CHAPTER FIVE

OLIVIA

O livia blew out a breath and read back over the last few messages that she had sent to Miles. She knew that it was a big risk letting out that little bit of personal information about herself, but she couldn’t bring herself to lie about it.

After the trauma that she went through with David, she had spent some time during her recovery from the second surgery researching social work and the programs out there for women who are in her situation.

She was quite upset at the lack of resources there were. It was disheartening to know that there wasn’t much support for helping women and children out of abusive homes and relationships.

Olivia had made a promise to herself that day that if she ever had the opportunity to go back to school for something, it would be social work with a focus on battered women and children.

She wanted to be able to give someone else the help with their situation that she had longed to have when she was running from hers .

Pushing those silly dreams aside, because she knew that until she was free there would never be a hope of that, Olivia decided to soak in the tub again and try to relax.

Filling up the tub, she reached under the bathroom counter and pulled out the secret stash of things she kept there.

While she didn’t normally let her Little side out, tonight she felt like it was necessary. Olivia kept a handful of items that she enjoyed using while in Littlespace and only allowed herself the opportunity to play with them when she was feeling exceptionally stressed or emotional.

Dumping a cap full of the lavender baby soap, Olivia turned and picked out a few bath toys while the tub continued to fill.

Choosing a rubber duck and bunny, some bath crayons, and the floating bubble maker, she dumped them all in before turning off the tap.

No Little time would be complete without a special drink. Knowing the water would still be hot when she got back, Olivia dashed into the kitchen and dug out her baby bottle from the back of the cabinet and filled it up with plain milk.

She giggled at the thought that crossed her mind. Rae hated plain milk and was known for throwing fits when she had to drink it.

Olivia didn’t understand why Raelyn didn’t like it. She personally found it very delicious and often drank milk over anything else.

She would drink chocolate or strawberry milk every once in a while, but normally just preferred plain. It was healthier for her anyways and she didn’t mind the taste.

Stripping her clothes as she headed back into the bathroom, Olivia slid down into the warm bath that awaited her. Taking a deep breath, she let all the tension of today seep from her body.

This was exactly what she needed. She felt something brush against her leg and looked down to see the rubber bunny floating beside her.

“Well hello there, Hoppers. It’s so nice to see you today.”

She took a sip of her milk before setting it aside to pick up the bath crayon she had set on the side of the tub.

“Would you like to draw a pretty picture with me, Hoppers? You and Mr. Quacks can help me pick out the right colors.”

Grabbing the purple crayon, Olivia started drawing a pretty field of flowers on the side of the wall.

She loved that her bathtub was one of the shower tub combos. The wall of the tub made the perfect canvas for her pictures.

She continued to draw and play with her toys until the water ran cold. Figuring it was time to finish washing up, Olivia washed her hair and rinsed off then braved the cold of getting out of the tub.

Since she decided to have a night in Littlespace, Olivia figured no harm would be done in fully slipping. Grabbing her pink footie pajamas with stars on them she slipped into that before braiding her hair back into two braids.

It was fun to braid her hair and sleep on it when it was wet because her hair would be curly the next few days until she washed it again.

She grabbed Nibbles from the bed and settled on the floor beside the bed pulling out her coloring books from beneath it.

Laying down with Nibbles, her paci, and the rest of her bottle, Olivia listened to The Little Einsteins and colored until she could barely keep her eyes open any longer.

Deciding to leave everything to clean up tomorrow, she slid beneath the covers and for the first time in months dreamed of someone else. A certain someone who looked an awful lot like Miles.

Knowing that she didn’t have anywhere else to be today, Olivia decided to have a lazy morning and lay in bed for as long as she could ignore her bladder.

It was almost like a game to see how many minutes would pass before she desperately needed to go.

Her record so far was six minutes, but it was getting easier to ignore it for a little bit longer. She knew that if she ever had a Daddy of her own, he would never let her play this game.

Olivia was afraid to admit it, but her favorite books to read were the ones where the Little girl played in a very small headspace.

She knew she would never get the chance to do that herself, but she enjoyed reading about it.

Olivia had looked online and in the stores at different baby things that she longed to have, but never bought them for herself. It seemed like such a waste to do.

She had only allowed herself to have the handful of items she did have because she found them at consignment shops or on sale for very cheap.

It took awhile for her to save up for a little nest egg should anything go awry again, but once she felt like she had enough hidden away she just focused on putting her money towards things that she needed or might want.

Surprisingly, she made a decent amount of money at Ivory Mountain and she kept her bills and necessities low, so it was easy to have a little bit of shopping money.

Olivia was constantly watching the stores and online shops for a second hand Kindle. She reads on her phone, but because she pays for the cheapest phone and plan it can be crappy at times.

Olivia used to own a Kindle, it was something David had bought for her after one of his bad episodes. She cherished that device and was heart broken that she had to leave it behind.

Now she was determined to own another one and pay for the subscription she needed to be able to borrow books for free. It seemed like such a silly goal to have, but for someone who was starting over it was a big deal. Or at least that’s what she told herself.

Pulling up the latest book on her phone, Olivia lost herself to the imaginary world where Littles existed and were loved and cherished by their Daddies. She didn’t even notice how much time had passed until a text came across her screen.

Miles: Hey, my Little Bunny. I was just checking in to see how you were doing.

Kicking her feet in bed, she snuggled down with Nibbles before typing out a reply.

Olivia: I’m okay this morning. Just being lazy and enjoying my day off.

Miles: Good to hear that, Little one. What have you been up to so far?

It was this moment that her bladder reminded her that she had yet to go potty. Springing up from the bed, Olivia dashed into the bathroom barely making it to the toilet before she had an accident.

It was these moments that she once again wished that she would be brave enough to try a pull-up or diaper.

Did she think that she would ever feel comfortable enough to use it? No, but if an accident did happen, she would be protected .

Then again, if she didn’t play the silly game, it probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal anyways.

Washing her hands and taking a second to brush her teeth, Olivia crawled back into bed pulling her phone to her realizing that she had a few missed text messages from a couple of people.

She decided to open the one from Rae first.

Raelyn: Hey brat! Wanna come over for dinner and game night tonight?

Olivia: Are you sure I’m the brat here? If I remember correctly, I wasn’t the one hiding things from their best friend .

Raelyn: Okay okay, so maybe I’m a little bratty too. That’s besides the point.

Raelyn: Do you want to come over tonight or not? Daddy is gonna order pizza and I think Uncle M might join us too.

Her heart raced at the thought of seeing Miles again. She wanted that, but still remembered that she needed to be careful about getting attached to him.

Olivia: Sure! I’ll be there as long as we get to play a round of CandyLand. You know that it’s my favorite.

Raelyn: I’m sure we can convince them of that. I’m excited to see my bestie tonight. Be here at six?

Olivia: Sounds good, I’ll see you then.

Raelyn: you!

Olivia: Love you too girly !

Olivia grinned before moving on to the next message tapping Miles name.

Miles: Where did you go babygirl?

Miles: Are you there?

Oops, guess she took longer to respond than she thought.

Olivia: Yes! Sorry, I’m here. I got sidetracked.

Olivia: I haven’t done much. Laid in bed and read some more of the book I started a few days ago.

Miles: Oh? What book are you reading, Little one?

She thought for a moment and considered how she would answer his question. Admitting that she was reading Wolf by Kate Oliver would be telling him that she enjoyed reading those kinds of topics.

Olivia knew that he was a Daddy and would understand, but she didn’t know if she was ready to out herself like that.

Deciding to play it safe for now, she listed off a generic title and hoped he wouldn’t push any farther.
