little Bunny, I know that you didn’t just try and open the door while the truck was still moving?”

“Uh…no?” she questioned.

“Really? Cause if the child proof locks weren’t engaged you would have fallen right out of the truck while it was still moving. So would you like to try and answer my question again? ”

“Okay, so maybe I did. It doesn’t matter because it’s not like I could get out anyways.”

“It seems like we need to have a small discussion about health and safety before I leave here tonight.”

Rolling her eyes, Olivia sighed and pulled on the door handle again hoping that it would magically open even though she knew that it wouldn’t. Who puts the child proof locks on anyways?

She heard Miles climb out of the truck and waited for him to make his appearance at her door. Olivia tried to slide out of the truck once he opened the door, but she was stopped by a hard chest.

“Olivia, it isn’t safe for you to climb out on your own. The truck is too high up and you will fall if you’re not careful.”

Olivia felt his hands slide around her waist before she was airborne, then landing on her feet.

Shutting the truck door, Miles grabbed her hand and led them towards the entrance of her building before she even had a chance to process what just happened.

Miles stepped to the side allowing her to lead them towards her apartment. The panic that had faded was back with full vengeance. This would be the first time she had let a man into her apartment since she escaped.

Her home was her safe space and she didn’t know how to feel about a male presence being there.

Grabbing her keys from her purse, she slipped her house key into the lock, unlocking her door before she was once again airborne.

Olivia really needed him to stop doing that. She was placed behind him as he walked inside and checked the place out before letting her come any farther into the apartment.

What did he think was going to happen? She knew that there was always the chance that David was lying in wait for her return home, but she still believed that he had no idea where she was.

“Come here, Little Bunny. We need to have a chat.”

Olivia knew that there would be no getting out of this conversation. She had messed up big time and would have to face the music.

Crossing over the kitchen to where he was sitting on her couch, Olivia sat down on the farthest end of the couch, just out of his reach.

“Do you know what wasn’t okay about your behavior tonight in the truck?”

She hoped that if she didn’t answer his question that this conversation would end a whole lot quicker than she believed it would. She should have known that he wouldn’t let this go though.

“I asked a question, Little one. I might not be your Daddy officially, but it’s not nice to ignore a direct question.”

Olivia didn’t budge. There was no way that she was talking to this man about this.

All she wanted to do was soak in the tub before she crawled into bed for the few hours of sleep she knew she would manage.

“I am going to ask one more time, do you know what wasn’t okay about your behavior tonight in the truck?”

Sighing, “It was naughty to try and get out of the truck before it stopped moving.” Olivia was shocked at the way her voice sounded. It seemed like he was, too. It had been awhile since she was even close to slipping that deep into Littlespace.

Yeah she played with Raelyn when they had their playdates, but she never allowed herself to ever go that deep. She blamed Miles and the Daddy vibes he was giving off right now.

Clearing her throat Olivia spoke again. “No, it wasn’t a smart idea for me to try and climb out of the truck before you had come to a stop, but it’s not like I went anywhere anyways. What crazy person has the child lock on anyways when there isn’t a kid in the car?”

“A Daddy does and while there wasn’t a child in the car there was a Little girl in the car. That’s not the point though, Little Bunny. If you had been able to open the truck door you would have fallen out and gotten run over.”

Okay now he was just being dramatic. There was no way that she would have gotten ran over by his truck.

She was a grown woman for heaven's sake. She was more than capable of making sure not to fall underneath the wheels. He was making this a much bigger deal than it actually was.

“I wouldn’t have been run over by the truck. Worse that would have happened, if I would have fallen, was scraping my knees. I have had way worse happen to me before.”

Olivia slammed her lips shut. She had spoken way too much and given him too much information. There was no way that he was going to let that go.

“What do you mean you’ve had worse, Little one?”

“Oh nothing. Just that I’ve gotten hurt worse than scraping my knee. I’ve broken a bone before you know.”

He didn’t look like he believed her response, but he didn’t push any farther. For that she was grateful since she had no idea how to lie to him again about it.

“The point is that it wasn’t okay that you did that and you could have gotten hurt badly. I may not be your Daddy, but I take your health and safety seriously and would never want to see my Little girl hurt.”

Olivia remained silent at his comment. He was right to say that he wasn’t her Daddy, but that doesn’t stop her mind from believing that he really was.

She knew better than to have those thoughts. It was wishful thinking that she would ever be able to have a Daddy.

Even if she did, Olivia didn’t know if she could ever fall fully into Littlespace again. It was like she was broken and her Little was in hiding and only peeked out when she wanted to.

“Now, because we don’t have a dynamic in place and we haven’t had a long conversation about everything, I’m not going to give you a punishment.

I do want you to remember that this will be the only warning you get.

Do not ever do that again. Daddy or not, I will tan your bottom if you try to jump out of a moving vehicle again. Do I make myself clear?”

Olivia nodded her head.

“I need the words, Little Bunny. A head shake will not suffice here. I will always require you to give me a verbal answer no matter what the question is.”

“Yes, Miles. I understand. It won’t happen again.”

The smile Miles graced her with warmed her heart and made her blush. She doesn’t understand why this man has such an effect on her. She should be scared of him not longing for him.

Standing, Miles walked over and stood before her. Leaning down slowly as if he was waiting for her to flinch away from him again, he pressed a kiss upon her forehead.

“I’m going to leave now, sweet girl. I will text you tomorrow when I have information about your car. Now, come lock the door behind me.”

Following him to the door, she stood to the side as he lingered a few seconds longer. She could tell that he wanted to do something, but seemed worried about how she would react to it.

Olivia didn’t know what came over her, but next thing she knew, she had stepped forward and pressed her lips against his.

Trying to quickly step back after she realized what she had done, she was stopped by Miles’ hands wrapping around her back.

Holding her in place, Miles pressed his lips against hers again in a bruising kiss that would have made her grandma blush. Breaking apart he smiled down at her and winked.

“Be a good girl, Olivia. Lock the door behind me and don’t stay up too late.”

She nodded her head and closed the door behind him before slipping the locks into place. Olivia leaned against the door rubbing her lips.

Not a clue where the brave Olivia came from, but she couldn’t find a single feeling of remorse about what happened. It was completely out of character for her to behave that way.

Even when she was with David, Olivia never was bold enough to initiate intimacy with him. Then, when he started showing his true colors, she tried everything in her power to not do anything intimate with him without showing her true feelings about it.

She didn’t want to think about what could have happened if he had sensed the fear she had every time he made any sort of sexual advance. The physical and emotional abuse was enough.

Olivia doesn’t think she would have survived as long as she did if he had begun to push himself upon her. Pushing those thoughts to the dark hole in the back of her mind, she went into the bathroom, and started a bath slipping out of her clothes on the way.

Relaxing in the tub and snuggling up with Nibbles and a good book afterwards seemed like the perfect way to end her night.
